hehehe I finally did it....I got my helix pierced (upper ear) Its very exciting...it didnt hurt so i may go for more eventually. ;) Yeah so tee pointed out that we go back to school in 5 days and I almost started crying..it was a near thing. Its difficult to be gone for 4 months but oh well I get 4 months here after this semester so its all good. New Years was good...did you know that there is a tree called the Kentucky Coffee Tree so next time you're playing scattegories and get K and need a tree you've got one! I visited NW today and it was so much fun, I got to see my favorite teachers so that was good times! Anyway I'm off g'night y'all

Christmas
Hey Folks...its Christmas and its always a great time. I had christmas with my dad's side today and found out my oldest cousin Jeremy is getting married. That was truly exciting so I'm going to try to fly home for the wedding in November but we will see. As for the haul...I got a speaker system for my computer that my roommate is going to hate...some new movies, slippers, the survivor game, an arrogant worms cd, etc It was a good year. (not that its the presents that matter but its always a nice feature) Anyway, its late, I"m tired and cold and have to get up in the morning. So I will talk to you all sometime I'm sure...I get to see Trin tomorrow (i'm sure she's gotten big since Caleb can walk now!!! that was a shocker) anyway g'night y'all

HOME
Well folks i'm home in stratford and its soooo good. It was quite the trip to get here tho!!!! At 2:30am my bus was somewhere outside of Marathon Ontario when it caught on fire. So that was fun, we spent a few hours at the fire station waiting for a new bus. Good times. Poor tee, I called and left a message that simply said that I would be delayed because my bus was "kinda on fire" so that was good fun. When I finally got to North Bay it was so great...I got to meet Tiffy and Brian and Mike and the Laundry Guy (whose name I still dont know) So that was fun...pulled another all-nighter...then this morning my parents came and we went home and it is good to be here without further incident....Connor made me a cake that is absolutly amazing! Anyway I've gone 2 days with no sleep and I have to clean my room before I can sleep in it so I'll simply say g'night y'all

stupid....very very stupid
well i've finished 3 exams one more to go...they've gone really really well so far, which is nice. However for my old testament class we got 10% for reading the old testament so I spent crazy amounts of time and stayed up till 2am on monday night reading it so I could honestly say I had read all of it....and a guy i know only got as far as "God created Adam" and my teacher told us today that we all get 10% whether we read it or not. I was so angry, I bit my tongue but there were definately angry tears in my eyes....and there may have been some swearing under my breath, but no one noticed that so we're gonna pretend it didnt happen. I was just soooooooooo angry at how unfair it is. And just a couple days ago I got a paper back on a book that only a small handful of us actually read (everyone else read reviews of it on the net) and I got one of the lowest marks that I've seen so far (granted i got 12.5 out of 15 but still) I cant believe how unfair this is!!!!!!!!!! Its this kind of crap that makes me want to just go home and say screw this. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR on the plus side, i'm going to a party tonight and its 25 hours till I get on the bus to come home (well north bay)....I can hardly wait!

New news
so an update on the quest for higher education....i've been loaned the money to stay at school full time so I'm supper excited!!!!!!!!! anyway this is brief cause tonight is the christmas banquest and I have to figure out how my hair is going to work...........amie I still havent met anyone who does hair better than you! Well then...
Well I've had quite the time of it lately. As some of you are aware, I've been a little concerned about finances for next semester (as in I dont have enough)...and this weekend things got to the point where I was faced with having to pack up and go home instead of returning to school next semester. Needless to say I spent most of the weekend in tears and a bit of a wreak. However on sunday the idea came to me that maybe I could do part time studies. So i went off to admssions monday and asked them if I can do part time and stay in res. and I can so I did some number crunching and I have just the amount that I need to stay!!!!! YAY so i get to stay at school next semester. I'm only taking 9 credit hours but hey thats not too bad eh? So yeah I'm increadibly excited about this!!!!! So yeah other stuff....I've got a tv, xbox and halo 2 in my room right now and through the network I can play with the guys while their over in their dorm. Its so much fun!!! I love this game and Grant tells me I'm decent at it. We have head sets so we can talk while we're playing. Its really really fun. Anyway, I have a paper to finish before chapel. Good Times y'all

Well in 13 days I will be leaving to come home and in 15 I will be in stratford. Woot I'm so excited!!! For those of you who dont know the plan or are wondering...I'm busing it to North Bay where I will spend the night with Tee, Brian, Mike, and Tiffy. My parents are driving up and on the 18th of Dec Tee, My parents and I will drive home to Stratford. I am beyond excited!!!! I'm almost done all of my assignments...I have 1 paper to finish revising, 2 minor papers to write and 2 books to finish reading. Then there are just 4 exams and I"m done! This is good. I'm really relaxed about everything right now....not sure if I should be but meh what are you gonna do eh? The Christmas banquet is coming up and almost everyone is like "ooohhhh I need a date!!!!!" There is a small group of us who are choosing to go solo because the whole date thing is really stupid so we've started our own table and all the solos will be sitting together. We did matchmaker and we got them back the other day. My roommate (Laura), her ex/my good friend (Grant), his roommate/also my good friend (Julian) and I have an....interesting situation. k, here's the back ground for those of you who arent aware of the situation...laura still likes grant, he's done with her, I spend a lot of time with him and is in fact closer to him than to her, and julian is just a great friend all around. SOOOOO I got Grant on my list (#5) but not Julian. Laura didnt get either of them on her list. Julian got Laura as #2 and Grant got me as #1 but not laura at all. Ironic isnt it? Now everyone is nervous that Laura is gonna find out that i'm #1 on Grants and she's not even on it. These things are dumb and dont really matter, however we're pretty sure she would be really jealous and it will damage our friendship. We've already fought because of my friendship with Grant and I'd rather not have to move to another room in the new year. Oh well its all good right? I think the break will do us all some good. oh and the really great part is that julian, grant and I are all going as solos while laura is going with another friend and I"m not sure how well thats going to turn out.....arg I dont even like the guy but its really gonna seem like I do, especially to her. Why oh why cant anything be simple????? Oh well I should go do some of that homework. G'night y'all

Prank War Update
Well the prank war is officially underway...last night at 2;15 in the morning there was banging on my window. Then firecrakers or maybe caps were shot off for a good 5 minutes right at my window. At first I had no idea what was going on and then I thought "caps....dollarstore...GRANT" this morning we had a good laugh over it. My roommate had freaked out so that was kind of funny. Unfortunately my RA found out and has a duty to report him for it. I pleaded the 5th but was forced to either tell her or tell the RD who would then have him fined/kicked out so I told her (after someone else had already given his name up). So i bargined her down so that if we stop our war right now she will not tell on him....AND I have been expressly forbidden from pranking outside of our own dorm...which gives him the win no matter what. This really sucks. Oh well, at least i can still prank within the dorm :D

hey! well we got a warning for the prank that we prolly shouldn't try something like that again so I'm pretty happy....however my good friend grant (the one i'm in a prank war with) knows who was involved and will be retaliating with pranks so we're still going down but its all good. The snow came on monday up here, its all white and icy and fun. Today is pink day and I'm thoroughly disgusted....grrrr. Anyway that is my quick update so ya'll didnt think i was dead or something! see ya at christmas!!!!! (23 days)

SHOES!
well folks this could be my last pita entry for a very long time as I am going to be skinned alive for what I did last night....or at the very least I will be working to pay off the massive fines. Basically me and my cohorts stole, broke in, vandalized and generally had a great night. It was open dorm and we went around and stole shoes....I distracted, agent midget man held the bags and agent antisleepinator stole the shoes. We got 43 shoes. We hid them and ourselves in the school in a 2x4 closet until 2am when the security guard locked up and left. Then we took the shoes and tied them to the main stairwell banister :D it went all the way up four flights. then we moved to a bigger closet and slept until someone came and unlocked the school. We were standing outside the closet putting our sleeping bags into backpacks when a lady walked by...everyone else ducked into the closet but i knew there was no help for it so i stayed where i was and she and i said a polit good morning to each other. Then we made good our escape. So far people are taking the joke pretty well but we know that the school will not. The fines could be financially devistating. oh well it was worth it. However we cant take the credit for our handy work until after we are caught so here's hoping that either the fines are small or we dont get caught!

hey y'all its currently 2:30am (my time which is 3:30am your time) and I am wired! my roommate is gone for the night so i dont have to go to bed or leave when she does (which is always way too early) so i'm here on the internet listening to my music without head phones and it is good. So new stuff! In Old Testament class today we got to work in groups and we had a list of 26 people from the OT and we had to write a bit about each person to re-creat the story of the Old Testament thus far and we get 3 bonus marks for doing it so thats exciting! Julian and I got into a debate about poligamy while doing this exercise...not whether it was wrong, but when it became wrong..so that was kinda fun....and then i went hhome and did the assignment that had been due in that class (its not late till 4:30 on the assigned day) and that was good times. Tonight we started working on a prank against the people across the hall....we're filling their bathroom with balloons....the part with the tub and shower is completely filled already and its fun...there were four people just sitting in the bathroom laughing and blowing up balloons! good stuff (no we dont have lives) Anyway we shall continue our work tomorrow while doing other work too...we've decided that since we all have to read the same book and do a report on it for thursday that we will take shifts reading it to the others while they are blowing up balloons :D anyway, i'm actually going to do some reading and the go to bed sometime between 3am and 4am WOOT

politics...its all about the politics
no, i dont mean it in any of the ways you're thinking...I mean the politics of prank wars. You see you first must establish ground rules...make sure you both understand the rules of war. Then you must build up your allies and define the battle field. A time limit must be established. THEN once that is all ready the politics really begin as allies betray their team, sell info, or hinder you. *sigh its a good thing its all in good fun. Hopefully no one gets overly carried away. Another fun aspect is that the guy i like is on the opposing team, but thats quite alright. Its fun. We spend much time on this war, we're currently in the pre-war stage, the war starts next week. I'm looking forward to it, and trust me you will be updated on the latest developments. After the war who knows what will happen. mwa ha ha ha. Dont worry, we occassionally go to school to and do that stuff. But really I'm in bible college and come on, we all know that the point of such places is to A) find a spouse and B) pull pranks. JUST KIDDING....most of us are here to learn and pull pranks....oh my i'm one of the people my parents warned me about!!!!! actually a couple in my small group from FBC told me not to get involved in pranks or with the people who pull them (btw, this couple met while pulling pranks on each other in bible college) and here I am, one of the main (if not the main) female pranker. Oh well. Good times eh? k, enough procrastination, g'night y'all

hahahaha I am now using my pita as a procrastination tool and will not be doing homework for much time this morning hehehe. It's a good thing I'm on schedule with my homework again! I was really far behind but i'm ok now. Its amazing how much you can get done when you lock the door! After a while people take the hint! ah dorm life. So yeah, we had a bit of a scare a few weeks ago and it was looking like there was no going home for Christmas for shelley! My friend julian reminded me of a reminder I'd given him, that God will provide and he did! i'm now taking the bus but its cheaper (if a weee bit slower than flying) so it's all good. Speaking of Christmas, I have big plans for my holiday...SLEEP!!! woot. then i'm going to eat real food that doesnt all look and taste like cardboard. my mouth is watering just thinking about it. So yeah...I've gotten hooked up with a church out here and i'm teaching sunday school and going to college and career small group regularily, I really really love this church/group and i dread having to say goodbye in 3 years time. but as people love to remind me I may meet a guy and stay out here in which case i hafta say goodbye to FBC and that is a terrible thought too. But that's life eh? and if God takes me somewhere else entirely then I may have to say goodbye to both (tho more likely i'll visit both as often as possible) OH and this past weekend was missions encounter and I found a mission that i'm increadibly passionate about and want to go on when i'm done college and I think God is pointing me in that direction so thats exciting. Its a year long (you can go for less but i think i'll be on the year one) trip where you do stage ministry in different areas of the world. So thats pretty exciting. Anyway, my cd just finished so I should probably head back towards my homework. good times y'all

its the middle of Oct but snowing...
Hey folks! I'm finally updating! well for thanksgiving I ended up going to my friend Shannons in Drydan ON, it was fun, we played paintball and all of us have welts, and we tied steer to break them into the halter, that was really fun, i met shannons sister and we talked birds like all weekend (how to train budgies mostly) and i met her friends and we all had good fun. AND I did homework which was good cause now I"M almost caught up to last week....well i'm fully caught up in all classes except Old Testament cause I still have to read a bit to catch up but I AM getting there. So yeah new stuff...my roommate has a boyfriend as of last night :D he's nice. His roommate and I chat a fair bit cause the couple is off in their own little world. ah well its to be expected. Yeah so I really cant think of much else thats new...I really miss you guys a lot and can hardly wait until Christmas to come home. Alas I should do homework, everything is getting crazy! Good times y'all

Livin the Life
Hello everyone! I'm in high spirits today because i'm far enough ahead of my homework that I have a chance to just relax and hang out. Plus I have potential plans for thanksgiving!! Since I cant come home (which is a major source of homesickness) I was going to have to stay here. Some people are offering a hiking trip for the weekend so I might do that and not sit in my room crying! So yeah, thats exciting. So other stuff is going well...there's a lot of stuff to learn. College is actually a lot like I expected it to be, but also not at all like I imagined. My youth class is my best one, its three hours on monday evening but its so interesting that it doesnt feel like three hours!!! Its good. Tonight we're going to a corn maze so thats exciting. Yeah so thats about all thats new with me right now. Have a good day y'all
