My sore throat is back with a vengeance and now my mother happens to be sick, leading me to believe that our small, cramped house is rapidly becoming a Foul Den of Contagion. It's probably a good thing, then that I'm leaving tomorrow to travel to my new digs in North Carolina (although the thought of trekking across an entire country with a virus raping and pillaging my immune system every mile of the way is cause for at least a little trepidation.) Did I mention it's my birthday today? With all the bustle that's been unfolding around here lately, the fact that I'll be celebrating my first birthday in four years has kind of gotten lost in the shuffle. (How old am I, you ask? 8 years old. My birthday comes every four years so that would make me...well.... I'll leave you to work out the math. Suffice it to say I am a LOT older than I wanted to be at this particular chapter and phase of my life.)
I have a present for everybody (Yes. I know this is the day I'M supposed to get presents, but all I've gotten so far is a case of motor oil from my Dad and if this is any indication, I don't expect things overall will pan out too well for me on the Present Front. I AM being treated to a couple of nice dinners at actual honest-to-god-restaurants where they require you to sit down and wait for your food after you order it, so that's something to look forward to at least.) So anyway, here's my present for y'all today: My brand-spankin' new and for the most part finished Disgaea Thumbnail Theater. I'm sure the 3 percent of you who've actually heard of this particular game (and the .05 percent of you who've actually gone on to play it all the way through,) will appreciate the effort I've put into this feature. (Whereas the rest of you..well... there are a lot WORSE things I could've given you...like a virus which turns the back of your throat into a patchwork quilt or...a case of motor oil. (Actually, you'd probably get a lot more use out of the motor oil than you would out of any of the demented webfeatures my brain is currently coughing up.) Anyway, I guess all I'm trying to say is, be satisfied with what you got, because it's all you'll be getting from me for awhile.
BTW, despite my move, my e-mail address will remain the same so if you want to write to me to...oh...I dunno....wish me a Happy Birthday or something, you'll still be able to do so without TOO much trouble.
