You know, I think I've decided that it's just more interesting to give random titles to my LJ posts. Like the "Behold the Power of Cheese" one. That was so much more interesting than using normal titles, mostly because it didn't have anything to do with the post. I should try to do that more often.

And yes I know I just wrote an entry and I could just edit it to add this. But this way I get to do another strange title that has nothing to do with anything. Go me.

*squeal of glee* Dell has finally finished building my computer and is now testing it. After that they just need to box and ship it. *does happy dance*

(and yes I did actually squeal, at work none-the-less, just ask Emily, she was there).

If love can kill people, surely, hatred can save them.

Yeah I finally finished watching Noir. Good series. It's nice to know what happens beyond the 7th episode now since it's all confusing and stuff until a little over half way through the series where it starts to explain things. I'm glad I've finally finished it. Now I don't have any anime series left that I've only half watched. Well ok, I lied, there are a few, but those are ones I'm not as interested in. So I really should say that I've finished the series that I've wanted to finish.

Had our first Ultimate game today/yesterday. Good game, we won too at the very end. Paul came down with a spectacular catch for the winning point. It was awesome. I am happy, and tired. Tired and happy. Helped Joseph plant 12 fruit trees on Saturday. So yeah I'm kinda drained right now since planting the trees took longer than I expected and then I ran a bunch today. But it was all good.

Other than that it's been a really busy week. Monday was D&D, Tuesday was Star Wars, Wednesday I actually got off, Thursday I helped Eric with his Star Wars stuff, Friday was movie night, Saturday was tree planting day, and Sunday was Ultimate. Yeah, busy week. And next week won't be much better. D&D on Monday again, Star Wars on Tuesday again, Wednesday is West Wing (hopefully), and Thursday or Friday I may be doing something. I need to stop doing shit, this is wearing me out. Although if I didn't have homework it wouldn't be so bad.

Which reminds me, for anyone in the Eugene area who reads my blog, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back is playing on Tuesday night at 8pm in 180 PLC on the U of O campus. You should come, it'll be Star Wars on a big screen.

Ok one last thing before I go, yoinked from Tsua:

And thus the war began.

OK so I had an interesting revalation tonight. I've discovered that not one, but two different guys are interested in me. Both from the Star Wars club I might add. Originally when I found out that someone in the club liked me I guessed on a person and discovered I was right. However I've just found out that I was, infact, not correct in guessing the correct beau that wanted my attention. This confuses me greatly. For starters I'm not used to having this kind of problem. Second the problem is escalated by the fact that I am moving to LA in 3 or 4 months. However both have professed to me that they would move down there eventually if things moved in that direction. So I don't know what to do. I've been on 2 "dates," if you can call them that (but we will for arguments sake), with contestant #1, advantage contestant 1. However only contestant #2 know's that said war now exists, advantage contestant 2. Contestant 1 I've just discovered has an obsession with Natalie Portman, to me any obsession with a person is bad (and I know from personal experience), advantage contestant #2. However contestant #2 has just finished going through a divorce, advantage contestant #1. (And I know some of you out there know who I'm talking about, say anything to anyone and I will kill you).

So there it is. The Battle of the Boys all laid out, or at least part of it anyways. But the thing is after my last catastrophy with dating I'm kinda afraid to start again. I don't want to start dating anyone simply because I'm lonly cuz I know what that can lead to (and I'm not talking about the brief fling I had during November and December of last year). Ah I love how life likes to complicate itself right as it's all ready complicating itself enough. First I gotta get moving plans done and notify the school that I'm leaving and now I gotta deal with this. GHAAAA!

Yay my order for my laptop went through. So I will be getting a nice, new, $3,000 laptop. Top of the line baby. The sucky thing is that currently the scheduled delivery date for it is the 29th of April. ;_; However they haven't even started on it yet so that time frame may change once they start building it. *crosses fingers*

And for those of you who don't read my live journal the subject of this post is "Behold the Power of Cheese." Why? Why not? While I was trying to think of a good subject line taht poped into my head so I went with it.

Wow,I feel so disoriented it's not even funny. Ok so I just got back from not-so-sunny California. I think I brought the clouds down with me because they followed me all the way to LA, bastards. Anyways was an interesting trip. Saturday arrived in Stockton and went to hang out with my gaming group. Watched The Gamers, that was funny. Need to show it to people here. I'd explain it, but it's much better to just watch it. Sunday went to Merced to see my grandparents and be tech support for my Grandma. Wasn't that just fun -_-

Monday we headed for Anaheim to see my future school, Westwood College of Technology. All I can say is wow. This is going to be a HUGE change for me. The school contains all of 700 students. It consisted of the second floor of a building it shared with several businesses. I couldn't believe it. However it looked like almost every single classroom was a computer lab, so it's definately hands on. No more large lecture crap for me, the class size is 25 students max. Usually they are around 15. That will be nice. And housing won't be so bad. Apparently they house their students in apartment. Basically it's a two bedroom apartment with two students to a room. Not too bad considering what the U of O houses its students in. All in all it should be fun.

So wednesday we went to Disneyland. I mean hey, come on, it's all of 5 blocks away from the campus, how can you pass that up? The only sad thing was that Space Mountain and Indiana Jones were both closed. Space Mountain apparently is getting a major revamp and won't be opening up again until next year. ;_; I don't know why Indy was closed, but oh well, I'll have plenty of time to go to Disneyland later.

Today I finally made it back. It's hard being without internet for a week. So hard in fact that I'm having difficulty typing. Or maybe that's just because my room is frozen. Anyways really out of sorts right now, hopefully after I relax a bit and get myself back together I'll reaclamate to my surroundings.

Ah there are some pretty sneaky people in the world. I just got an email from "ebay" saying that someone possibly hijacked my account and they needed to verify my identity. So I click on the link and they want my name and log in info and such. But then they start asking about bank information and credit card information. Now this makes me suspicious because ebay doesn't handle transactions so they wouldn't have my credit card info anyways because I don't sell things. But I think hey, maybe they need it for something. The page itself looks pretty normal, and they have the standard links to security info and whatnot. Then I get to the bottom.... it asks for my social security number. Now my first thought was "hell no, I'd rather they suspend my account." Fortunately this was a good thought to have as I went to ebays main site and read up about email spoofs. Now I know that there are no places online that ask for your social for anything. If they're gonna verify you they're gonna do it via credit card info or bank confirmation or something like that, they aren't going to ask you for your social. They also aren't going to ask you for your pin number for your Debit card (which this also did). So I contacted ebay and forwarded the email to them and hopefully they'll catch the bastards before they do that to someone not as wary as me.

Ok so I keep remebering someone telling me about a mech anime that sounded damn funny, but I don't remember the name of it only the description they gave me. And I don't remember who it was who told me about it so I can't ask them either. So the idea is this, on Earth in the future after some war is over there this one remaining mech left that sits in a museum. There are these interns or secretaries or some other administrative job people who have the basic skills to move the mech around for demonstrations and whatnot. I think it takes 3 of them to run it. So eventually some aliens or something come back to Earth to destroy it or whatever and they have to send the mech out to kill the aliens. The problem is that only these three administrative people know how to run the mech, so they have to be sent out. Needless to say they get their ass's handed to them and Japan goes broke repairing the Mech because these people don't know how to fight. Then the aliens come back, and they have to go out again and this time do slightly better. And Japan goes broke again. And yeah that's all of the description I remember. Anyone out there know what this series is?

Wow it's been a busy weekend for me. Friday night went out with a guy (kinda). Saturday skied, sunday ultimate, today homework. Skiing was fun, except for the icy patch, which I did indeed slip and fall on. The first fall was the icy patch, the second was the slush. The funny thing is the first time I fell I landed in a very strange postion and so when Joseph got closer to my location, he figured it wasn't possible for someone to fall like that and just skied right on by me. Fortunately for me there were a couple of snowborders and a skier who asked me if I was ok since somebody didn't stop. Hee hee I'm just messin' with ya Joseph.

So following the skiing fun we played ultimate. That was fun too except for the ski injuries that decided to give me problems. Fortunately for me it's all good now. All I have left is the rather nasty looking bruise from the ice I fell on.

In other bits of good news, on saturday I received an acceptance letter from Westwood (yay!) So at the end of this school year I shall be leaving Eugene for a warmer climate. Actually it's so warm it's a desert, but lets not think about that shall we? Granted I'm not fond of the LA area, but when a Game Art and Design program is offered down there, I'd go in a heartbeat. Well ok so I practically am considering this whole thing came about less than a month ago, I think. Actually I don't remember when it started, but it was sometime late this term. Anyways the point is I'm moving far, far away from here. Luckily the airport won't be that far off so I can come and visit without too much trouble. It'll be cheaper and faster to fly up here than to drive back. I've already made promises to people that I would come back and visit and that is what I shall do.

This article contains both good news and bad news. The good news is that Robert Jordan is planning on finishing The Wheel of Time in two more book and is planning on writing two aditional sequals (I have the first, haven't read it yet, heard it's good). The bad news is they want to make movies. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Unless these movies are of the same calibur as Lord of the Rings I think it's atrocious. Although on the up side they can cut out all of the unimportant crap that startes happening in the later books that Jordan had to put it because his publishing company wanted to make more money off of him.

So yeah here I am sitting at work bored when I decided to take up reading the Star Wars Technical Commentaries again. It's been quite a few years and as such there is a lot there I haven't read yet or just don't remember. So I was browsing through the list of topics when I came across one titled Endor Holocaust. Needless to say my intrigue was peaked. So I read through it all and have come to realize that it is infact true. The ecosystem on Endor was completely destroyed thanks to the Rebels. Now this is not to say that the Rebels are evil by any means, Endor was a casualty of war. The Rebels basically destroyed one planet to save millions. After thinking about it I realized that there really isn't a whole lot in all of the Star Wars literature that mentions the fate of Endor. Most of it mentions Ewoks, which while it's widely believed that they went extinct on the planet this is not true. Several Ewoks were taken off planet before the Empire came to Endor and it is quite possible that the Rebels removed several of them from the planet before Endor became a wasteland. There is one book though (which I haven't read) where Wedge is visiting a museum and it makes mention of the extinction of Ewoks after the destruction of the second Death Star. There is only one book that I know of and that was mentioned where someone actually visited Endor some years after the second Death Stars destruction. While the descriptions he gives of the planet would normally be assumed to be refering to live flora and fauna, this is not necessarily the case. He makes note of the trees but fails to mention if they are alive or not. He is also visiting a Dark Side "bubble" I guess you could call it (the location where Vaders body was burned) and those have been proven to cause hallucinations (Dark Side Cave on Dagobah). So in short, 99% of the Ewoks are extinct and Endor is a wasteland. Tis sad, but true.

Ah yes nothing screams "Geek" more than spending an hour reading/researching about a non-existant planet that was destroyed by fallout from a non-esistant space station.

Ah yes, after 2 days of nice sunny weather and temperature in the 70's Eugene has returned to it's miserable grey self. Just when I was starting to think that the nice weather was comming back. Oh well, then again it's probably a good thing since some of us are planning on skiing and the cold weather is better for that.

Note: the beginning of this next paragraph refers to my LJ

And for those of you who are wondering yes that is a picture of me modified to look like a member of the Chiss. I think I did a decent job with it. For those of you who don't know about Grand Admiral Thrawn (my namesake) you can check out a brief bio on him here. I also used his name for my computer, so my computer is named Grand Admiral Thrawn too. I think it fits since my computer is Evil with a capital E. But ah, I love him so, he serves me well. I hope to someday get a companion for him in the form of a laptop. I was thinking of possibly naming the laptop Admiral Palleon (he was Thrawns trusted second in commmand) but I'm not all that fond of the name. I was also thinking Exar Kun, the true creator of the double bladed lightsaber (he's from a few thousand years before ANH I believe, so technically the double bladed lightsabers shouldn't exist in KOTOR, but oh well, it's just a game so I don't count it in the Star Wars history). Then again I don't know if I want to use that name either. I need some other choices for good imperial names. I'd try to think of some rebel ones, but computers are evil so it seems wrong to name it after something that's supposed to be good. Oh well, it'll be months before I get a laptop anyways so I have time to think about it. Lol maybe I should just name it TK-421, that would be sadly appropriate.

Hmm.... I should probably get back to work now, seeing as how that's where I am. Oh, wait, there's nothing going on, so I guess what I mean by "get back to work" is "get back to doing nothing." And crap for some reason I now have the incredible urge to sneeze, but it won't come out. GAH! I hate that.

Ok so yeah I gave in and got a Live Journal. However it is not replacing this one, it is simply there so that all you other LJ junkies out there can easily link to me and not have to bother with the excruciating task of clicking on a separate link or even *gasp* typing in the URL itself. So whenever I post, whatever I post, I will be posting to both. The LJ is simply a suppliment to this pita. So fear not those of you who have remained faithful to whatever other blogging system you are using, my pita shall remain here for all to see. And for you conformists (of which I am sad to say I am one of) my LJ will be available for you to view with ease.
