Anime Detour really needs to work out whatever problems are keeping them from offering an online/paypal registration option. (Either that, or they're going to have to remember to send their rate hike notice a little earlier than, oh, the day before the rate hike takes place. Especially if that day happens to fall on a Saturday, --a day when-- around here, at least-- most post offices are closed by 10am. ) Of course, I could just pay more attention to the part of my brain that's supposed to keep track of important due dates and the mailing out of important checks and stuff like that, but that would take effort, and effort is so... 20th century...

Oh well. Happy New Year everybody! Hope it's a good one...

I would just like to take this opportunity to point out that this person is not me. (I would also like to point out that it seems a bit presumptuous, --if not pretentious-- to write an exhaustive Wikipedia entry about yourself and your interests unless you're absolutely sure that there are people in this world who give a rat's ass about who you are and what you do. For 99 percent of us, the answer would be a resounding "No.") I wonder, can one person sue another over the exclusive use of an online username? I mean, I've been Amethyst Angel since mid-2000, while this person --according to their earliest Xanga entires has only been using the moniker since 2004. Now I don't believe this person deliberately stole my name, mind you. (And quite frankly, I'd have to confess, I don't much like the username "Amethyst Angel." It sounds too much like something an angst-ridden, unicorn-loving 9th grader would come up with. I'd prefer to come up with a more mature, more artistic name. Unfortunately, everyone knows me as Amethyst Angel and it's sort of become my business name. So I guess I'm stuck with it, the same way I'm stuck with my teeth.) My only hope now is that noone confuses me for this other AA because..well....read this...
