Pepito!
music: Rage Beat- Bad Luck

By now I'm sure all of you are wondering where I've been since, oh, last Tuesday. Or possibly not. It's hard to say, since I'm not really sure who reads this thing anymore.

Long story short, my grandparents were down for the week and just left this morning. I've been kind of busy hanging out (is that the correct term when those you are socializing with are over 70?) with the Manitoban wonders.

Sadnly enough, in the one week I couldn't spam this constantly about 10 shizbillion things have happened. Luckliy, most of them are really boring, so if I forget something it's no big deal.

Wednesday
Half day, that. Tossed Rappaport (or 'Rap' as Dan is now callign him. Silly Dan.) a copy of my autobiography. Did I mention that I finally finished a rough draft of the monstrosity? I did! Other than that, school was pretty much useless. What a surprise. I'm amazed they even made us come in last week, considering that two of the last three days ended before 12.

Anyway, Rappaport (I suppose I should stop and explain that I'm referring to our band teacher--prefixes are for wimps) took Dan, Katelynn, Nicole, Me and Andrew out for a thankyou lunch, mostly because Dan saved the collective asses of the ninth grade trumpet section by practicing with them. Oh yeah, the rest of us did some menial stuff, too. Tubas suck. That's all I'm sayin'.

Because the fates conspire against me, I got tuck sitting across from (guess...) Andrew. Which meant a lot of awkward eye contact. We were sitting by our teacher, and it's sort of hard to know whether to make eye contact with the man when you're in a casual setting.

Despite that, lunch was actually kinda fun. Nicole aside, I'm freinds (sorta) with everyone who was there. And besides, there was DDR after.

Note: 2nd instance of DDR this week, having already played on Monday with Dan and Rachel

Thursday
Nothing much happened here. I think I crashed and burned on a Bio test. Same old, same old.

Friday
Had fake Christmas at the Norrie + 1 Klassen house. And for the first time ever, someone caved into my demands and got me silk pajamas. ^_^

Oh, and I now own Ryan Malcolm's cd. But I didn't pay for it-I can still tell myself that. Right. The whole thing is kinda cheesey, honestly. And it all kind of sounds like a sappy love letter to someone (wil not crack jokes about Billy Klippert...)

Uhm... I lost my train of thought. Shit. Anyway.

Saturday
Katelynn's birfday (party)! We went bowling. I can't bowl. How do I know this? Because I fell on my butt around 7 times trying to throw the ball. T_T

But there was a glowing orange ball. We named it Pepito. Try yelling "For Pepito!" at the top of your lungs some time. Preferrably in a crowded place.

Then we went and played (you knew it was coming) DDR.

Note: 3rd instance of DDR in one effing week, putting my total around 16 games. O.o

Summary
Food. DDR. Silk pajamas. DDR. "Pepito!" DDR.

...my leg hurts. I think that 180th game of DDR and the 6th fall at the bowling alley may have been a little more than I could handle.

And finally, because no entry is complete without token spam:
I'm going to LotR in 3 hours!! ~dances--but only in a metaphorical sense, since I really hurt~

music: Friends to the End- Reliant K

Congratulate me, I finally filled out my Carleton form. Now I just have to talk to Russil and find out wher to send my application forms to.

And, you know, retype the first page of my King's Autobiography which I found in my desk! You have no idea how happy that made me. *-^______^-* <---this happy.

I feel so much better about my silly little future today. Yeah. Go me.

I don't see what's so bad about forms, K-chan.

In Other News
And I'm listening to Furious Angels far too much. That song is so lovely and morbid.

And I wanna run, like the blood from a wound
to a place you can't see me in.
'Cause love, like a blow to the head has left me stunned
and I'm reeling, yeah I'm reeling
and if you go, furious angels will bring you back to me...

Yeah, good times.

Oh by the way, Kay, do you still have chapter four of my book? Cuz, you know, Kyel. Except he isn't in that part and... yeah. Anyway. Kyel. Or Davron. Davron dipped in chocolate. Er...

If You want to Destroy my Sweater
music: Undone- Weezer

Well, this has been a lousy weekend for productivity. Let's recap:

- Essay status: done, but with slight trepedation on Mum's part (ex: "Should you start your essay with perhaps'?")

- Cum Review status: not done, with roughly 8 questions to do

- Writing status: ...~whimpers~ well, a few things have been started, but nothing concrete

Oh, and let's not forget:

- Bio Homework status: not started, though it is 2 questions, and I do have 80 minutes to do it

- Christmas Shopping status: ~shoots self~, oh right, that's why I hate the holidays

And much as I hate to say this, I don't think having grandparents here is going to help anything. If you se much of me this week, I'll be amazed.

I love my family, I really do. But they always seem to show at the worst possible times.

Oh well, just five more days, A. Five days...

Jesus Christ on a Fucking Tricycle...
music: Furious Angel- Rob Dougan

"December 13th, 2003 -- The chapter system is not to be used as placeholder for non-story content such as author notes. You can add short author notes to the beginning or at the end of stories but never as individual chapters.

The above clarification of existing guidelines is effective immediately for all entries. We recommend all writers to review their entries to and make the appropriate changes when necessary. There will be a 10 day grace period before the site actively enforces the rule."

-From the hallowed halls of Fanfic.net

I think I'm going to go roll my eyes now. This very much applies to me, but do I care? NO! I could really give a shit about that site sometimes.

Anyway, English essay started but horrible. Whoo.

More from Rum and Monkey:

Which Evil Criminal are You?
Yay! I'm a sick tyrant who ruled Chile AND British Prime Ministers like me!

Which Colossal Death Robot Are You?
"Your one minor weakness is that you are entirely dominated by some kid with a remote contol - still, don't let it get you down. You can sink a nuclear submarine with jazz music." ~giggles~

I'm a generally unfuckwitted, liberal, tight as fuck, relatively well adjusted human being!
See how compatible you are with me!
Brought to you by Rum and Monkey
Ok guys, go take this one and let;s all see how horridly compatible we are. Whoo. Rum and Monkey rocks the hardcore, I tell ya.

Which Historical Lunatic Are You?
From the fecund loins of Rum and Monkey.
Now that is a truly funny and informative quiz.

Column done. Homework minimal. Christmas soon. Concert fun. Tie tied. Etc, etc.

Bedtime for Andrea!

The News
music: Big Dumb Rocket- OLP

Started C's Chirstmas novella, and may have promised to do something for Katelynn.

OMFG! Teh rightur iz bak!!!11!

Er.. anyway. Going to Dad's in a few minutes, just thought I'd drop by and tell you all that the practice concert kicked it old school. 6 year-olds know the classic Spiderman theme. Tomorrow night should rock.

And... uhm... Stephen is very sick, so everyone cross your fingers that he'll make concert tomorrow. (I actually drove him home at noon to force him to get rest)

Other than that? I have easy Bio homework and easy math homework and a cum review and and essay due on Monday. I have started the former (barely) but not the latter. Expect to see me doing the essay on Saturday.

Oh yeah, procrastination rocks the hardcore.

I'm thinking that, if I'm not careful, book two could get started before the novella wraps. One thing at a time, A...

Heh.
music: Tonight I'll Take What I can Get- Dashboard Confessional

So I got bored and (instead of doing homework) installed The Sims on my computer.

...my Kyel and Davron sims are in love. And I didn't DO anything! I mean, I didn't rig it or anything. They just started getting 'flirt' options a lot. ~shakes head~

And I only played 2 hours.

Sigh.

The Mall is Evil
music: Postmodern Sleaze- Sneaker Pimps

"He's a regular Oscar Wilde in training wheels." -Stevenson, on his Boss/Prof (My Father's Scar)

It's 5:13, and I'm listeing to... Brit Rock. Since when do I listen to internet radio? Since today, apparently. Man, do the Clash sound British when they sing.

Anyway, today's big moment of fun and sparkleness involved me going to the mall again. Let it be stated now that the mall scares me some days. Who the hell would want a holographic picture of a fish? Who?

Anyway, other than that the only important thing is that for the last two days I have been plaugued with ideas for the second book of 7th. So sooner or later all these current plotbunnies are goign to spill over again and I'll actually write something, since I haven't really since the puter went boom.

I have, however, been reading a lot. I've still got tons of Abarat to finish, but I ended up going to the library yesterday and accidentally snagging one of the best books I have read all year. Period.

It's called My Father's Scar, by Michael Cart.

The book's about 18-19 year old Andy Logan, a guy in his first year of college, whose life, up until this part has been pretty much shit. His dad's drunk and abusive, his mother is weak and his town is full of ignorant assholes.

Most of the story is spent flashbacking on Andy's life. On being the fat, lonely kid with no friends. On his family. On his first crush, another guy, named Evan.

Yeah, ok, so I picked it up because I was very curious about how a book with a gay main character could ever find its way into my hometown library. And then I started reading.

And reading. And got hooked. It's alternately so funny and so sad.

You should all do what Katelynn's doing and go read it. Uh huh.

Hm... it's now 5:45. Says something about how long I take to write these things, ne?

A Love Life Update. (RUN AWAY!)
music: some random Ataris song

I think I'm jealous of someone I've never met.

Interesting.

Anyway, today's going good. Had dinner with Mum at the hospital, didn't totally suck at Jazz rehearsals. We may just pull this concert thing off, considering how good St. Thomas sounds. I just have to actually learn Yardbird Suite now. Sigh.

Spent most of practice learning strange things about Andrew (ie: his leftiness, the scary accuracy of his BB King impression, the even scarier appearence of hat hair ~shudders~) and trying to figure out how both Andre and I ended up with 3rd music for Basic.

Yes, the trombone section is Andrew, Andrea and Andre. Please don't mention it ever again. I don't need the paralells.

It's funny, you know. I'm pretty sure I have a crush on Andrew, and yet I don't know if I actually like him. He's alternately an ass and a bastard and a nifty, funny guy.

I miss Murray.

There. I said it. Having a constant was so much easier. That and I genuinely like the guy as a friend. Meh.

It's rather annoying, as there's no one in our school I'm really interested in getting to know in anything resembling a romantic sense right now. Most of the guys are either stupid or annoying, and the girls are either soulless or my friends, who I can't imagine ever liking that way. Actually, that statement goes for most of the guys I can stand, too.

All in all, it makes things a little boring.

Shit, I just ranted and put myself in total self-pity mode. Right, no more blog stalking for Andrea.

Gonna go listen to School of Rock and giggle. ~pulls up MP3 player~

Much better.

Oh, and C?

Wolverine: Crickey, Mate!

X-men is like drugs... -_-;;;

School, v 2.0

Scarebaby, scarebaby,
Where do you run?
Not out to the morning,
Not out in the sun.
You live in my nightmares,
You hide from the day;
And there little Scarebaby,
You shall stay.

-From
Abarat by Clive Barker

I can now acess this page at school simply by punching in the letter 'p'. I think that may say something about my flagarant misuse of these computers.

I should be studying for a math test I have this afternoon, but first I shall make my reccomendation.

Abarat rocks. Go read it. Clive Barker is god.

[Edited to add: Apparently Barker is normally a horror writer/movie director. Bizarre]
