Well, to the remainder of the world not in the know, from tommorow to next Monday, Kit and Amber will be joining me for . . .
DaggerCon!
Yes, a week of madness and debauchery! Fun for all! An epic meeting of the minds, if you will.
And now, a memo:
Kit & Amber: Well, I promised I'd post an alert, so here we are. You're going to want to bring
- swimsuits (we're going to the Indiana Dunes)
- RenFaire clothes (it's too late to back out, your tickets are bought. if you have no costume, one will be made. ^__^)
- money (in case you want to buy and cool stuff in Chicago or elsewhere)
Current plans, besides the dunes and RenFaire, include a day of museums and such downtown, a visit to Chinatown, stargazing, and, just possibly, midget tossing.

Whee, no school! This, of course, means a massive increase in work hours, but I have very few complaints about that. I need every buck I can possibly scrounge for college.
I seem to have inexplicably acquired a new . . . interest. To give a small idea of him, I shall paraphrase a conversation between myself and a friend.
"So, tell me about this guy."
" . . . well, his name's Tim. And he does swimming and wrestling. And scouting. And he's cute and likes anime. And has a sense of humor. And is smart."
"Like, your level of smart?"
"Yeah, pretty much."
". . . you found. A smart. Jock."
*nodnod*
". . . go away. I don't like you anymore."
*helpfully* "Did I mention that his asking-out included a dozen roses?"
So . . . yes. I'm still in something of a state of dizzy disbelief. And I will shut up, before sombebody beans me with a brick.
[Edit (5/29/03), 6:49 p.m.: Uploaded entry. Less than thrilled with today's experimentals rehersal. Mleh. =_= ] Wednesday, May 14, 2003 01:01 p.m. listening to: the chatter of choir students during a free period

Well, I'm now doing my blogging fom a nifty little utility called FreeJournal, an absolutely free litte tidbit provided by handspring.com. It's basically a glorified memo pad that automatically gives date and time, but hey. No complaints here.
Finally, I'm free of classes. I took my last final, for English IV AP, this morning. Finally, I can log, write, and tend to all the other little sundries I've neglected for the past few months or so. Yeeeeeeeeep. Time flies when you're busy to the point of criminal insanity.
Not too much on the home front, otherwise. I turn 18 at long last this Saturday, and graduate a week from yesterday. In short, by this time next week, all civil responsbility for my life will have been roughly shuffled together and handed to me in a box.
As of now, I am assistant director and basic fight choreographer for the quasi-Shakesperean Experimental (i.e. end of the year one-act student-directed play) Mark is producing. The fighting is done with long poles and sabers, and costuming will be modern-day. Also, the Capulets (my people) dress in red and black, which fills me with joy. Because . . . er, I'm a freak who likes colors like that. I will be missing practice today, though. My dear, dear friend Katie is taking me to see The Lion King musical downtown. To which I say boo. yah.
In short, Daggy is a happy, happy girl.
[Edit (5/15/03, 10:01 a.m.): FreeJournal has been deleted because, despite other conveniences, on the whole it sux0rs for my purposes. And unfortunately, my glee has been cut short by a recurrence of full-blown Monkey Virus, fever and all. Augh. However, even that did not keep me from gibbering in mad glee over The Lion King. Hoohah.]
