My Iron Duck
A page of misheard Radiohead lyrics. Thom Yorke is ridiculously mumbly a lot of the time, so it's natural that this guy (and other Radiohead fans) were easily able to compile a large list of these things. One of my favorites:

In paranoid android I thought he was saying:
"Hey Mel"
instead of:
"Rain Down"

And:

Also, a friend of mine thought he said:
"This is what you'll get if you miss the bus."
Instead of:
"when you mess with us."

Lonely Planet
This site is so cool! If you're interested in foreign travel, and/or you'd like to learn more about the rest of the world, this is the place to surf to. There are maps, as well as guides to lodging, food, the locals, interesting destinations, and culture. I've spent countless hours reading about a bunch of places I'll probably never get to go to.

Reeeg!
A four or so year old interview with Regis Philbin for the Detroit News in which he is described as "out of control."

"Irrepressible and zany Regis Philbin will do anything for a laugh."

Last time I checked, Regis was none of those things. In the article we also learn about his "television oddessy." There's also a lot of stuff about the Regis & Kathie Lee talk show, in which the interviewer repeatedly tries to get Regis to rag on other shows.

"During a meeting later, a visitor asks if there's another side of Philbin's personality that the public doesn't see, a dark side."

Huh?!

One last look at the old St. Louis Arena
Until 1994, the St. Louis Arena was the principal indoor arena for the city. After that, the newly built Kiel Center became the home for the Blues, as well as the venue for arena concerts. While it's a great modern facility, there was something about the old Arena that a lot of St. Louisans (including myself) miss. Sure, Arena's roof leaked, the place was kind of old, and the scoreboard was ancient, but it had atmosphere, it had personality. When you walked inside, it was really cold. You went into the seating area and it was just one giant bowl. No tiered seating except for the two "loft" areas at near the roof of either goal ends. The Arena may not have been sparkling and ultramodern, but it had more character than a million brand new arenas.

Here's a Quick Time movie of the Arena's unfortunate implosion at the hands of the City of St. Louis.

Alternately, you can buy a seat from the Arena. Those were some comfortable seats, all padded and whatnot.

Disgruntled AOL 5.0 Users Seek Up to $8 Billion in Damages
A bunch of AOL users are pissed and suing the company because they say the newest version of AOL's software messes up their computer.

"As soon as I installed that it started crashing, started locking up. It started just having a realm of unknown problems," said Danny Brown, owner of the Computer Handyman. "

All this in addition to the host of AOL's known problems! I feel no pity for these people. If you want to go online without the hassle, ditch AOL and learn a bit more about computers.

The Hamster Chronicles
While searching my Linear Algebra professor's website looking for class information, I stumbled across this. Marvel in the wonders of the mysterious "Great Hamster Plot," and read bafflingly long accounts of four years of hamster antics.

Frightening picture of Billy Corgan
Is it just me, or has the Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan for the past few years looked like a gothic version of the Weekly World News' "Bat Boy?" Here's the rock star/escaped freak of nature in a recent photo. You make the call.
