Heh.
music: Right Now- SR-71

You know, reading journals makes me want to go back to school, just to see Kezia and Brandon and Aurelius and Tania and Stephen on a more daily basis, and hopefully Liam and Sam and Sam(antha)and Mark. And even, much as I hate to admit it, some of my teachers. (Regier, Lane, Edwards)

I need to stop spamming and go to bed, y'know?

Rock on, people.

Our Lady of the Perpetual Mood-Swings
music: Sympathy- Goo Goo Dolls

Yeah, so in the end the good outnumbered the bad, and the day was won by me, my video games, my column, my computer, and even Vic. Wow.

Have 3195 words of a strange, AU, crossover fic where Elem. R. Davron meets 7th Kyel. Those two are so fucked.

Sample Line of Horribleness:

"Davron, I kill people." That stopped him. He looked down at the other man.
"What?"
"I killed people for a living. As a career. I'm an assasin. No one wants to sleep in the same bed as an assasin. So I'm going to go sleep on the floor. Right now."

Oh, and the song 'Right Now' by SR-71 turns out to be a song I really really love, but haven't heard in years. I just about squealed when I heard it. It rocks so hard. Go download it, if you have no life and are a mindless, downloading minion. Like Katelynn ~ducks flying, sharp objects~

Good night, me amigas.

Catharsis, Part the Third
music: Tonight is the Night I Fell Asleep at the Wheel- BNL

Amazing how ranting can really make ou feel better.

Catharsis, Part the Second. [I don't know when part one happened, but apparently I've used this title before)
music= Do You Like It- Our Lady Peace

It's funny what you think you have no problem with until it starts happening around you. To you. Whatever.

I think I need my Edmonton trip badly. I need to get away from myself for a while.

And though this may sound worse, I do feel a little better.

You Make Me So Happy I Want to Kill You...
music: Your Own Disaster- Taking Back Sunday

So today was cool. Went item hunting in KH and did surprisingly well. Wrote my column. Even had a great time hanging out with Vic. (Despite the Monopoly. I HATE Monopoly. Seriously.)

But today has also majorly sucked. I woke up from this really weird dream that left me feeling, well... tainted. If that makes any sense. Twisted, and gross and vaugely squicked. My subconscious sucks rhesus monkies.

And no, I do not want to talk about it. It was far too fucked for that.

I'm not.I'm not.I'm not.I'm not.I'm not.I'm not.I'm not.I'm not...

A Character Survey. Let the Fun-ness Ensue. Really.
music: Jailhouse Rock

1. Choose one of your Characters:
'Drin. Because Kyel gets too much fekkin' screem time for someone who has no scenes yet.

1a. Give their full name:
Andrinor Mialrin II. The first one was a bastard. And he had a moustache. 'Nuff said.

2. Any known family.
Two ignorant, spoiled and generally neglectful parents, a 13-14 year old bother (er... brother) named Savin, an older sister who is 21, named Demlza and a 6 year old sister named Tyera.

3. Describe him/her in three words:
Doormat, pathetic, bish (^_^;;;).

4. What does this character look like:
Uhm, tall-ish. Long brown hair, hazel eyes, tanned, a few freckles. He's a pretty boy. Sadly.

5. Where did the idea for him/her come from:
An accident back when we were RPG-ing the concept that eventually became my novel. 'Dri needed someone to talk to.

6. Is he/she a popular character:
Yeah. People like him, even though he's sad and pathetic and gets pushed around a lot. Or possibly because of all those.

7. What is his/her theme song, and why? (if you think they have one):
Perfect, by Simple Plan. It's sad. I like so many good and talented bands, and yet his image song comes from them...

8. Has anyone ever shipped/slashed your character:
Shipped, yes. There's a couple het ones, and K-chan and I like to make jokes about Andrino/Dariol. Which is REALLY REALLY ICKY and in no way condoned by the cannon. Ick. Dariol belongs with a tree. Really.

9. How do you feel this character has developed over time:
Uhm... in 27 chapters be goes from really quiet and stoic-y and sad to kind of funny, and a tiny bit flirty (by accident) and even HAPPY. Then he backslides and becomes a puppet. Go 'Drin!

10. Finally, give a quote from your character that you think defines them well:
"Gibblywha-ha-ha..." -Chapter 26

Oh, and a bit of conversation from the editing process (12 is now spilt into 2 chapters, a seven pager and a fiver).

'Dariol-chan is an ass. I love him. He and Danika should get married and have many oblivious, grunting children.'

We have also decided that the drooling/flustered girls in Aleric's math class are really Kyel in disguise. And that Alphon and Kyel need to do some machoistic bonding over battle scars. And Kerwyn and Alphon need more screen time.

Ah, the pressing demands of a fantasy author.

BTW: To Edmonton on Tuesday! Whoo!

I am Loser
music: Funny- Treble Charger

Actual line from a conversation with Katelynn:
Me: Oooh! Has there been any Bathtub Drowning yet?
K: No
Me: Aw...

Yup. I am loser. It says to right up there ~points to entry title~ Why? Because I forced my dad to watch Chicago with me tonight and we spent the next fifteen minutes doing dishes and discussing the coolness of Richard Geere's suit. The one with the red sequined pinstripes. And now I can't decide whether I in fact want to marry Queen Latifah, or merely to wear her clothing. Hmm...

Had my monthiversary party for my birthday yesterday. K, C and I went out for dinner and then watched vampire films from China and France. Let's not go there, ok?

Isn't it sad when I only have two friends who consistantly hang out with me? There are, like, seven people in our group at school, plus Aurelius. But only C and K ever hang with me. Bah. I DO need to like more of my friends. Or spend more time with Sam and Mel. Cause they actually seem cool.

But now I'm going to go and try to do some actual WORK.

After all, I go to Edmonton and WARP on Tuesday. Sweet sweet Whyte Ave...

'Boom'
music: 4am- Our Lady Peace

Ended up going to dad's. Today's his 3rd anniversary. Happy ani, dude. Also somehow wound up babysitting my (step) nephew Flexi (Felix) for an couple hours. We played catch with an orange and made action figures dance on his head. And I taught him an actual word, "Boom" and was then ridiculously pleased with myself. Also taught him about high-fiving. I may actually make a good (step) aunt yet.

Am now writing a strange crossover of Elem R and 7th involving two characters who are/were a pairing in both universes, and somehow end up meeting different versions of their better halves. This is what I do to get out of editing, folks. Sigh.

Mmmm... Pancakes
music: The One that Got Away- Edwin and the Pressure

The newest chapter of the manga scantilation I read, is up. Whoo!

Also in the news, mom and I made pancakes. The good, from scratch kind with sugar and vanilla and too much butter. Mmmm...

And the second chapter of Kay's birthday fic is finally up, making this the world's most belated gift I've given lately.

And I coloured the Frell tarot card-but the scan doesn't look anywhere near as nice as the real product. The colors might be too delicate. ~shrugs~ Oh well.

I wonder if BMB is updating again...

Much Later
music: The Good Fight- Dashboard Confessional

So:
1) Scandia rocked quite hard. No parental supervision isn't that unusual for me, but with a bunch of friends and lots of PS2 games, I finally understand the perks of such freedom. Good company, good times, decent pizza, and all the sexual innuendos you can handle at the campfire. Hotdogs, anyone? ^_^;;

2) ~gives C a hug. she knows why~

3) Started a tarot card thing for 7th. Just for something to do, y'know. Frell is the Hanged Man. One or two people will know why that was funny.

4) Trying to work on the second chapter of my EW saga. Keep getting distracted by random crap-Oooh! Shiny things! ...yeah, like that.

5) My TB fanfic I was reading is down T_T That server goes out so freaking often.

6) I beat the Hades Cup in Kingdom Hearts. *^_^* And the final boss went down on my first try. way too easy, man. Current KH Level: 59

7) Seriously, *59*. Can you believe it?

8) Yeah, that's about it. Gonna try to work again. Maybe.

Heigh ho, Heigh ho...
music: Something Vauge- Bright Eyes

So I'm off to Scandia at 3:00 today. ^_^
And K-Chan's coming! Whoo!

Oh, and I wrote vicious amounts of Kyel slash/angst last night. T'was fun... Almost hade Katelynn crying. And C even thought it wasn't bad. Wow.

Better...
music: Beauty School Drop Out- Less than Jake

You know, I've thought about it, and I think I really can live without watching 'ChICks FUckiNg BarN AnImAls'. Call me crazy...

Also, here's something for you, K (and maybe C):

My name is Kyel Gaetane. I'm a single, white male, seeking another single male. I think I'm sexy and like to scare bunnies. I'm looking for a non-smoker, unafraid of probable angsty death scenes. All interested must be willing to deal with flexible hours and the possibility of blood on their floors (mine).
Call...

Yes, I resisted the urge to say anything about Pina Coladas and walks in the rain. Aurelius would be proud of me.

Sometimes I really don't know...
music: Life After Lisa- Bowlinf for Soup (on my discman)

Uhm... yeah. Mom's finally decided to put the dog down. Yeah, I do mean Beamer.
It's been coming for a while. Since April, or even before that. Maybe since we got him. So she's going to do it while I'm out at Scandia with C and Co.
~sighs~ He's a horrible dog. He bites people, he spazzes if you do certain things that shouldn't bother a dog, he's just generally not very great, as far as pets go.
But he is my dog.
Which is why mom's taking him to the vet's while I'm out of town. I cannot, will not be here for this. Won't watch her go and then watch her come home without him.
It feels cowardly, but right now I could fucking care less.
Yeah, later.

So, things are going back to normal. Katelynn is home. C is blogging. I am slacking off instead of editing a one page chapter. And Mel is making me want to kill myself with laughter.

Here's what I mean, it's near the middle of the page, look for my name. ^_^;;;
I'm a lo-o-oser, baby.
But I get to go watch Bringing Down the House when I'm done here. And yes, I know that should offend my film buff sensibilities but it's Queen Latifah and Eugene Levy. If we could only work in Andrea Martin and Michael Pitt...
Yeah, I'll stop now.

music: Could it be Any Harder- The Calling

Stupid chest. I have spent the last HALF AN HOUR jumping to try and get this stupid chest. Then I found two other stupid chests, and now there are three stupid chests mocking me... GWAH!

I am calm. I am calm. Kingdom Hearts does not control my life. Kingdom Hearts does not control my life... oh, who am I kidding?

Maybe I should go edit.

Saturday, August 16, 2003
12:58 p.m.
Now, what have we learned today, Children?
music: Stormy Skies and Bloodshot Eyes- Far from Hereos

...that staying up until 5:00am to finish reading The Mallorean is a bad idea. A very very good, bad idea. So now I'm still a squealing Urgit fangirl (that little bit, when he threw his crown over his shoulder in excitement was just brilliant. ~beams~), and am now madly in love with 'Zakath (PS: My cat has been unfaithful to me again... would you like a kitten, Garion?), and a few things turned out the way I suspected they would, back in book one.

I'm glad, because all things considered, I think Eriond will make a great god. And it's all good, except for one thing:
What the HELL am I going to read now?

Which brings her playlist back up to, like, three songs. Grey St.
The Good Fight
and, uhm... I forget. Oh hell, it wasn't important. Much.

Anyway, chapter 10 edited. Enter the Liaden. You may all throw your tomatoes now.

"And though it's red blood bleeding from her now, it feels like cold blue ice in her heart..."

music: Jailhouse Rock- John Belushi

An evening with Stephen 'Next Elton John' Cash:
^_^ we watched Spaceballs- you know, the Mel Brooks movie. I love Mel Brooks. Love. Seriously. He's one of my heroes. After all, he made Young Frankenstien ("Frankensteen!")

Then he tried to BBQ my cat, AND taught me a C-minor blues scale on the piano. And then there was about an hour of jamming. That boy is so fucking talented. I love him, too.

How do I know such cool people.

So I'm just here to track my progress:

lime green fishnets and stripey green socks. ^_^

God, I wish I lived in London.

I'd also like to know if anyone else thinks the idea of a bondage top is a little weird. Wouldn't the straps get in the way?

But this makes C and I laugh. I'd wear it. To school.
Holy Shit. Am overcome with braclet lust... dude.
And on similar subjects, do you know how long I've been looking for a pendant like this? Or this? Or this? Damn you London, damn yoooooou...

I would also like to note here that C is a twisted little freak-monkey, as she just pointed out that I can't cut my own flesh with any of these. Weird dude. Weird.

music: Clearest Indication- Great Big Sea

"I'm a freshman in my fourth year at UCLA, but my real goal is to become a veterinarian because I love children." -From 'Cause I'm a Blonde

Went to C's, and subsuquently watched far too much Fushigi Yuugi. Had a blast. Love Nuriko, and Hotohori, and even Mika.
Then came home and watched An Ideal Husband with mom. I hadn't seen it since I was about 11 and it rocked even harder than I remembered. I worship Rupert Everet and his masterful handling of Victorian England. Rawr, man. Just rawr...

Cool.

Wow.
music: Footloose- Good Charlotte

So I did work tonight.

No, seriously. I worked. I finished Chapter Six (which sucks and was a bitch to do... sometimes Kari can be a real pain to write), and then-amazingly enough-I did all of Chapter Seven. All of it.

Granted, it was only 4 pages to the former's 5. But still, it went so fast. But that could have something to do with... KYELY!!! ~bounces~

How I've missed my arrogant, insecure, secret-agent boy. And just think: I get to see him one more time, and then not again for nineteen chapters! Whoo!

Sigh.

Oh, and Kay? You are my unadulterated, unmigitated hero.

That is all.

Did you have a happy childhood: Yeah. Of course, by happy I'll assume you mean 'boring'.
Favorite childhood memory: I have this memory from kindergarden of a friend and I standing on the playground equipment at my elementary school, singing a song we'd made up at the top of our lungs. ...not much has changed.
Worst childhood memory: A cousin of mine died when I was ten. Closest I've ever come to seeing a shrink voluntarily. And that visit (a post-divorce favour for mom) counts as second worse. I HATE old men who try to tell you that writing is not a viable career "because you're too smart for it." Bastard. Anyway...
Do you have tanned skin: Nope. Its translucent. You can see the capilleries in my hands.
Do you have freckles: Yup. On my arms and face.
Any siblings: None! HA!
Shy or Outgoing: Extrovert walking.
Funny or serious: Generally funny. If I'm serious then someone's either dead, or has stolen my gum.
Are you happy: Funny enough, yeah. A lot.

*LOVE*

Do you have a crush: Not really. That whole back o' the mind thing's still there, yeah. But nothing REAL right now. It's kind of refreshing.

Think you'll meet your someone: Prolly. Guess we'll see on that, won't we?
Believe in love at first sight: Yes. And shut up, C. I knew I like a certain guy the first time I met him. Of course, the last time I met him I wanted him to get an STD...

Biggest turn-off: Assholes.
Perfect soul mate would be: Someone I can laugh with, who will sing at the top of their lungs for no reason, and who doesn't care too much about what's normal. And likes French film. Yups.
Are you too shy to ask someone out: No. Unfortunately.
Do you believe in loving a celebrity to death: Not to death. They can't make any more movies that way, dudes.

*WHATS WORSE*

Loving and losing someone OR not loving at all: Loving and losing. Often.
Losing your arms OR becoming mute: I can't imagine either. I'd rather be lactose intolerant.
Dying alone OR everyone you love dying: Everyone you love dying. I rather expect to die alone. After a political assasination... ^_^:;; I know, don't joke about that, Andrea.
Throwing up on your date OR your date throwing up on you: Throwing up on them. Unless you are wearing suede.

What mood are you in: Mellow.
What time is it: 8:33 PM.
What are you wearing: Brown long skirt, burgandy T-shirt with Lock, Shock, and Barrel (from The Nightmare Before Xmas) on it, and the words 'Who Needs Charisma when you've got Minions?' on the shoulder. And too much jewelry.

Last thing you ate: Junior Mints at the movie theatre.
What song are you listening to: Pretty Pink Ribbon, by Cake

What are you thinking: 'Is it time for C Idol yet?'
Any Last words?: Always remeber to yawn with your mouth turned AWAY from the small black bugs.

Now, I will go die. Ai...

You are... 'You know... I'd be a lot cuter if I got
rid of this Ugly-Ass Hat.' Yes, yes, you
would. That hat is holding you back,
sweatheart. In fact, the only person in the
movie who actually looked GOOD in a hat was
Captain Jack Sparrow... but then again, he'd
look good in anything. Ditch the hat, people
will like you a lot better without it.

What random made up thought from Pirates of the Caribbean are you?

Yo yo, s'up?
"Yo, so me and mah homie girl
we're gonna get some chains and smoke some dope
then go ride in mah car and do gansta... stuff. Uhm... Chorus!
Gonna skank up mah bitch
(Tobithan the cat)
skank up mah bitch
(Tobithan the cat)
skank up mah bitch..."

-from the #1 hit single 'Skank up Mah Bitch (Tobithan the Cat)', by the Rap Monkies

Ok... so the Rap Monkies are actually Jenna and I. But we have another song called 'My Boyfriend Broke my Arms and Legs and that Ain't Good.'

Yeah, it's an Oz thing.

Have decided to make a T-shirt that says 'Ugly Sweater' on the front. When people ask me about it I will tell them it is an Spanish, new-wave, techno band who like rap-metal. In their native tongue it is pronounced "Ooh-ga-lee Swe-e-ter". Try singing it in between a melody line of 'do do dododo'.

*_*;; Yeah, Tim Hortons iced tea and late night walks make you come up with stupid...ness.

Jenna is currently wearing a napkin taped to her shirt which says 'At least I still know how to cry!' It has a stick figure with glasses. Supposedly he has a swastika burned on his ass. ^_^;;;

Turns out stupidity is genetic.

music: We're Not Gonna Take it- Biff Naked

Finished chapter 5's edit. It's new and imporved, and Cianna seems to swear every seven lines. Sigh.

Will start trying to send things out tomorrow or so, in between trying to find references to put on my application form. Yes, I'm trying to get a job. At Blockbuster.

Sigh, again.

Working on things... ish. (+ an important note... also ish.)
music: Oz (ok, not actual music, but Jenna's watching it behind me...)

"This single bed was always meant for two--not just anyone, it was meant for me and you..."

Ok, so I'm not obsessed with BFS. Not at all. Stop laughing. No, seriously, I'm not... oh hell.

So Mel, Kay, I've almost got my shit together enough to send you some of 7th. Really. I know I'm taking forever about it, but that's not all that unusual, sadly.

So I guess I'll have to send you something--just trying to get five fully edited so I can actually have something of substance accumulated. I'm such a loser. ^_^;;

I don't use Microsoft word programs, (don't own it/hate it with a passion), so when I finally get to send it to you it'll just be in e-mail form. ~shrugs~

Other than that? I'm and ass. Yup.

Finchmeister
So, yes, ok. I went to see American Wedding. But it was funny. Against all odds it was funny. Stilfer has never seemed so cool as he is on the dance floor of that gay bar.

But the real movie stealer came in the last 15 minutes.

Finch: Yes [Stifler's Mom], but as they say, we'll always have Paris.
Stifler's Mom: And the pool table.
Finch: And the car.
Stifler's Mom: And the two room suite I've got upstairs.

I waited the whole movie for them. I heart Finch/Stifler's Mom. They're funny, and cute (yeah yeah...)

And I now own Bowling for Soup's 'Drunk Enough to Dance'. And all I have to say is: "Acoustic cover of Belgium! Woot!"

Things rock on various levels. ~goes off to watch Johnny Depp movies from the pre-eyeliner era~

"But she didn't rape me!"
^(from Lovely and Amazing)
as is: "I like you, I wanna sleep with you again."

First things first ~huggles Kay~. I'm so sorry about your kitty! ~goes to huggle Wellington~ You have my sympathy Miss Cricketed. T_T

On a happier note, my Dad took Jenna and I out for belated birthday steak. Jen seems to really like Cheri (thank good), but she's right. She does say "funky" too much. Ah... aging, ex-Californian hippies.

And I got speakers. A 3-part system and sub-woofer. Now this is loud music.

And my dad's growing a beard. A BEARD! But a goatee kind, so it's not that bad. Really.

Also, I'm now a Saturday woman. My column's moving to the 'Youth' page. According to Leah, I'm getting better exposure, higher circulation, and my photo in colour.

Plus, she said all sorts of embarrassing things about my talent and humour. When people actually quote lines back to me I get red faced. When said people then tell me I'm an example to their paper of how they should be writing (with 'colour' and 'personality') I blush enough to fall over. ^_^;;;

I heat my job. Some days I wonder if it's not worth keeping. Meh, I'll worry about that later.

What else...?

Dad's going to join me in my quest for the ultimate skirt. That is, he's supplying the $$ as a birthday thing. Kay's sending me Velvet Goldmine. ~squeals~ I beat Leon and Yuffie in Kingdom Hearts (finally...), and the first part of the Ursula boss battle. I drew myself an SD self-portrait for my MSN profile.

And Ryan from Canadian Idol rocks my world! I heart geeky, nerdy, U2-singing types. Although Toya's rather hot too. Sheesh, what is it with me and plus sized black women who sing. Fargin' celebrity crushes...
And against all odds, I like Zack. He offered to snog Ben Mulroney, after all. ^_^;;;

Why am I talking about reality TV? Damn yoooou Jenna!

[Edit: If I were a Slayers character, I'd be Xelloss! Who would you be?
Whoo!]

Talking with Kay about something I've been thinking about for a while. That's the downfall about vacations. All your soul searching happens alone.

music: We're Forgiven- The Calling

I am HOME!
And as such there is a small smippet for all of you:

"I'm telling you April," he hissed, trying not to shout and succeeding, amazingly enough. "I looked him in the eyes, and then suddenly there was this little voice in my brain forcing me to kiss him." It was the truth. But of course, no one ever beileves the truth, because that would actually make sense.

"Aww..." April scrunched up her face into a cutesy smile, wrinkling her nose and fluttering her eyelashes at him. A couple of somphmore boys who happened to be walking by fainted dead away. "Our little Davey's got a cruuuush." And he'd always thought she was supposed to be nice.

"I am a HETEROSEXUAL!" he yelled at her. He hadn't meant to yell, but he did. He also got up too fast, and nearly tipped the table over. For the second time that day ever student around stared at him in silent shock, though a few did manage to clap encouragingly...

Ugh... But in a good way. Right.
Why am I so blah right now? Could it be that I had to write a column (377 words)? Or that I just went through an inbox with 59 e-mails? Or that everyone always updates their journals more than usual when I'm away?

Prolly.

But on to more important things:
1. I'm coming home next Tuesday. I should be online around midnight (1:00 where you are, Kay). At least, I'll try.
2. My cousin Jenna's coming back with me (I think). You guys met her a couple summers ago.
3. I have fishnet stockings.
4. THANKS SO MUCH to everyone who sent me a happy birthday wish. C and K, you guys made me laugh. And Kay, I was really really touched. Thanks All.
5. And finally...
I wrote a lemon.

Yes, shut up...

Gonna go be sociable and stuff now (on borrowed puter time). See you on the 5th!

Wow.
Even in MB I still nag at Katelynn to write. Who'da thought?

The Scribbler's been less than hot stuff lately. Writing about slang, and how I can't do effective chronology ever. Having Olanderverse issues, when I stop to think about it (which is why you shouldn't ever think, A).

Note to Self: Investigate Free Webpage space when you get home. I wanna start a webpage for my stupid netherverse story. Yeah the O/F one.

(ripped from the scribbler)
Flourescant Light Special, a story about finding love, facing your past, and getting that perfect cup of coffee. High school was never so stupid...

And time's up, folks.

Still in MB.

Still can't type.
