I'm baaaack! And no, I don't know why this sentence links to itself...
Decided to give my blog a facelift, using a template which allowed me to post more site and personal information. (I was so sick of having to cram my thoughts and musings into a thin, narrow column, and tiled artwork, no matter how pretty, always looks sloppy.)
Anyway...
I've been in a work cocoon the last few days. I'm currently trying to earn enough money so I can (a) afford an apartment and (b) buy a loft bed and some storage shelves so when I finally move into said apartment, I'll have enough space to do everything I want to do, business and leisure-wise. (Said space is now in short supply for yours truly. It's hard to believe that in the room where I currently live - which is about the size of a dumpster, although not nearly as clean --that I find myself perpetually losing things, but somehow I do. I put something down, turn my head and VOOM! It's vanished. (The thing, not my head.) Lost behind the bed, or in the large, loosely-organized stacks of CRAP which take up every square centimeter of free space. I'll be so glad when I can finally get organized again... To this purpose, I went shopping at IKEA tonight, which is a store which sells funky, reasonably-priced furniture with odd-sounding Swedish names like GURT and FJORKSGAL. They've got some neat stuff there. Shelves and big loopy lamps and beds which look like they were designed by Mondrian. All the stuff I would've bought for my apartment had IKEA been in this area at that time.
No snow in the forecast. (I've only seen it snow once this season.) This winter thus far, has been a lot like winter I experienced this year down in North Carolina (minus the Killer Pines swaying in the breeze and raining spiky balls of DOOM upon my head. Damn those Killer Pines and their spiky balls of DOOM. Damn them......)
