Didn't do much last night after I got home. Talked to a few people then went to sleep. Today was the first morning in the past few weeks I was allowed to wake up when I wanted to, without having to cover myself in ridiculous amounts of sunblock, and hurt my fingers on flying blunt objects. It sucks that this break ends in a few days.
Half the weapon line is leaving after this year. Natalie is graduating, and everybody else is quitting because "junior year is important!" This leaves me, and three other people. We didn't get any freshmen this year. All of our new members joined because they saw us perform in Showcase of the Arts. Unless we get people who can actually spin next year, we're gonna have a 4-person weapon line and a flag line that half-asses their movements. Not putting them down or anything, but most of them act like they're being held at gunpoint during our movement exercises. There are others who just don't listen to what they're being told and keep repeating the same mistakes again and again. They treat this like it's some sort of hobby that they can pick up when they feel like it, and ignore when they don't. We're going to Vegas to compete this year... some time before the Florida vacation. Mark wants to take us to Dayton next year for Nationals, but if everybody leaves, it won't be possible.
Anyways, last night's performance wasn't that bad. I fucked up a few of my tosses, but nothing big. Unless you were a judge, teacher, or someone who knows these things, you wouldn't have noticed.

Kika and I have come up with metaphor-laden, sure-to-be-a-winner, artsy-fartsy play. The story focuses on the classic married couple of suburbia with arguments and unwanted children to boot, but here's the kicker: the couple is a penis and vagina! As with all great plays, the story ends with tragedy. The title is pending, though. Kika came up with "The Truth About Wives and Husbands Through the Eyes of the Sexual Organs." A tad lengthy, but it pretty much explains the premise. Mine sounds like a fantasy novel - "Penis & Vagina: The Everlasting Battle"

Well shit on me and call it artwork, I haven't delirioused in a good five or six days! Now, instead of a gratuitous update on what I haven't been up to in those days, let's just talk about today. It's probably the most interesting anyways. If my life can be called interesting, that is.
My father's sister's husband [in case you don't know, that'd make him my uncle] had a birthday party today. After eating, I immediately went to bang away on the baby grand. I suddenly found myself cornered by six or seven people insisting I play Filipino oldies. I reluctantly obliged and - whoo, nelly - was I terrible. So there I was, stumbling my way through the theme from "Ikaw" with these people commenting on my playing in rapid Tagalog. I only had a vague idea of what they were saying. I think they felt sympathy for me because I hadn't been able to practice the music. I had to play three songs and be upstaged by my aunt before they realized that I was not going to make anything sound good and left.
After I bored of playing, I tried entertaining myself by watching the kids play some retro 80s games. Ah, the memories. Found the computer, Iko let me use her Freeloader account to listen to music and I badgered Kika into sending me some music. Computer room was feckin' hot.
Repeated above for three hours with some going into the backyard for food/water. I'm a party animal, I am.
Grandpa came back from a trip to the Phillipines. The smell of old man drowning in cologne once again fills my house, as does his ever-squeaking shoes. Whatever money I get from him is certainly not enough for what he's done. Now my sister is back in my room with her damn dirty pile of clothes on her bed which will be transferred to balance precariously on the other pile of clothes on the chair for the desk completely covered by her other junk, next to which is now a pile of handbags, backpacks, and other unassorted portable storage devices which will surely attract a plethora of dust and other unsavory things which I, of course, will be left to clean up because she is busy living her social life. -inhales-
I have this silly idea that our hits are going to plummet after this entry. But that's full of crazy, ain't it?
