A powerful love story on Maalala Mo Kaya!

They say that true love comes but once in a lifetime. But then again, there are some who are luckier than the rest, like Lerma (Jodi Santamaria), for whom love came twice - once in the middle of a war, and the second some 38 years later.

This Thursday, July 28, Maalaala Mo Kaya features a powerful love story about love lost and love found, directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng, written by Arlene Tamayo, and starring Jodi, Cherrie Pie Picache, Perla Bautista, Paolo Contis, Tonton Gutierrez and Jaime Fabregas.

The 1940s. In the middle of a war that devastated the country, innocent country girl Lerma was swept off her feet by an American soldier named John Frieling. Because she was a traditional Filipina girl, it took a lengthy courtship and many promises of love before Lerma agreed to be John’s swwtheart. But when John was relocated, Lerma decided she did not want to be one of the many Filipinas who grieved over the servicemen's lost promises.

What changed Lerma in this crucial moment? And what happens when John walks back into her life decades later? Charo Santos Concio hosts a powerful love story this Thursday, July 28 on ABS-CBN's Maalaala Mo Kaya.
