Well, my latest round of ebay auctions was a complete bust. Damn. Sad to say it, but I think ebay is becoming less and less of a viable income stream for the serious costumer. These days when you type the word "cosplay" into the ebay search bar, all you find are Naruto headbands and about a million cheap knockoff costumes from Hong Kong (made in some sweatshop, I'm sure.) There seems to be fewer and fewer quality handmade items available, and fewer people bidding on them. (I suspect the time of year has a lot to do with lagging bidder interest, but even so, this turn of events does not bode well for yours truly. The days when I was able to pull in over half my monthly income from auction commissions are long over, I'm afraid.) Sigh.

I managed, last month, to score myself some more webspace and bandwidth from the Server Overlords, so I could finally give my cosplay site a new design and layout, (which now includes this lovely, picture-intensive guide to sculpting and casting. Enjoy.)

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. Things have been rather hectic for me. (My cats caught colds, my muffler still needs to be replaced and I'm trying to squeeze whatever enjoyment/ outdoor working time I can out of what remains of this year's unseasonably nice weather.) I was also busy getting stuff ready for a a new round of ebay auctions which I hope will raise enough money to cover the cost of kitty's latest vet bill. (Or at least pay for a nice sandwich. I've had so much Spaghettios during the past month that my body is now at least 60 percent pasta. Cheap, thin-tomato-sauce-y dollar-a-can pasta.)

What did I do for Halloween this year? Well, I worked on my ongoing costume projects, and on a new design for my cosplay webpage which you may have noticed already. That was about it. I didn't even have time for my obligatory "sit in the dark watching scary movies and pretending I'm not home so the trick-or-treaters will pass me by" movie marathon this year. A couple days ago, though, while searching for scary stuff that I could watch/do to make up for this year's Non-Halloween, I discovered 99 rooms.com, a moody Flash website which is sort of "Silent Hill" meets Saw meets the Metropolitian Museum of Art. It's not really a game, it's more of a really creepy tour. (So creepy, in fact, that I haven't made it past Room 30. I tried to get my brother Bobby to watch it with me to lessen the scare factor, but he didn't want to because he's a jerk and because he feels that, unless a Flash site has bikini-wearing ninja zombies driving exploding cars that shoot flaming swords and solid gold bananas at you, it's not worth visiting. Tool.)

If you visit and like 99 rooms.com, here's another site you might like. (Not as sinister, but still, kind of creepy...)
