I had to wake up at 9.30 this morning. Went to the desolate Chino Hills for a one year old's birthday party. The "park" it was held in was pretty much just a small lot of grass and trees with a single sandbox. If it weren't for the plastic balloons, I probably would have fallen asleep. Does anyone remember plastic balloons? There would be a squeeze tube of gel and you would put some of that on the end of a straw and blow a bubble. Perhaps the best toy that still has toxic fumes. I might go to the Orange County Fair tomorrow with my friend and her family. I do hope whoever else she invites goes. Me + person I barely know + family = Awkward. Anyhow, I went with my friend and some other people to Long Beach Towne Center and watched Minority Report and Mr. Deeds. We filled the time between the two with a little of Halloween: Resurrection. Here's my two cents. Minority Report - It probably was interesting, but it couldn't really hold my interest. The ending was contrived and predictable. Seems the writers just took the easy way out. Mr. Deeds - Of course I can't give this a good review. It's a typical Adam Sandler film. Guy somehow finds himself in an exclusive ring of people. Said people are just exploiting the poor schmuck. He eventually beats them at their own game, wins the favor of the public, and gets the girl. I couldn't help from sighing in exasperation and muttering "Oh, my god" an hour into the movie. Few parts were even remotely funny, except for Winona Ryder's lies. C'mon, Sandler! Do something new! Halloween: Resurrection - Need I say anything? Crap. Crappity crappity crap. Had a strange...star-studded dream. Mom forced me to come with her to some ice cream place near our house. Anyways, I somehow wound up sitting across from Diaz and Jones [Douglas wasn't sitting with them] and talking. I guess I was funny or something.
There was a brief scene in a high school locker room where I was having trouble opening a locker. Then I couldn't find any of my clothes in my locker. I didn't understand that part.
It came back to the ice cream place where Michael Douglas was getting cranky and wanted to leave. After they all left, I asked for Conchata's autograph. Odd.
