Just noticed that it's May 1st today! My sense of date has long gone.. -_-;;;
It was good to see Te-chan... but sad that I didn't get to hang out with her more.. =(
Damn tests.... I'm so exhausted from it, too.. I really really really don't feel like re-memorizing 600-something drugs again, but what can you do.. at least I have some cushion so I wouldn't fail the course as long as I do decently on the final. Besides, it scares me that I would be treating patients (under supervision of higher-up doctors, but still..) starting July.. so there's some motivation to put hard work on knowing these drugs (which isn't really helping at this point after about two weeks of non-stop studying.)
On a much more happy note, I got 28 eps of Full Metal Alchemist from Te-chan today! ^o^ Thank you, Te-chan!!
I did read translated version of manga up to vol.6, but I really wanted to see the anime, too. I heard anime took radically different direction compared to manga in terms of timeline and all that.
and of course, it's exciting to see the characters move and talk and such. (guess I'm really tired of reading now? heheh)
sadly, though, it wouldn't be watched until the weekend at least... oh, well, such is the path that I chose, I guess. But really, it's not so bad.. despite all that bitching and moaning that I do... partly because I only see med students around me these days, so I don't have any glimpse of normal life to be envious of...

Take the "Which Anime pet are you?" test!
Kitsu, the other flash movie is about a couple who are in love, if I remember correctly... ^_^;; I'll translate that one for you, too, once the test is over. The dialogues are excerpts from a book that they got published a little while ago. =)

Kitsu, here you go~ ^_^ I found the translation of the song on their english faq page.
But this translation is VERY meaning-translation.. changed the meaning completely in some parts, too... (guess it's to make the english version more singable?)
so here's my more of an word-to-word translation.
-------------------------------------
She, who left my side suddenly, came back begging forgiveness
Crying to me, after wandering about everywhere
wuh wuh wuh wuh (-_-;;;)
No need to hesitate, I shall accept her
She, whom I waited for so desperately(?), came back to me
Happy, happy, it makes me happy that you came back, it makes me happy that you, whom I longed for, came back
Came back, came back, she came back to me, she, whom I waited for so much, came back to me
Wanting to see, Wanting to hold me, did she came back because she missed me
Happy, happy, it makes me happy that you came back, she, whom I waited for so much
I like you so much, I can't help it
-------------------------------------
The flash movie was so funny.. esp. because the song is sung by a guy's POV, but the bunny girl is the one chasing.. =p

Finished watching the last episode of "The Apprentice"
Could NOT believe how Omarosa (sp?) acted!!! Does she have any awareness that she's on TV? OMG. She lied last week and I thought that was pretty darn bad. This weeks she was worse!
As the team gets the news that Donald Trump is coming to see Jessica Simpson, Omarosa takes her away without telling any of the other team members and then becomes "unreachable". It was quite funny how Jessica Simplson and her husband, Nick had the look of "what the hell is she doing here" exchanged between them when Omarosa was chilling at Jessica's suite. =p
On another news, I got my schedule for studying for the board planned today. Looks like fun fun fun! -_-;;; I just hope that I can re-learn all that stuff in 30 days.... (that's actual study days without practice test day, final review days, 1 day off every week.)
Any fun stuff happening? um... I got gittery from a cup of coffee this morning? ^_^;;;;

The second year has only three weeks left and then it's The Study Time for the board! *freaking out*
I scheduled my board step 1 to be on June 21st, so I'll have about 6 weeks to study before taking it.. which seems like awefully short time considering that I have to review EVERYTHING that I learned in the past two years. It doesn't really help when I'm finding myself forgetting some of the nerves that I memorized in anatomy class last year. (gosh, that feels like a lifetime away..)
The only news in my recent life (which basically consists of studying, taking test, sleeping, playing Dark Age of Camelot - MMPORPG - occasionally with Hector) is that I went to a yearly school formal two weekends ago. It's annually held to honor some faculties who showed excellence in teaching - voted by students. I didn't go last year 'cause we had tests couple of days afterwards. I wasn't thinking about going this year, either, but got converted at the last minute. It was fun. I had my first slow dance with Hector there. ^_^

Quick update on what I'm up to these days...
1. Studying!!! Next week is test week.
We have Pharmacology test on Monday (on freaking 150 drugs... I hate you, anti-bacterial, I hate you, anti-viral, I hate you, chemotherapy... the list goes on and on...), Clinical Preventive Medicine test on Wed, Pathology/Introduction to Clinicl Sciences test on Friday. Tons to study. Panicing. Going into denial and go off to read manga. And the smart people up there scheduled mandatory 3-hour sessions everyday this week.
One good thing of all this might be that I get to learn to draw blood on Wed. =)
2. Dancing! I'm participating in School Talent Show(?) (yet to be scheduled... it was scheduled on first week of april, but now they are seeing the stupidity of it... half of the third year has spring break, so they won't be there..). It's Jazz dance. I've never done it before except last year when I did the show, but it's lots of fun. The songs that we're doing includes:
Shake your groove thing ('70s)
Fame and Maniac ('80s)
Janet Jackson's If ('90s)
N'Sync's Tearin' out my heart ('90)
Some Hip Hop music whose title I forgot..
Harder to Breathe
I'm in everything except If and HipHop... It's fun. =) Choreographed by an awesome fourth year, who's going into Pediatrics. =)
3. Reading lots of manga!! Found a Korean server that uploads lots of scanned version of Korean-languaged manga. Kinda like BitTorrent? Except you can't really search by titles.. Really good ones that I read are:
IMAGINE by Satoru Makimura
Do Da Dancing! by Satoru Makimura
Delicious Relationship (literal translation) by Satoru Makimura
Skip Beat! (up to vol. 5 finally!)
Full Metal Alchemist up to vol.6
Mars (the whole thing + side story) by Soryo Fuyumi
Eternal Sabbath by Soryo Fuyumi
Hayakki Yakousho by Ima Ichiko
Border Patrol (literal translation) by Kyoko Shitou
Kanata Kara by Higawa Kyoko
They were all great!!! I would recommend all of them. But as you can see it in the list.. that's a lot, so I spent a lot of time reading them... hence, panicing about the tests.. ^_^;;;
ok. Off to study, I go~

"Angels & Demons" by Dan Brown Monday, February 16, 2004 04:11 p.m.
Started reading in the middle of studying for exams, finally finished the day after exam ended. =)
This is the prequel to "DaVinci Code" and I wanted to read this one first as this one introduces that Havard symbology professor whose name I forgot. =p
It was pretty interesting read.. I liked how he used all the existing sculptures and buildings to create his mystery. I liked the conflict between religion and science. I liked occasional surprises that the plot threw at me, especially at the ending.
One thing that I didn't like was that it felt like dragged. The whole story spans a day, but it felt like a lot longer... of course, there are a lot of things happening, but I occasionally felt like skipping seemingly unnecessary details in the middle.
But overall, it was pretty good. I'll get to DaVinci Code eventually... ^_^
