Today I came to office in a very cheerful mood. I felt great. Until I read an e-mail from my boss, which questions my EL last Monday. To say that I am in a towering rage is an understatement. I am so angry, I would quit my job on the spot.
There was supposed to be 4 of us last Monday. My boss and his assistant was on leave. I had an EL because the care broke down in Kuantan. The stupid man is asking me why I informed the office so late! Tell me, what is the difference? I wasn't turning up anyway. Plus, I SMS a workmate at 4 a.m. Guess that was pointless.
Right now I am summoned to the office at 10 a.m. Where I will look my angriest yet. If he blows this out of porportion, I will quit. This idiot is not worth my health or my blood pressure. I can find other things to do. Screw him.
Love,
Julie
Addendum
Had that meeting with boss. Unfortunately, had some emergency troubleshooting that cropped up before the meeting. Work has always been a good way to distract me from my emotions. So by the time the meeting started, I pretty much calmed down.
Today at 1 p.m. the whole building blacked out. Just when I was staying in the office during lunch that this could happen. *sigh* So we go home early! Yey!! Left office slightly after 3.30 p.m. Went home and hogged the TV. And cooked dinner since mom had to work late. Thats it then. Later!!
Hi! Sorry about the delay. Was so busy at work. So the impromptu dissapperance on Monday was not on purpose. I was stranded in Kuantan when the car tire punctured. The story went that I was on a trip to Besut, Terengganu for a wedding. Halfway to the new Kuantan-KL highway, the tyre punctured in the middle of nowhere!!! There goes my 1 day annual leave. *sigh*
Puteri Gunung Ledang
I watched it on the 31st August and it rocks! It does help that Hang Tuah was played by M. Nasir. He is somewhat my hero of sort. In the Malays music industry he rocks. I find his lyrics to be great. Ok, at this point I digress. And Tiara was a great Puteri Gunung Ledang despite all that 'age' thingy that my brother keep on harping about. Sure she isn't a young 21 years old actress but that's not the point of this story.
Puteri Gunung Ledang is not a girl at the first blush of youth. She is a woman of wisdom and grace. She has to be old enough to have courage to defy her brother, the KING. We are talking about Majapahit back then when royal women are mostly chattle for inter-country relations. She must be wise to survive in Gunung Ledang in the middle of nowhere. I find her very much suited to the character.
I went watching with Wanis and another friend of hers. They are botanist. I should have known when they identified the shooting location by the plant that exist in the jungle. *sighs* Then they started a short discussion of the thesis done by another friend at that site.
I personally thought that the first 15 minutes of the movie should be redone. Tiara Indonesian accent could be better, but it imporved as the movie progresses. I unfortunately was watching the movie with Wanis. Both she and I usually giggled over the strangest thing. Like when she saw Pangeran Deman and whispered, "Hey, isn't that Ali Setan??" Had my shoulder shaking in laughter. I had to pinch my nose to stop laughing. So, hence everytime Pangeran Demak appered, he was Ali Setan.
That's all. I have to study now. Later!!
Love,
Julie.
