Hate is a funny word. When you say you hate someone actually it's because you care about him/her. And guess what. Love is the reason for hate. Love and Hate. No one could seperate these two words. Like if you love God and you will hate Satan. And you love someone deeply when he/she hurts you, you will automatically hate him/her. Funny thing is when they apologize or you calm yourself down, you will love him/her even more. Actually this is what God did for us. Everytime we sinned. you thought no one cares about you? You are wrong! God will keep loving us till the end of the world, as God's love is an EVER-LASTING love. It will not end or stop. All we need to do is to turn away from our sins and accept Jesus as our Saviour and the Holy Spirit will do his work in us. Praise the Lord!

Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you
If you're young at heart.
For it's hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind
If you're young at heart.
You can go to extremes with impossible schemes.
You can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams.
And life gets more exciting with each passing day.
And love is either in your heart, or on it's way.
Don't you know that it's worth every treasure on earth
To be young at heart.
For as rich as you are, it's much better by far
To be young at heart.
And if you should survive to 105,
Look at all you'll derive out of being alive!
And here is the best part, you have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart.

compared to the obs camp i had when i was in sec 2 (at 13 yrs 4 mths old), i think this one was so much better! possibly cos this time the watch mixed around more and everyone got a chance to contribute in any way they could. for the camp that i had in sec 2, i was in a group half of which was made up of my classmates and the other half from girls from another class. to be truthfully i can only remember one or two of the girls from the other class cos we just kept to ourselves... so i can't really remember much of it except that i had fun with my classmates.
anyways this time i was the only arts faculty person in my faculty but it wasn't much of a problem even though i only knew one person (and it was mainly by name). there were 15 of us - 9 girls and 6 guys. our watch was called bo seng (they are named after national heroes etc)... referring to local wartie hero lim bo seng of course which was coincidentally the same dorm i stayed in the last time. anyways if you don't want to read a long (and possibly boring) piece about the people, just skip to the next entry...
the instructor! connel - we were his first official watch i think. very funny... especially his line telling us to paddle wrongly cos the fishes would die - as in die of laughing :P the kind of person who really loves the outdoors (that's why he took this job!) kept the guys updated every night with soccer scores haha. in the end we gave him two big dried leaves where we wrote messages on...
the gals! bascially we are a cool, really cool bunch of girls! ;)
blanche/ xiaohong - the other nanyang-gal in the watch. i sorta knew her before this - really nice and she was like very patient when teaching me how to do all those funny knots since i am so slow! (she's now in the outdoor activities club (oac) so she knows all the stuff plus she was in guides in nanyang as well) was my kayak-ing partner on the second day and taught me all the strokes that i forgot so we worked pretty well together...we gave each other a rating of 4/5! yay us! :) told rather good nanyang ghost stories as well... even those of the new campus which i haven't heard before). her third time here at obs
cheryl/ cheryl-lyn - canoeist. she came for the camp despite having a dragon-boat competition the day after camp ended. really funny girl. she caught a flu on the second day though but never faltered. has an endless supply of ghost stories and the scariest ones as well. almost got me with her fingernails stories... thank goodness we didn't fall into her trap by sitting in even closer to her. something really creepy was how she was speaking from her own experience too...how she saw "things" one or two times. has this habit of saying "well done!" all the time lol... so much that we all got influenced and started going "well done" all the time as well. i think when school reopens every other person in rj would be going well done thanks to us lol
chooi mei/ me! - hmmm ok ...what do i say about myself?? got freaked out by ghost stories on the third night so i decided to go watch the guys cook catfish and it was delicious albeit being a little sandy. then the ghost-story gang became smaller and i went back to listen to more stories. by then, jianbang (not too sure about the spelling) had taken over the job of story-telling - telling ri ghost stories but it was really more comical/funny than scary lol. hmmm other than that, i got a lot of mosquito bites on my last night especially on my feet. was kept awake scratching it. got even more tanned but skin's peeling off on my forehead and nose so i loook bad now (but then when do i look good???) haha
Eunice - i was going to say nice (but then it's really an over-used word but my vocab isn't that good so i shall just stick to nice! cos she is! lol she's in fencing if i'm remembering right, she looks like this hongkong actress... if anyone of you watched i have a date with a vampire, i'm referring to the actress who plays ma xiaoling (the one with legs that seem to go on forever and wears short skirts like daphne in scooby doo). she was my buddy climber in rock climbing. meaning we were both connected by this string to each other and i was blindfolded. so we had to climb up the rock wall together and she had to guide me and we made it all the way to the top!!!!!! =)
Janice - found out she was a rgs gymnast on my last day. don't really remember seeing her around before though. anyways, she's now in sailing and if i remember right again she was featured in the papers last month in an article about sailing. was our land expedition leader =) and she has like lots of energy. on our sea expedition she was paddling for the longest time ever but she didn't feel tired at all! ohhh she has this pair of shoes (she calls them booties) for water activities and it's really cool (cos i ain't seen anything like that before!) looked like a kangeroo trying to change under the poncho lol
Jeannie - she's small in size (around my height i guess)...but she's really strong! another one who paddled for the longest time ever and still had energy to go on and on...was kinda leading us too during the land expedition and was my buddy in sharing backpacks - she carried the equipment bag while i carried our personal items like clothes. also shared a bunk with me - i slept on the top. school councillor as well as a rather experienced camper... think i didn't really talk to her though but she's the funny kind of girl like hua-yu/shuhua kinda funny?
Pamela - she looks like the kinda girl who's like really guai (read: goody) but really she suggests all kinds of sabotages all the time! you really wouldn't have expected that from her. tennis player i think. and probably completed our height element (walking across a log, no actually two which were joining in the middle high up) in record time. i was after her and i was talking to connel and then *poof* she was done and coming down already!
Shu En - was sort of our official cook for the last two nights. the rice was really well cooked for outdoor cooking. took care of the food rations as well so we had plenty to eat for every meal. but she eats really little. while we were still at the obs school, i never saw her finish her food even though she asked for less rice and gave away portions to the guys... hmmmm joined me in watching guys cook catfish too cos we were both freaked out by ghost stories. she went to bed after that though so didn't join ghost-story hearing again with me. got sunburnt and it was really

i have to record this down somewhere... lionel (my classmate) told me he saw me this morning at the mrt. apparently he was sitting on the steps. i noticed a group of guys there but i didn't know he was there. and i was like "geez since you saw me, why didn't you call me? so anti-social!" then he told me at that moment he forgot my name (only "at that moment" he stresses)! *slaps hand on forehead* omg! but then this is coming from a guy who says he only remembered his birthday at the age of 14 and still can't remember his address (it is not on our class contact list cos he couldn't remember)... and i thought my memory was bad!

went for sets meeting early this morning (like 9.40am). as usual i was late but they were still waiting for people. didn't really do much - i just went to the market and brought back some crates and did some screwing and drilling. then sat around watching jessica paint (she's reaally good) and started thinking about how the sets work and how my obs watch worked together. somehow i thought sitting around doing nothing wouldn't happen cos we would work together efficiently (which was one of the goals we set out.
anyways after that went to borders to check out some cds. they've got this new system of CD testing. you scan in the barcode then you can listen to the tracks on the cd! only one minute of each track though but it's really cool! then read like a lot of magazines. was actually looking for BLISS (UK) cos there's supposed to be an Orlando Bloom article in it but i think borders doesn't carry it. then wanted to go to heeren cos i wanted to get a new bag but it was raining so heavily so headed to kinokuniya instead to look for the magazine but it wasn't there too so i read more magazines. anyways decided to go home after that. met my sis at lot 1 and had kfc(cheese fries!) for dinner.
went to the pasar malam(local term for night market) after that. nothing much though cos it was quite empty...then on the way home i tricked my sis into thinking i left the change from kfc on the tray lol and she really believed me hahaha you should have seen the expression on her face! :P
and to catch up on the days i didn't blog...went out with esther on saturday to the neopets sale at suntec city. it was much smaller than i expected but the crowd was really huge. i got this small drawstring bag, a pair of faerie queen earrings and usul stickers (not to mention a rare item code which i later redemned for a cybunny bouncy ball). there was a long, and it mean loooooong queue, for free drawings by two neopet artists but we weren't that crazy to queue up cos it was like realllly looong. then helped esther put on her new kougra earrings. they look really nice! =)
then yesterday, sunday, went to suntec again but this time for a rare family outing to shop. rare cos my parents are usually at work, especially my dad whose job requires him to be in indonesia most of the time. anyways i got a new watch - it has stars! =) but the top part came out today (think it's accident prone me at work again :|) mom's going to get it fixed or something. also bought a new t-shirt and my dad got some brown hair dye. basically we just walked around a lot...i looked at like toys and stuff but didn't really get anything. yeah then my sis reminded me that we saw the moffatts performing at suntec like 2, 3 years ago... and i was like huh?? i think only she saw it cos there were so many screaming girls >__<
so since i got home from friday i have been spending my afternoons walking around... shopping must be getting addictive. now if only i had more $$$ to spend...haha

got this from an e-mail after answering some quick questions and tallying the score:
Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.
Chooi Mei:
You are a quick study, and can be self-taught. Your curiosity can get the best of you, but you must learn to concentrate. You work hard to achieve material success through your own efforts. You have a great deal of loyalty to those you love. You have much inner strength. You need to learn flexibility. You are relatively demonstrative in your affections. You enjoy being stroked verbally and physically. You are always involved with projects and things to do. You can be quite inventive and quite curious. You need to learn to give and receive love for love's sake. You have a need to be assured of affection.
Lai:
You are fair-minded sometimes to the point of being opinionated. You have a strong need to be loved and appreciated. You have much enthusiasm with a driving attitude toward achievement in life. You need to learn to give and receive love for love's sake. You have a need to be assured of affection.

You are 80% addicted to Orlando Bloom! You would do just about anything to meet this guy, and who knows, someday you might.
then we had long john silver's! nice yummy food! =) then using the vouchers Esther's mom gave her...we watched E.T for free! a really great movie it is...with some tear-jerking bits as well. & drew barrymore was really cute; in fact she hasn't really changed much me thinks. saw stephanie (my junior) on my way down after the movie but she didn't see me. oh well. oh yes...then we went over to hmv and Esther bought the new A1 cd!! and it came with a lovely sketchbook as well. don't see how she'll ever bear to use it...and it wasn't some small tiny pocketbook...i think it was about A4-sized? anyways later when we were at Suntec City Tower Records, it was selling at like a dollar cheaper! lol i think Esther might never shop at HMV again.
yes, after that we walked all the way down to far east to get famous amos but apparently it is now 7-eleven?? ahh...so we went down to the wisma atria one instead. along the way...we decided that we are either a)going to work in famous amos one day and steal their recipe or b)earn enough money to buy over famous amos and get people to make those delicious cookies for us so we can eat them all day. =)
from there, we walked all the way down to the national library. hmm passed by the orchard police station and she went to report her lost wallet.... and i just realised...was our picure card thingy inside the wallet???
anyways, she went to get a new library card as well so it was quite a bit accomplished. :)
then i don't know how but we started talking about neopets coming to singapore on june 8th! and a neopets AAA gathering! haha and yes we got so excited we decided to walk down to suntec city from the national library to check out the place for possible places to meet. spent about an hour there then we got lost and couldn't figure out which way citylink was. finally we asked a security guard for directions. then a tourist asked us for directions... and then we said to follow us...after that, i think he walked off somewhere by himself. but we felt like we had led him the wrong way so we ran all the way to the other end to tell him how to get to orchard. sigh and it turned out all he wanted to do was wander about and explore the place.
yup...then came home and had satay. :) came online to discuss the gathering thingy but neopets was down!!! of all nights it had to be down this night!!! didn't really do much though cos the net was loading slowly and i was trying to chat to everyone while replying to this class mail.
yes...then after that i started hearing things. freaked myself out a bit. went off at around 3am to sleep.
hmmm would type everything about my new leggy doll but dinner beckons so later~

after that, we went to orchard and on the way there we started talking about various nanyang girls now in 'high places' lol...then she was trying to tell me about this girl who's now in a 'high place' somewhere and she used to be in library but she couldn't remember the name and i came up with all the people i remember in library but we still couldn't figure out who she is. haha well...i checked the library page in the grad mag but i couldn't figure who too.
have to go. will type the rest later

the x-files tonight was just another one of those average episodes where the plot didn't fit in anywhere. gillian anderson is a wonderful actress - love watching her act, can feel so much about how she misses mulder. me misses mulder too. the x-files isn't the x-files without mulder. am suddenly glad that this is the final season so i don't have to see this show get any worse. what happened to chris carter??
long boring rainy afternoon. library books due today but too lazy to go return them. sigh. will do it tomorrow when i go out.
did quite a bit of springcleaning on my outlook express. i realised i haven't deleted mails since january 29th! slowly looked through all the mails, keeping some personal ones and account info stuff. then proceeded to delete everything from jan to march. selected all of them at one go but outlook express hanged! and the same thing happened like 3 times...so i had to resort to deleting like 10 at a time. bleah...then it started working so i started deleting more at one go. cleared the sent items folder as well (which i realised i haven't touched at all this year)...so in all i deleted 3931 messages and that took me like one whole hour! now outlook loads so much faster. :)
visiting lots of blogs & sites now. mostly legolas/orlando related ones (in one way or another). :) here, here, & here, & here's a colourful & fun one.
am offline now. waiting for grandma to finish talking on the phone. got so bored decided to change my window colours. now it's all purple-ish from the liliac scheme! ok i thought my grandma was done then my sis starts using the phone :|

if you don't watch ally mcbeal or gilmore girls, this entry probably won't make much sense.
so glenn and ally do not get together after all. jenny and glenn still love each other. ally still loves larry. sigh maybe all for the best cos glenn and ally so do not make a pair. he's too much of a cute boy for her. next week seems like a terribly sad episode. think i might cry. then i remember i'll not be around to watch it. must remember to ask sis to tape everything and anything so as to miss nothing.
rory and dean look good together. lorelai and christopher look good together. i know what happens later in the season. sad things. don't know why in the world i am typing this.

i had my first official sets meeting today for raffles players today. pretty ok but felt like it wasn't a very close-knit group. didn't really fit in i think but we learnt drilling and sawing... i know... me sawing and drilling is weird!
after that i had to go to clock my enrichment hours by attending this 'time and stress management' workshop. i don't think i really learnt anything but the speaker was quite entertaining with his stories. he said that the more tv you watch, the more stress you're getting. gosh! that means i'm under a lot of stress. :)
went to borders after that to look at books. realised i haven't come here for such a long time! they've changed their layout quite a bit ... wanted to check out new magazines but the magazine section was so packed! then bought 100gm of what has got to be the world's most delicious cookies from famous amos :) walked over to kinokuniya. no issue of dolly lying around...then looked around and finally decided to get a walk to remember. love the smell of new books...can't bear to take it out of the nice kino bag.
came home, had dinner then checked mail but didn't get the e-mail i wanted to receive :( went to bathe then came back online...
and received the highlight of the day from Esther :) her mom gave her a pair of free movie tickets with popcorn and drinks... and she's taking me out! cool! thanks so much esther! and she's bringing my dearest legolas figure with her! (again...handle with care pls!). thanks again :)
now i'm trying to think of people i know who would go watch lotr again with me for $11 or better yet attend the whole catcha.com film festival at $41 for 9 movies.

It's wrong to walk away
Though you think it's over
Knowing there's
So much more to say
Suddenly the moment's gone
And all your dreams
Are upside down
And you just
Want to change the way
The world goes round
Tell me
Have you ever loved
And lost somebody
Wished there was a chance
To say I'm sorry
Can't you see
That's the way
I feel about you and me
Have you ever
Felt your heart
Was breaking?
Looking down the road
You should be taking
I should know
'Cause I loved and
Lost the day
I let you go

i had quite a nice dream last night and i actually woke up remembering most of it! anyways, in the dream i was in school (except school looked really different - like really posh with lifts!). then i was coming out of history class and then i got into the life. and ended up stuck in the lift with this guy, i can't remember what he looks like anymore, but he looked really good i remembered that :P then i can't remember what happened exactly but i know we were walking to the bus stop tomorrow then i came online and he was trying to teach me how to play this dumb swimming game online... haha and i was arguing with him about the stupidity of the game and then!!!!!!!! i was woken up by al's same old brand new you blasting on mtv from the living room. sigh!
been tidying my room for 2 hours before lunch. now it looks really neat so that makes my mom happy but to me it looks quite bad! not like my room at all cos i'm so used to seeing piles of paper on the table now they're all filed neatly into their files. and i managed to break my hole-puncher... don't ask how, i have this amazing thing for breaking stuff.
just got an e-mail from my maths teacher about my maths common test results. got a grade of 'O' at 40%. goodness! no one from my class passed this maths test. 2 Es, 3 Os and 9Fs! (with 2 absent) guess i'll just have to work hard this hols.

it's finally done! i think i almost gave up... had so much trouble uploading the pictures cos aol kept dying on me and coolconnect wasn't working. and spent lots of time deciding on which shades of blue to use and which ones were dark enough etc. sometimes i'm too fussy about these things. :P spent a lot time looking for nice blue backgrounds and then ended making a simple one of my own instead. now maybe a nice blue-ish divider might be nice.
and if you're a regular reader (highly doubtful there are many) i just added a form thingy at the bottom of the page on the left so you can send me mail! discarded idea of guestbook cos i do realise that pple don't sign them much lol. not like many would send me mail through this though. oh well...and if you're new here...you could send me something to say hi! no more excuses for not mailing me! :)
forgot to add that i got hotbar to work on my browser so now i have a nice purple-ish butterfly on my browser. couldn't get it to show in outlook express though :( oh well...now i shall figure out a way to download a thousand miles by vanessa carlton. it's a really nice song with some fantastic piano work me thinks. (at least i believe it's a piano lol)

nothing much happening on this sunday. slept in till noon (yes, i know i am a such pig)...then did the usual stuff like read the papers, watched tv etc. spent most of my day trying to fix a new look for this page but kept discarding ideas. was also distracted by korean tv most of the time. anyways, hopefully it'll be done before i go to bed tonight...just archived the previous entries so hopefully this page won't be pink for much longer! :)
