well since Saru posted his adventure, I wanna post mine from... quite a few days ago :D

I went to this korean '*insert korean characters* ANIME - DVD *insert more korean characters' place called "Comic World." Well of course I figured out that it was a korean place, so I guess prepared to see mostly korean stuff. But since it said ANIME - DVD I figured -maybe- that would have some english titles, but when me and my cousins went in they didnt have any. ah wells.

across the street is where honey bakery and yummy boba or whatever is, my cousins and I just went directly to V&W culture (this chinese book store) and I was looking for Conan but they didnt have much. They had Hunter x hunter 5 + 11 but those werent the ones I wanted, they also had some hikaru no go and one piece, but still none I really wanted. Shrug. So I just rented some -OLD- ...OLD comics they had. They had several new ones but I wasn't interested. Oh well, manga = good.

then I went to "Hong kong tropical fish" to look at those colorful fish. It was fun since I also bought this bridge for my turtles. They sold turtles there saru! but they were expensive, plus they didnt look very healthy (they were just lying there -dead- still, or maybe my turtles are too hyper?) I just realized how huge my turtles are o.O those baby turtles are tiny.

I went to the UPS center to send the gee-tar back. It always surprises me how people in lines never seem to talk; they just stare straight ahead or fiddle around with their cellphones. Not that I'm a big fan of the whole socializing thing, but shuffling forward in a deathly silence isn't that great either. All you could hear in the room was the packages being taped. A man wearing a tropical print and looking like a hard rock roadie/has been nearly broke the spell when he suddenly opened his package and ripped out what looked like an extremely flat instrument case. Inside was a small electric guitar with some signatures. He held it up for all to see, put it back in the case, got out of line, and left. Apparently this shook up the people enough to make them look like they were in a post-waking disorientation. Though, within a minute, everyone was back to staring straight ahead. I guess we'd all rather be somewhere else.

Went to visit my cousins after that for no particular reason. I feel the presence of Kumon makes their summer so much more productive than mine. And they got turtles from Chinatown! I want to get turtles. And put them with my fighting fish. Except my fish aren't in the least bit aggressive. Stupid bastards. My dog's distracting me with his snoring.

Tofu Festival was...fun, I guess. There wasn't much to do aside from filching samples of soy milk and buying very small portions of food. The weather was agonizingly hot, and the shopping booths weren't...very interesting. Oh well, it was more productive than most days and I haven't been down to Little Tokyo in forever.

I think I took a nap at four something this afternoon and woke to my dog's barking. Turns out my sister came back from "camping" with her friends. Except Pismo Beach was filled, so they wound up staying at a hotel. Whoo, hardcore out-of-doors people.

I'm due to get Radiohead's OK Computer and The Bends in the mail anytime soon. I never knew people actually got music from Columbia House.

Such an unproductive day. I start out the morning with Batman Beyond: Return of Joker [stop laughing], interrupt it with Memento, then watch Amelie a couple hours later. Hours of sitting there is not my idea of entertainment. So what's the difference between a movie and the computer? Something about the computer being more interactive.

Amelie was...okay. Not great. But it got me thinking about everyone's fascination with love and a none too original idea finally got through my thick skull. People don't actually want relationships, they want what leads up to them. I mean, most romantic comedies are centered around the incredible way two people meet. How those people find "the one." They fall in love, maybe get married. Then the film ends. It takes out all the shit about commitment and hardships and serves up serendipitous love.

So people are left as hopeless romantics, dreaming of finding love with a message written in a bottle or by realizing that childhood friend is more than a friend. And they daydream and imagine and conceive all these incredible scenarios of meeting their soul mate in the most impossible places.. But they don't know what to do with the person when they find them. Sure, they'll go out and express their undying love for each other then do the naughty sex...

Uh huh. I've completely forgotten where I'm going with this. Magic love is not long-term love? Whatever.

My mom brought me Thai food today. Now this wasn't the first time I've eaten Thai, but...ew. I'm all for spices, but not when they overpower the food. I'll stick with my phat thai and tom yum kung.

The current music scene SUCKS.

I think August could be the worst month of the year. It's towards the end of summer and is just a few weeks away from the start of another schoolyear. There are already back-to-school ads on the television. And I hate it. I hate it because they're making school more real than it should be right now. Because they're already making you think of the school year and that delicate bubble of blissful ignorance is quivering under the weight of reality.

And after three weeks of quivering, that bubble's finally gonna pop.

I saw Les Rivieres Pourpres [The Crimson Rivers] yesterday.

I was expecting something along the lines of Se7en from what I saw in the previews. Instead, I got...every other action/thriller movie.

Sure, the crimes were gorey and the setting was be-a-u-tiful, but the story was crap. CRAAAP. Once the first half of the movie is over, everything falls into banality. The "twists" were predictable and the plot became ridiculous, if not incredible. Neo-Nazi experiments and avalanches? That's full of crazy.

I guess it goes to show you that just because it's foreign doesn't mean it's going to be thought-provoking and change the way you view the world forever.

The Professional wasn't too great either.

I killed my clock last night.

Actually, it wasn't my clock, my sister got it and it's been in the room for as long as I can remember. It has Pippo, the pig from Sanrio, on its pink face. The numbers are alternating white and purple flowers. After a while, it became transparent.

It wasn't ticking correctly. Instead of tick-tock, it sounded like two quick snaps and then a small click. It was distracting me from going to sleep. I finally turned on the lamp and looked at it. It was frozen at 8:41 with the seconds hand moving one space back and two spaces forward. After I picked it up off of the wall, it stopped moving so oddly. I turned it around and peeled the battery out. The tape covering the battery was coated in dust. I put it back on the wall and went to sleep.

I'm starting to notice the clock again.

whee! went to rowland heights today! i don't like the diamond plaza place. it's so boring. there's all this bland F4 stuff there -_-. i was in a crisis though. i saw a magazine w/ Gackt on the cover! I already saw the pics though.. it was only $7... i had $20!! so i looked at the cds.. i saw some rare globe cds and was going to buy "genesis of next" when i saw some d-a-i singles -_-. i also saw "Free & Easy".... but i didnt want overseas version for that, so i had to choose between globe and d-a-i. i made my sister place both behind her back and i had to choose a hand. i got the d-a-i single: "tooku made"! it's a good single... the original version of "SHIGUNARU" is on it too... the instrumental sounds better than the one w/ vocal -_-. after that was the interesting bathroom story. we were eating at this restaurant, and my sis and i needed to use restroom. my sister started giggling like mad in the stall next to mine. the doorknob, instead of staying horizontal, was facing straight up! u know those doorknob handles? yes, well it looked.. very funny, pointing at that angle. later, we were washing our hands, and my sister pointed to a sign that said, "all employees MUST wash hands". i stood in front of it and mocked, "well i don't WANT TO!!!" somehow, it was really funny and my sister cracked up. then i added, "no no! all employees MUST wash hands AND FEET!!!" too bad i didnt have my permanent marker -_-.

then we went to 99 da-hwa supermarket. there were many amusing things in there too. we were looking at meat, and suddenly my sister called me 'pork butt'--i dont know why. i told her, 'theres no such thing as pork butt/they dont sell pork butt' . she said, 'yes they do!' and pointed to ground pork. i was like, 'thats different!' she said, 'no its not... fine fine, ur bo xay.' bo xay was the cantonese version of ground pork or something, wakaranai. so now i was called 'bo xay', while i called my sister 'pork butt' the whole time. so funny. we had a scary hair-slapping duel too. it wasn't fair--she had a ponytail -_- but anyways, i also told her that i was going to take down one of those "4/$1" signs and glue it on her T-shirt XD. she got very mad XD. i forgot, while we were in the restaurant, we were playing this game, where you tap out a tune on the table or whatever. my sister did 3 Gackt songs and i got "Vanilla" instantly. xD. we also did ayu songs--my sister did the clapping intro from "independent" -__-.

XD Anyways, it turns out that Tohru Fujisawa's arrival had to be delayed 2 and a half hours, so everybody just sat around in the Wherehouse. David brought a laptop, and we tried to watch Inuyasha, Chobits, Full Metal Panic!, and Vandread. Everything lagged except for Vandread. Nobody wanted to watch that. >D Ended up watching Gackt videos over and over and over again. We watched Vanilla three times in a row. Forced Saru-kun to watch too. The Tokyopop guys were giving out drinks and holding a raffle of prizes until Fujisawa-sensei came. Both Kikari and Makiyo won individual manga volumes, and I won the set of GTO manga. They didn't have my prize at the moment, so I left my address and they're shipping it later. I talked to the guy about Dragon Knights. I've only read part of the first volume and I got distracted, but I might continue. Shrug. Fujisawa-sensei arrived, and the group of us yelled "KIMASHITA!!!" when we saw him. The guy told him that Maki and I arrived even before the store came, and I told him the time in Japanese. ehehe. He drew me a picture, and signed my DVD, and took a picture with me. Delirious bar Saru-kun got pictures, Maki also got a picture. I stuck around afterwards and asked him to write "to Victoria" on it, and he did. Nobody else got it. *beam beam beam* Was the first full Delirious reunion since Krispi's birthday party, too.

He asking where Fujisawa-san was staying, but I didn't hear what short guy said because I was running away. Whee. I should be sleeping. Need energy tomorrow to be screaming "FUJISAWA-SENSEI!" at the top of my lungs. I'm just sitting around thinking, reading diaries of people I'll never get to talk to, because I'm just that kind of person. I'm in a desperate need to get my burner fixed by the end of next week, if possible. The only times I'm in such a panic is when something wrong happens to my computer. Nearly had a emotional breakdown when my monitor stopped working. (though I discovered later that the plug was loose. Stupid Iko. *bangs head on desk*) The other was when the DSL lied to me and /told/ me I was online, when I was, in fact, not. I can't download anything until I burn this mass of Kaikan Phrase episodes off my computer, which I was stupid enough to download as many as I can until I only had 300 MB left of space on my hard drive. I'm having strange bursts of intelligence, no? I'm feeling a bit bad because I promised to send a friend a few CDs with Gackt videos on them, but it'll have to take a while longer. Would be angry and depressed at the moment, but being depressed whilst listening to Kotani Kinya songs are just impossible. I love him to death. My streamload account is not able to keep up with my download habits. Five days into the new billing month, and I'm through with half of my downloads. I'm gonna upgrade when the billing period comes to an end, which might not be good as it starts when school starts. Tamarket has those Gravitation pins up on ebay. I would offer to split it with someone, but I have no money, plus if I do buy it, I'm too much of a greedy bitch to share. I want both, or none. What kind of a person would I be if I had to choose between Shuichi or Yuki?

Scared. I called person-who-will-give-me-assignment and told her to send the instructions via e-mail. I hope she hasn't forgotten; she's leaving for a month-long trip to Germany on Monday. Her leaving before sending me instructions = bad. I'll pester her again tomorrow.

I'm going with you guys to signing...thing tomorrow! Whee. I have to bring the game Alex borrowed from Kristi last year. Have to wake up early...

Never went to comp'ny luau, suffered an afternoon of my sister's friends. It's not so bad. I think they think I'm crazy or something, so they choose to avoid me except for saying hi. What, being greeted in the middle of the afternoon by a kid in pajamas is too uncool for you? The grunge look is so in again.

Apparently, MTV is having some kind of week-long Real World marathon. Whoever is actually following it must have a very sad life.

Today's lesson: Procrastination seems to be a much worse crime during the summer.

Our city is holding a banquet to honor property owners who have remodeled their homes to "help beautify the City with superior upkeep and maintenance" o__O;; They get dinner, a picture with the City Council, and a framed commemorative photo of their home/business. Our city has nothing better to do. All the classes I want to sign up for are on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays. Right in the middle of the field season competitions. So none for me. Bah. >F

I'm gonna have to open up my computer and check if the wires connecting to the burner are loose/need to be replaced. I've been having problems burning every few CDs in the pattern of Works/doesn'twork/doesn'twork/doesn'twork/works/works/doesntwork/doesn'twork/doesntwork. BAH. Anyways I'll need it fixed in time so I can send Gackt videos to my friend in exchange for a Gravitation mug. I'm gonna pause on Kaikan Phrase for a while to watch as many Gackt videos as my computer can handle before it decides that Gackt is too sexy for its system and shuts down. Won't take long. Sai-chan and I have already caused much jealousy to AIM through our sending-Gackt-images marathon. Anyways, going to the Fujisawa signing tomorrow. I heard that lots of people are coming, so I'll be bringing the magnum (in honor of K XD) and screaming Engrish phrases at the top of my lungs whilst firing in random directions. I'm also bringing the FRAU magazine to gawk at while waiting in line. If you're attending and have a longing to see nekkid-Gackt-booty, come find me or something.
