I really ought to turn in early tonight but I feel like penning some thoughts before that.

I'm really really thankful for today. :) It was filled with good news and good conversations, and beyond that, it gave me affirmation that I have been searching for.

Sometimes in life we just need a little reminder :)

Now that I've gotten through last night & the horrors of this morning it's time to blog. Thankfully I'm not a moron; there's love in this world after all. :)

If you don't already know, I've been catching up on Glee lately. It is such an awesome show! :))) Being a huge sucker for covers, it's really fun to watch how they bring life to these songs again. Here's a song I've been listening to alot lately:

To be fair though, not all their songs are hits. I was quite disappointed when they tried to do Aerosmith's Dream On. They were seriously no match for Steven Tyler and his extensive vocals.

Some days I wish my head was like a computer so that I could enter commands and create programs that would do exactly what I wanted it to do. In this perfect world, I would be able to control my thoughts with exact precision and free myself from everything else I don't want to think about.

It is kind of amazing that within the short span of one weekend I've grown so tanned. Well I say so because I seriously don't remember being this colour a week ago!

Kudos to happy days in the sun, although at times I feel like I'm literally melting. Right now I gotta fix the problem of having at least three different tan lines from my bikini/tank top.

Nonetheless, all's good :)) Well at least till tomorrow.

Unfortunately no bier for us yesterday (to Lei's disappointment), but regular ones were great too. :)))

It was really fun people-watching (think: hot girls with legs that seemed to go on forever). Guess what we were doing? Stuffing our faces with paella and beer. How brilliant.

Our Xiao's attempt to steal the stranger's beer (and garlic bread!!) failed to materialise aikes. But we did get a cheap thrill sneaking off after hehe.

Can't wait for everyone to be back!!! :)

Though my Tokyo dreams were shattered due to my dire financial situation, I guess this would do for now hehe.

:)) Woke up early today and I felt awesome & accomplished. I should do this more often.

1. Had my first driving lesson: FUN.

2. Spent an hour walking around deserted+depressing Compass Point waiting for Popular Bookstore to open at 11am.. only to realise their study guides were solely for primary/secondary school children and not for GMAT prep. Seriously FML

3. But I did get myself a new lip color while waiting :)))

4. And on the bright side, I found the books I needed in the library eventually. Well done waisy!

5. Sewing while watching Glee = GLEE :)

In case you're wondering, yup I've decided to go ahead with my GMAT first. And nope, I'm not certain about my future yet. I mean I could flunk the test so badly it'd put me off grad school. But after some conversation yesterday, I figured no harm trying since I've got time on my hands. Well other than the USD250 of course.

Had drinks with someone today. He was so driven it made me feel motivated and ashamed at the same time. Sigh waisy you need to decide on your future soon! Post-grad vs. work- I need a sign :(

Speaking of academics, it just occurred to me that results will be out in about a week's time. Sigh I'm really not ready for my bubble world to burst. :(((

On a lighter note, today I started working on craft work. :) Bought some dress patterns which I am eager but afraid to start on. Hahaa Shixian if you're reading this: we need to do this together! Well besides that, I also cut up an old t-shirt dress to make another jersey necklace.

George just showed me something that makes me feel better: check this out. No offense if any of them are your friends, but quite fail no?

OKAY time for bed soon. It's a bad idea to be working with needles at this time of night!

Second week into summer but I've been keeping myself busy. Tonnes of errands to run and things to do :) Well, so far so good I suppose. I'm still trying to slow things down a little more cus I haven't really had time to myself yet. Mm guess I'll do "Stay Home Friday" today since I've got no plans :)))

I've had a lot of people asking what my plans for summer are, and frankly I dread these questions.. simply because I have no real plans. And I hate to admit that. Plus the unsolicited advice or judgmental "ohh" that come along with my lackluster response frankly make me feel more like a loser.

It's not that I haven't thought about what I want to do, but that doesn't equate to having an agenda or a purpose.

And well, it is suddenly apparent to me that I didn't have a clue what I was doing for the past 4-5 months. I'm not referring to anything in specific, but to school & life in general. It shouldn't come as a surprise to me, judging from the way I let myself go with the flow and get caught up in it. I mean honestly, I'm sick and tired and unafraid to admit it.

So with regards to the dreaded question, I finally got an answer. I've decided that I am going to spend this summer to find myself again. And I'm gonna do it nice and slow in my own pace. Guess I may not be "maximizing my time" and "missing out" on great opportunities to do other stuff.

But I suppose that can't be worse than losing myself amidst the frenzy.

It's barely a week into summer and I am drained; physically and monetarily. Been waking up everyday with some part of my body aching gosh I feel like an old lady!

Yesterday was great fun; well actually same for Monday to Thursday. Checked out the Singapore Arts Festival opening with the Huskies. The Empress Place area was pretty awesome with all the different fire displays and chillac music. Almost hypnotic I must say.

Trekked over to the Helix bridge to check out Sands. Ahh I was quite disappointed by the bridge. It looked so much better from the outside :( The interior couldn't quite achieve the futuristic look it was trying to achieve, not grand at all mmm. But Sands was quite interesting. Ventured all over the resort & hotel looking at the architecture & interior design. Pretty nice! :) Kinda reminded us of Luxor in Vegas, though not as cool.

Then I literally rolled outta bed and grabbed my bag to get my cellphone. Found my phone, along with three mysterious cans of pineapple juice and a camera full of photos I don't remember taking.

The show was really awesome- no I'm not saying this because of Robert Downey Jr. (I can feel Dexter shooting daggers at me already) It's such a feel good movie, although I gotta admit the climax fell short of my expectations. Nonetheless, I loved it!! :)

And guess what, while I adored admired Tony Stark, the real bomb was Scarlett Johansson. OMG besides being so insanely hot & gorgeous, she's freaking kickass! TWO THUMBS UP, I mean just look at her

We really ceased to have meaningful & intelligent conversations after our project ended. Can't wait to execute our post exam plans: DINOFREAK :)))) Then we won't need to suffer ahahaaa!

Life has taken a turn for the better after Dr Chng's exam. :) I mean if you've hit rock bottom it's hard to go anywhere but UP right? Received some good news yesterday about our YT$ which was really great :) Although we didn't hit jackpot, but the 4am nights feel more justified now! Evidently all we really care about is the money HAHA

My strategy of wearing white seems to be working! Okay let me explain, last Sunday I read my horoscope and it said my lucky colour for this week is white. So being superstitious and all, I decided not to take any chances. I mean I'll definitely need all the luck I could get right? So for my first paper I wore a white tank and the paper went pretty okay. But for Tuesday cus I was in abit of a rush I went with black, very unwillingly. And my performance was indeed not up to expectations. So for Thursday & today, I religiously stuck to white and so far it seems to be working! :) I mean I wouldn't say I did damn well, but definitely did my best so all's good I suppose. Gotta check the horoscope for tomorrow!! :)

Today I started thinking about the word maybe.

It suggests hope for the future and the prospect that things may materialize. Yet on the same note it also reminds me of the uncertainties in life. The wistful feeling of having something seemingly close but always slightly out of reach.

I wish life was a little less about guessing, and maybes were more affirmative.

Yesterday's paper was typical Chee Kiong: IMPOSSIBLE. I'm pretty damn sure if he attempted to do the exam in the pathetic 3 hours he gave us, he can't do it too. Gosh at some point I think I had more swear words in my head than journal entries hahahaaa.

Oh but there was this classic scene in the morning. We were all sitting at the bench outside the LT waiting to enter. Then Wu Lei comes to join us and asked if he could borrow my cheat sheet.

Wu Lei: "Oh I'll photocopy it okay?"
Everyone: (extremely alarmed) "You didn't even prepare one?"
D: "He doesn't need one. HE'S WU LEI"
Wu Lei: "Ahh that's not true, I didn't have time"
