Yay !!!!!!! I now have Noir up through episode 11. Ok brief moment of happiness over. Time to go to class now. I shall rant about more later. Thursday, November 15, 2001
Hee hee, I am 95% Un-telligent Apparently that's way above the average of 60% for normal people. I think I should feel special, but I'm not sure:
"The subject shows a very high level of intelligence, and her sense of observation is one of her best qualities. Considering this, she shows a lot of potential, but that's only part of the equation.
"Also, as much as we hate violence, an occasional mauling is one way to solve day-to-day problems like unpleasant coworkers or pesky door-to-door salesmen; she just isn't tough enough, sir, and she avoids any solution that involves violence.
"The subject is brave, however, and shows real strength in that department.Courageousness is a large part of un-telligence.
"In addition, the subject exhibits brave tendencies, and that does a lotfor her score.
"Finally, the subject displayed a poor (and a little bit boring) sense of humor, a down and dirty sense of morality, and a barbaric self-confidence. The balance of these three traits is important; high levels of confidence, medium levels of morality, and a good level of humor make for the strongest individuals."
Final Score: 95% Un-telligent
Not a whole lot else going on. I finally have episodes 1-5 of Noir with good subtitles. (Hence the reason I only asked you to bring the latter half of them. I'm currently in the process of dling them and buring them to cd.
Eventually I'll get around to reading blogs, I just don't have time right now, this is just a quick blog before class. Although it's sad cuz I won't be able to go to anime tonight ;_; Baka Architorture. Wednesday, November 14, 2001
Angel Sanctuary
Yeah I know it's kinda long, but bear with it and get what you can. Just make sure they are all subtitled, if anything I have listed here is dub only don't get it. Go for Noir, Inuyasha, and Utena first, then secondary go for El Hazard, Excel Saga, and Maho Tsuki Tai. After that get what you can. Thanks so much. Thursday, November 8, 2001
Apparently Hong Kong is the place to be to study architecture. They have so many more spiffy tools for the students to use and the student/teacher ratio is 1/10. That's pretty darn good. The classes are all tought in English too, which helps. Hong Kong also has an escalator that goes from the top of the hill (it's a big hill) the city is on to the bottom. It's a mile long and at 10pm it switches from traveling up the hill to traveling down. It's even covered for rain protection. Dang it, I want an escalator or moving sidewalk traveling from one side of the city I'm in to the other. That would be cool. I'd go into some more spiffy stuff I learned, but it's all architecture related and you probably wouldn't care unless you were an architecture student or really, really into architecture. So I'll spare you the rest of my excitement. Thursday, November 8, 2001
Ok, so my friend asked me to help her find the end of a story line for an RPG (video game type) her and her friends are working on and so I thought I would share what I came up with based on what she told me.
A long time ago a kingdom was destroyed by a group of Necromancers who were bent on destruction. One of the Necromancers (he'll be the good guy) survived the battle and has just been wandering around the earth looking for graveyards to create party members for himself. (He's a tad lonly). Meanwhile an Inventor (he'll be the bad guy) is currently working as a rogue for the local god of the planet. In actuality he's just using the god as a way to obtain the power he needs to achieve his goal, to create a floating continent. He's an inventor of sorts who plays a lot of RPGs and reads fantasy books and so he wants to actually achieve his childhood fantasy. So he travels the world collecting things and destroying stuff in the process (he'll be damned if someone is going to get in his way of getting something. He's was spoiled as a child). Once he has everything he needs from the earthly people, he'll kill the god and use the god's stuff to achieve his goal. The two of them but heads when the Inventor finally starts experimenting with his contraptions and begins to cut sections out of the planet (regardless of the people living on them) and tryes to make them float. But they all crash and burn and kill everyone on them and where they landed. The Necromancer is upset about this becuase the Inventor is destroying quality skeletons that he could use as companions. So the Necromancer gets pissed about the loss of quality dead people and decideds to stop the Inventor. He chases the Inventor around the world (the inventor is in an airship that once belonged to his god) and tries to aquire an airship of his own to use to reach the Inventor. The Inventor realizes that a Necromancer is following him and thinking that he wants to kill and control him in the afterlife, he uses the towns that may possibly be helpful for the Necromancer for his experiments. This pisses off the Necromancer even more because all he gets are scraps and pieces of things he needs. Eventually he gets what he needs and resurects a mechanic to build him an airship. Airship completed the Necromancer flys up to the Inventor and tells him to knock it off. The Inventor says no because he's almost got the right combination to create a floating continent and so the Necromancer fights him.
The ending on this will depend, I think I would make it an RPG where you could play either the Necromancer and go around trying to create people to help you and stop the Inventor from inadvertently destroying all the dead bodies. Or you could play as the Inventor who's trying to creat floating continents while keeping the Necromancer away. If you win as the Necromancer then he creates party members and lives hapily in the company of dead peopel (and the world is saved too I guess). If you win as the Inventor then he successfully creates a floating continent and soon everyone wants to move up to it and he makes a lot of money and becomes famous (despite the half destroyed world).
So there you have it, interesting ne? Well I though so anyways. It's definately not your standard RPG, especially since you would only have a main character. But oh well, it would be fun, and you could play as the bad guy (that could be fun). I suppose you could add in more characters. It would be easy for the Necromancer, a tad more difficult for the Inventor, but still doable.
I don't know, I may acually turn it into a story if it doesn't end up as an RPG. It would be an interesting and fun story to write. I don't know, we'll see what happens. Tuesday, November 6, 2001 Tuesday, November 6, 2001

Ok so for the past 5 days I've been downloading a 400+ MB file from Korea at an average of 0.5k a second. Rather slow ne? I'm currently at 65% though, quite an accomplishment for this stupid file, grrrrr. At least in another 5 days I'll have the stupid thing.
Other than that not a whole lot exciting going on. Halloween consisted of watching one really bad movie and one really good and tweaky move with friends (Evil Dead and Seven respectively). There was lots of pizza, and snacks, and comments to go around. Then we realized that we still had class in the morning and had to drag ourselves out of there.
*sigh* I have arch homework I really need to get done tomorrow, as well as Japanese. I grow really tired of arch homework, I think I majorly burned myself out last year and over summer. I have no motivation to do anything and the social life isn't helping things any. -_-;;; I'll just have to grin and bear it and do what I can.
--> It's a Neopets halloween layout. oO!! veeeera interesting, especially since Neopets is oh so very addicting.
Where on earth did you get the FFX script? And can I get it too?
Where do you find some of this stuff? That is a very odd website.
Ok today I discovered that Sam has very interesting tast in music. I mean, come on, where else are you going to find someone who will make you listen to a song called "Poisioning Pigeons in the Park"? or "The Masochism Tango" both by Tom Lehrer. Wednesday, October 31, 2001 Monday, October 29, 2001
Hee hee, I wore my spiffy new hat today in studio. It's hat with cat ears on it. Alex made it for me ^_^ and I very much like it. Thanks Alex. Everyone in studio thinks it's a great hat. I'll have to wear it to studio more often.
I have been so out of it this past week. I haven't done everything I should have done and I haven't read any blogs. Too much social life. I don't normally have a social life and when I do it normally doesn't take up this much time. Oh well, not much I can do about it right now. At least we had fun this weekend. Sam's Imotou came up for the weekend and so we had fun hanging around and adventuring and watching movies. She also got to experience the evilness of Chris, Sam's boyfriend who has a tendency to be . . . um . . . well . . . mischievious. He's very much a cat (including the sleeping part, much to Sam's dismay). At least he stayed awake long enough for us to go adventuring.
Other than that we saw the movie Spriggen, not as much blood as I was hoping for, but oh well. It was an interesting movie at least. I'm not quite sure if I would rate it as good or bad, but it was definately interesting.
I managed to get no homework done over the weekend but fortunately I didn't really have any (except arch which I did in the hour before studio that I had). It all worked out cuz I have more than some people. And fortunately for me the webpage stuff that I forgot about until I woke up this morning wasn't all that time consuming or hard to do. The silly people in other studios who use Adobe GoLive or some other webpage editor take a lot longer to put things up because they have to load the program, open the pages, put the stuff on them and then finally get around to uploading it to the web. I just open up notepad, type in a few things of html, upload it, and I'm done. Really easy, really fast. I managed to creat and post 7 different pages for my studio website in about 15 minutes. It would have taken at least a half hour for anyone else. (Yay for knowledge of html).
Well that takes care of the excitement for my life. I'll look through and respond to blogs later seeing as how I'm in stuio right now and technically I'm supposed to be working. I'd much rather blog though, I'll work on my design later. I want to talk to a few more people first. We're designing a rock climbing gym in studio so I want to talk to a few rock climbers and get their opinions on what makes a good indoor rock climbing gym. So far the major concencious is big bouldering cave/area, some lead climbing, a chimney (yes Sam I'm putting that in, just for you), possibly crack climbing. If anyone out there has any ideas they would like to share with me on what makes a good climbing gym be my guest and pleas email me or something. Any and all ideas would be helpful and appriciated. Ok well yesterday was a rather amusing day in my Spacial Comp. class. It's a nice big lecture hall and one of the two proffessors teaching it likes to wear a wireless mic so that the people in the back can hear him. Well we had a test at the begining of class and he had the mic on (supposidly turned off) when he left to take care of some business during the test. Well the next thing we know we can hear sounds comming from the speaker and we're all thinking "What the?" Suddenly we here bathroom noises and suddenly the entire lecture hall (of over 100 people) bursts out into fits of laughter. The teacher was even more confused when we were all still giggling at the sight of him when he walked back in. After the test was over someone finally clued him in on what we were all laughing about. We felt sorry for the poor guy but it was just too funny. |
Non-spastic mood of the moment = people are crazy enough to come here
