I lost my "m" in Las Vegas
Sunday, March 30, 2003 11:04 p.m.

-according to the green M&M... (found in M&M store in Las Vegas)

Back from a week-long trip to California! It was a lot of fun. I went to Venice Beach, Malibu Beach, China town, Little Tokyo, Disneyland, Las Vegas for two days, Beverly Center in Beverly Hills, UCLA, and Drive-thru the Rodeo Drive. Also went to my first Irish Pub, initiated into Jamba Juice, In-and-Out, and Krispy Kreme donuts, and watched Sunset in Malibu beach. Again, it was a lot of fun. Now I don't know how I'm going to go back to school days......

I re-did the quiz and...

You wanna shag the Jost Hartnett-lookalike!
You wanna shag the Josh Hartnett-lookalike down in
the Helm's Deep caves! Only problem is, we
don't know his name, so you're on your own on
making the arrangements.

Which Helm's Deep soldier do you wanna shag?
brought to you by Quizilla

He DOES look good, though. =p

This is all your doing, Miko-san....

You wanna shag Aragorn!
Your lust object is Aragorn! But, sadly, he's
already got Arwen and Eowyn pining after him.
Grab your chance by kidnapping him right after
the battle (he'll be too exhausted to fight),
run off to Avathar (surely no one will look for
you there) and shag the living daylights out of
him.

Which Helm's Deep soldier do you wanna shag?
brought to you by Quizilla

and I always thought that I was more of a Legolas person.... (Do Legolas have any relation to Lego company, btw?)

Immersed in CTB...
Sunday, March 9, 2003 10:07 a.m.

No, Kitsu, I was more busy with studying.... although Hector is constantly with me as we study together anyway. =p
BTW, this is my hectic schedule.
3/10: CTB (Cell Tissue Biology) Unit 2 exam (covering freaking 10 systems!!!)
3/13: Physiology Unit 2 exam (on Respiratory and Renal... it's so much, and I haven't even started studying for it!!!! *weep*)
3/17: CTB final exam (covering the whole freaking course)
3/18: CTB practical exam (it's time to identify organs according to their microscopic structures!!!)

so, this is more like the reason why I have fallen out of the face of the earth... It sucks as it's a no-win situation. True, I had some life for the past three weeks, but it's not like I didn't study everyday, 'cause I did (all but about 3 hours per day, but still... besides, I didn't have that much time to study after getting out of class at 5pm...). But I'm STILL overwhelmed by the amount of materials that I need to know for the next two weeks. It sucks, it truely does. =( It's not even that I don't like the subjects, 'cause they are interesting... I just don't like that I am rushed to learn everything in such a short time.

On the brighter note, It's spring break starting 3/21! =D and I'm going to LA for a week!! I'm so excited about the trip. It will be fun, and I get to go to Las Vegas for two days. =D MIko-san, are you going to be around? I'm not going to be far from Pasadena, so maybe we can meet up? =)

oh, and Kitsu, I'm sorry that your roommate is so annoying... =( well, just a couple more months (ok, well, maybe more than a couple), and you'll be freed of her! =)

Te-chan, you can add another male opinion on your poll.. I asked Hector your question regarding the payment and he said yes, although we have a policy(?) of him not paying everything. That was agreed upon at the start of the relationship. =) I am just not to question when he wants to pay... Once he puts his credit card down, that's that. ^_^;;
So, you can do it, Te-chan! Bite! Growl! Get your way in this matter! =P

Monday, February 17, 2003 03:52 p.m.

It snowed so much in NJ today! It started snowing last night and it's still going on.. There are over one feet of snow on the ground, on the roof, etc... I think it's the most snow that I've ever seen. It's really pretty outside... and I'm content to be just at home being lazy. Listening to music, drinking coffee, cleaning my desk, attempting to study music (not in that order). I like snow as long as I don't have to out with snow coming up to my knee (it's a different story if I'm skiing in the snow, though. =)).

Movie weekend!
Sunday, February 16, 2003 07:25 p.m.

So Valentine Day went very well, and I enjoyed it a lot, but I won't bore you with details. Let me just tell you that there were a candle in a Cinderella's pumpkin carriage and a bottle of champaign involved. =)

oh, I also got drunk on half bottle of champaign and 5 shots of Vodka. It was fun not being able to sit up straight. =p But I didn't drink myself to the point where I would get sick, so I only had a little hang-over the next morning.

---------------------------

Yesterday, Hector and I went to see the movie DareDevil. It was quite good. Kinda like Spider-Man. (well, they are both based on the comics of the similar series after all.) There was plenty of action, a sweet love story, not too black-and-white hero with dark overtone to the whole storyline. I liked it a lot. But I also found that I got more sensitized to violence. -_-;; I cringed everytime someone got impaled....

Today, I finally went to see "Chicago" with my mom. I went to see the musical a couple of years back with my family, but don't remember it much.. But the movie was really good! I can see why it got 13 nominations for Oscar this year.. Renee Zelweiger (sp?) looked prettier without squinting eyes. =p and Catherine Zeta-Jones was just sexy and gorgeous as she always is. I'm such a bad critic. I can't go into details even if I liked it a lot. -_-;;; The music was really good as well, and well-sung, too. I think I might get the soundtrack...

Sunday, February 9, 2003 10:04 p.m.

Yay~ I don't have to drive on highway tomorrow! I'll stay at school all night studying for this freaking physiology exam and just take a shower at the gym! Yay~~~ Somehow that makes me very happy and giddy... (yes, I am delirious. Very much so. Who's freaking idea was it to cram both cell physiology unit and cardiovascular unit in one exam, anyway?)

On the brighter note, I'm getting better at pool. =D

Saturday, February 1, 2003 06:02 p.m.

Happy Chinese New Year! ^0^

Also, Happy Birthday, Te-chan!!! You're now older! =)

My sphere is Soldier (Unity in Strength and Action), and my class is Arms Master (Pragmatic and Stout).

I am a Fighter.

To carry the title of "Fighter" is to carry great strength, and courage. You are a very practical person. When life offers you a challenge, you meet it head on and plow straight through it, stopping only afterwards to worry about injury and stress. These challenges that you endure may leave scars, but they will also leave you with trusted friends, and will make you all the more determined for it.

What kind of Warrior are you?

hm.. interesting.... for secondary matches, I also got Campaigner (soldier sphere, champion class) and Dark Artist (soldier sphere, rogue class)...

February is a busy month...
Friday, January 31, 2003 04:51 p.m.

Not to mention that the exams started... Cell Tissue Biology exam next Monday and Physiology exam on the Monday after that.... But another thing is,

2/14: Valentine's Day (and I actually have a date. =p)
2/18: BF's birthday
2/20: One month anniversary
2/28: My "Birthday" (it's 2/29, but I usually do 2/28)

Busy month, right? It was funny because my friends were telling me "Make sure to get separate present for each occasion!" ^_^;;;

OK. back to studying...

*********************************************************

Flirting came to this...
Tuesday, January 21, 2003 10:29 p.m.

The date yesterday (which were basically the movie "Catch me if you can" and a lot of talking back at the school's small group session room - as we couldn't find any "romantic spot" in Newark. -_-;;;) went well. Now I "officially" have a boyfriend. =D

All of this is rather new to me, but he's really really really really really really (ok. you get the picture.) sweet, and I feel so much loved. It's a wonderful feeling. And I like him back. A lot.

Saturday, January 18, 2003 12:37 p.m.

I like flirting. =D It's very much fun. Now we'll see where this goes.....

What's your fancy? Click here and tell the world!

....I didn't want to study. =P

Friday, January 3, 2003 08:47 p.m.

Yup, I read all Yawaza Ai stuff! Paradise Kiss is soo *pretty*, but I don't really like George, so... ^_^;;; But I do like catching glimpse of old "My Neighborhood Story" gang. :) I like Nana's storyline more. I used to not like "Hachi" that much, but I think I'm getting to relate to her more.. I can't wait until the next volume!!! (have up to vol.7).

I like Azumanga Daioh. I watched couple of episodes of anime, but read all of the manga (there are only 4 volumes!). I like the manga better. Because each story is presented in four-cut comic strip format, it's funnier in the manga, I think. I don't know how much I like anime, but it was pretty good. I like the voices. :) But then, I always get skeptical about books made into visual things, so I might not be giving enough credit to it. :)

Anime recommendations to Miko-san:

I watched only a couple of episodes of PitaTen. It's cute.. I thought I liked it more when I looked at a random volume of an untranslated manga, but after reading the first volume of translated one, I don't think I like it too much.
"Juuni Kokki": I only read the novels. I don't know if there's any manga out there of it. I really really really like the novel, and haven't really watched the anime. But I heard good things from people who watched the anime, so it should be good. There are a lot of famous seiyuus in it, including Koyasu Takehito, Seki Tomokazu, Ishida Akira, and numerous other people.
I also heard good things about Witch Hunter Robin and Hack/Sign.....

I actually haven't watched that many anime these days, so Kitsu would be the better in anime recommendation... But there are couple of manga that I picked up (and I'm sure you already know most of them, but here goes the list):

Naruto: It's addicting. I would never buy it, but I would rent it out whenever the new volume comes out. It's about this failure ninja boy and the process of him becoming stronger, I guess... except the main character Naruto has never shone beyond his rival even up to vol. 13.... ^_^;;;

Toppenmchamden He Youkoso by Soya Yuka: The drawing style isn't very refined, but I really like the storyline and the way mangaka tells it. It's about a 17-year-old crown princess who had to take care of her country after her father, the king, passed away. There is a cute romance going on with her and a magician, but that's not all in the storyline. :)

Nana by Yawaza Ai: I don't know if you already picked this up (probably), but I really like it! It's a combination of her great storytelling and her great artwork. :)

oh, Joy!
Tuesday, December 31, 2002 08:29 p.m.

Yay~~ My computer works now!!! I think I'll leave it to the professionals next time I try to upgrade my computer. But it wouldn't happen anyway, because I'll probably get a new computer next time....

Happy New Years to Everyone! I can't seem to feel anything special about it, though, except now it's only two days away from the next semester....

Computer died after working for a day..... -_-;;;; so frustrated.. will take it to the repair person tomorrow.. *flops onto the floor, exhausted*

Friday, December 27, 2002 10:29 p.m.

Happy Holidays, everyone! (not "late" yet since there's still the New Year's Day. :) Hope everyone's Christmas went well. It snowed a lot in NJ, but I was happy staying at home wrapped in a blanket. Snow is pretty when you don't have to be out there when it's falling. :)

I've finally set up my computer!! It has been giving me lots of headaches since I decided to reformat it a couple of weeks ago... Now I'm back in civilization... ^0^

Monday, December 9, 2002 10:57 p.m.

Books everyone should read:
"Chronicles of 12 Countries" by Ono Fuyumi (there's also an anime out of this although they changed the story around and threw in extra characters.) - Very realistic take on "girl-transported-to-another-world". I promise that there will be no typical cheesy love story here (like in Fushigi Yuugi). It rather deals with psychological changes when you are thrown into a totally different world alone. Very interesting. It also has a kick-ass female "main" character ("" because there are 24 main characters <- 2 from each of 12 countries, but not all of them are introduced yet. And they don't all come out at once into one story. It's rather a collection of stories about 12 different countries). It also has a very interesting world setup where the king/queen of each country is chosen by a mystical(?) animal (which can transform into a human form - there are both males and females) according to "the will of heaven". If the chosen king/queen does not act on behalf of the people, the animal (Kirin) will get sick and eventually die, in which case the chosen king/queen also dies.

Using the comp at School's student lounge...

Had the third Gross Anatomy exam today, and studying for the final exam on Wed. It sucks, but somehow, I'm not as panicked as I should be. My study mate said that we studied about 80 or so hours just for the third exam. I don't think I ever studied that much for any one course, even. But it's ok. I actually liked studying. Not the studying process itself (that sucked. staying at school forever. Going home for 7 hours to sleep for 5 hours everyday.... I was here for 15 hours on Sat, studying. x_x), but the fact that I actually know stuff at the end of studying. I like seeing the results of my effort. =)

Currently listening: Fly to the Sky 3rd album and FF9 soundtrack piano version, alternatively.
Wanting to read: Shadow Puppet and The Requiem for the Sun.

********************************************************

Thursday, November 21, 2002 08:43 p.m.

Only a week until the end of Gross Anatomy! I'm really happy that I can actually rest during Thanksgiving break (although it would be only 4 days or so). Next month shouldn't be too bad since I only have Genetics and Community Health until winter break. =)

I was reading my old Animage couple of days ago, and in their new DVD section, I saw "Vampire Hunter D" Japanses version!!!! Apparently, it came out in mid-June, and they made Bloodlust with Japanese voices. I suppose that they realized how horrible the English dubbing was? I watched it again with my friend after biochem final was over, and watching it for the third time didn't help me at all in coping with the voices. -_-;;;
I wonder if they will ever get it here in US? I doubt it, but I wanna hear Japanese voices~~~ ;_;

I also need to get the Lord of the Rings extended version DVD.... now what should I do with the regular version? (<- person who was too impatient so got the DVD as soon as it came out before finding out about the extended version...)

*********************************************************

Wednesday, November 6, 2002 08:47 p.m.

Biochem is over!!!!!!! ^O^
I don't have to look at it ever again, ever! (well, at least until the national board exam..)

I'm gonna go sleep some more and play Rhapsody... =D

******************************************************

Rhapsody!
Friday, November 1, 2002 06:37 p.m.

I finally tracked down a copy of "Rhapsody" (PS game) through gamestop.com yesterday and obtained a copy at a store 8 miles away from home! ^o^

It was used, but still pretty expensive, probably because it's discontinued and not many used ones are out there. But it was very satisfactory. I played for about 3 hours, and it's really cute!!
I like that the main character you're playing is a girl, and that you're going on a journey to SAVE the kidnapped Prince! =D
The premise sounds cheesy and typical ("Find your true love!"), but it's not a dating game, and I'm liking this game a lot so far.

At the same store, I also picked up a copy of the first Persona game. I haven't gone very far in the second one, but it was cheap, and it would be interesting to play the first one before the second one. But those would have to wait until I finsh Rhapsody, Kingdom Heart, and Tales of Destiny. (and maybe Xenogears and FF10, too..... -_-;;;)

----------------------------

I heard that there's a new book by Orson Scott Card out!! It's still about Bean, and called "Shadow Puppet". My friend at school will lend one to me after the biochem exams. (Biochem would be over forever - well, at least until USMLE - after Wed. next week!! ^0^) I can't wait to read it. I also would really like to read the new book by Elizabeth Haydon, but that would have to wait until later.

-----------------------------

K-san, Look what you made me do yesterday instead of studying! After reading your blog and your fic, I was seized by a desire to surf the web for the info on My Little Pony, and spent hours on web looking at all the toys that were produced. -_-;;; Apparently, the one I used to have was Rainbow Windy the Unicorn. I like unicorns. =D
