How does a dream become a reality? What do you give up to make your dream or the dream of someone you love come true? How does a young boy get the persistence, fortitude and determination to make the most of his God-given talent?
This Thursday, July 14, ABS-CBN's Maalaala Mo Kaya takes viewers on the incredible journey of Jerome Sala, a young man from Bohol who became the champion of Search For A Star In A Million. Spirits' Mico Aytona shows a new side of his talent in this episode, as he acts and sings through the role of Jerome. The episode also features Gardo Versoza, Melissa Mendez, Flora Gasser and Stephen Fermo as the young Jerome, with Jerome Sala himself and Search For A Star In A Million finalist Ryan Racal also making cameo appearances.
In this unforgettable episode, directed by Tots Mariscal and written by Maribel Ilag, we follow the story of Jerome Sala from his childhood, which even included an encounter with members of the NPA as Jerome and his father (Gardo Versoza) were on their way to a singing contest.
In between that encounter and his eventual triumph in Search For A Star In A Million, there were many things that got in the way of Jerome's success. The heaviest burden for Jerome is the fact that it was his initially father's dream, and not the young boy's, for Jerome to become a singing star.
How did father and son keep the dream alive during Jerome's childhood? How did that determination change their lives once Jerome entered his teens? And how did Jerome and his father make their peace with each other as Jerome's career quickly entered the big leagues when he was picked for Search For A Star In A Million?

ABS-CBN spices up Kapamilya afternoon viewing for mothers and children with a new Mexican telenovela, “Little Amy” set to premiere this Monday, July 11 at 4:30 in the afternoon. “Little Amy” tells a tale of fun, adventure and hope everyday in the world of a lively little girl named Amy with her blue schoolbag tagging along with her.
The new Mexican telenovela stars remarkable child actress Danna Paola as Amy, a beautiful eight-year-old girl living in a boat with her father, Matias. Amy is often mistaken as an audacious tomboy because she dresses like a sailor and hides her beautiful locks of hair under an old cap, also because she wants to become a captain like Matias someday.
Amy spreads a genuine kind of happiness to the people around her.
