Random things from my inbox for my reference...so I can delete the e-mail.

Cute forward:
Proof that girls are evil

First we state that girls require time and money.
Girls = time X money And as we all know, time is equal to money.
Time = money Therefore:
Girls = Money X Money = (Money)^2
And because "money is the root of all evil"
Money = root (evil)
Therefore:
Girls = [root (evil)]^2
And we are forced to conclude:
Girls = evil

Sleeping in o.o;

First, URL for my reference: http://communities.msn.com/AnimeYa&naventryid=100

Next...yeah...I slept in about a half hour later than I normally do which kind of challenged my plans for the morning significantly. I came to work about 20 minutes later than normal, so I didn't even get to work on my "SoU" e-mail. I thought highly of not shaving this morning...but personal pride won out (though I still haven't figured out for myself why if it takes so little time, I don't shave every day during the school year -_-)...perhaps laziness (as I don't bother shaving during the weekend...unless I'm headed out somewhere. We all know that science students have no lives (see the archives)...so we don't have to worry about that problem ne? ;)

Dealt with the issues I needed to deal with yesterday...that's somewhat of a relief...hmmmm...I want to talk to someone, but I haven't figured out the format on how to do it...I thought about putting it here, but then I thought it would probably be inappropriate. I'd do e-mail...but due to the topic matter, I'm a little bit uncomfortable...I'll figure out someway soon. {no, I didn't do anything wrong...and if you have no idea what I'm talking about, then I'm not referring to you...obviously :)}

Waaah ;_;

Waaah...this morning, I was getting close to finishing up my "State of the Union" address...and it was substancial in size. I tried to save a draft, but my connection had timed out...good bye e-mail. :(

I'll try again tomorrow...I was able to get out the important e-mail (which I had to rank above the SoU e-mail) today.

Doughnuts today ^^ (our student from the technical college had her last day today)

Busy doing e-mail

08:11 a.m.

Right now...I'm busy doing e-mail so I won't really blog today (yesterday, I was dealing with a message board--which I'm also dealing with today ;). Yeah...I'm actually working on my term summary...I think most of the readers already get that e-mail anyhow. Good news though...great results DDRing on Tuesday and Wednesday ^__^. I beat a 5 foot song and two more 4 feet song...and saw a AAA rating ^^. More detail later.

Matters cleaned up

Well...it was my misinterpretation after all; I didn't hurt anyone, so I feel a lot better. That's a good thing ^_^.

Friday, I called S-san (taking advantage of the long distance plan I have...free calls in Canada on weekends, after 6 PM. Missed her earlier, called home, missed her again later ^^;;; Heh...that was a bit of fun...she was as evil as always (though not quite as evil as some readers ^o-). She wasn't too amused at the bit of science humour I found...
How do you know you're a scientist?
You wash your hands before you go to the washroom.
It's funny, 'cause it's all too true ^^;;;

S did find WMC's comments about my upcoming page design hillarious...especially the wingèd bishounen idea... ^^;; WMC, I'm not sure of the effect that a site design like that would have, but I don't think that experiment would be very ethical. I do gratefully note your choice of not being evil evil this time ^_^. That kind of formed a springboard for later parts of the conversation which I (perhaps somewhat conveniently) can't or choose not to remember at this time ;) Hmm...was the wingèd bishounen point the only one I told S about the web design...I think so. ^^;;

Saturday--a day for shopping--had to head to the lab for a few minutes to take out some plates...and read some e-mail. Went back home...then went out to see "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" in the cheap theatres ^^; Scary enough, my boss came in and sat in the row in front of me ^^;;. Very good movie...I enjoyed it greatly.
That night, while watching the late show of "Iron Chef", I flipped on the Comedy Network (CDN), and saw some twisted Canadian adult comedy (puppets). I think the episode had to do with fetishes...the one that I found hillarious (in a ludicrous manner) was the one dealing with blowing up balloons and bursting them ^^;;;

Sunday...sleep in day. A day for review and what not...I don't recall doing anything exciting actually. I did tune in and watch Kevin Spencer...a very twisted, Canadian animated comedy. Not PC at all...but I like it a lot ^^;;;.

Monday...practice MCAT again...results better than last time...will keep working on it.

Free talk v. 1.1
Friday, May 18, 2001
07:52 a.m.

Daa. A housekeeping item or two before starting this free talk. Jackie, WMC, Kourin...I intend to actually write a response to various blogs of yours. Here's where your interaction comes in...I need to know what format you want ^^;;. I can a) write an e-mail, b) slap it up on this blog as an entry or c) crack out my pen and paper and write a formal letter. Your call--I know that you read this blog (well, two definitely, the other I'm not too sure of ;).

Free talk time. Normally, I feel slightly bad if I upset someone (of course, depending on the extent, what exactly I did, and a large number of other extenuating factors. However, in a particular case, that I discovered I actually inadvertantly upset someone (I think...I'm not sure) yesterday. I feel much worse than normal, since this was someone I consider a friend online. I should point out that I'm not entirely sure if I am the one being referred to or not...I'm still waiting to hear from the person via e-mail. Sadly, the comments might refer to something I did...and it was done with good intentions. (yes, the road to hell is laiden with those...I know that all too well) :(. I hope to hear from this person soon...and at least find out if it was me. If this person is reading this, and I'm to blame...I'm really really sorry... ;_;

Probably, the fact that I feel worse than normal is because if it was in fact me, I wasn't told straight up. Instead, an indirect approach was used; I do use indirect approaches myself, but not as indirect (i.e. I may be oblique/cryptic in my messages, but I'll still go the person). I do have a thick skin...I've developed one over my academic career. I can take pretty much anything tossed at me although depending on the comment, I may be saddened. I haven't been driven to tears yet...but don't take that as an invitation.

I'm aware that I do manage to piss some people off. It's been that way for ever since I can remember (way back in elementary school). I concede that fact and just deal with it. Normally, however, the ratio of annoyed:(neutral + friendly) is fairly low. I'm not sure of my ratio online...I'm sure that a few of my posts to MLs, essays, and other such stuff have annoyed certain people...and embarassedly, I'm not too concerned by that. So be it...a lack of controversy makes life not as interesting ^^;;. However, pissing off friends is definitely not on my list of things to do (teasing, yes...pissing off, no). That's part of the reason that I'm dealing with slightly dampered spirits right now.

That's about all the personal reflection I can handle about now.

On a slightly brighter note...good things come to those that wait (also can be applied to recipients of my correspondance). _Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon_ is now at the cheap theatre (I think either $1.50 or $2 CDN)...I haven't seen it yet, so I'll go sometime this long weekend. Yes, that's right...it's a long weekend...although the time has already been allequoted o.o;

An oblique reference to the type of blog that you'll see tomorrow :/ Look at the archives if you really want to get the reference.

WMC, I'm reading your blog...though it had been a while since you updated ;).

I'm going home for food now...the rice will take a while to cook.

The past two days have been rather interesting for a number of reasons. Yes WMC, I'm very aware how loaded "interesting" is. I was rather depressed Tuesday afternoon after I managed to bungle up my procedure. I thought I had cost the team a day...if the day was just charged to me...it'd be all right. I'll quickly sum up the net result that no time was lost. Anyhow...at that time, I was rather disappointed in myself and was kicking myself for a couple of hours. When I got home, there was a package for me from a friend. I haven't quite gotten to writing her back in detail yet...but I'll soon do so. It really came at a good time; it cheered me up greatly.

Yesterday...little productive review occurred. I watched an episode of "Boot Camp" ^^;;; and talked to my friend P on the phone (he lives up here too). It's been ages since I've talked to him (last time was on my birthday back in January ^^;;;;). Had a good chat.

Continuing to review biology. Long weekend this week...may do two practice exams. I haven't decided yet.

Need to e-mail various people (and write up my "State of the Union" e-mail...if you're not already on my little ML (unofficial), and want to be...send me an e-mail ^^;;). Also need to e-mail a few people...and comment on their blog entries ^^...soon my pretties, soon. ^o^

Weekend happenings...
Monday, May 14, 2001
08:01 a.m.

For anyone who thinks that my weekends are much more interesting than my weekdays, I ask only one thing. Where have you been for the past 5 months? (extend time longer if you've known me before this blog started). Nothing too special...went and bought groceries on Saturday and spent about $70 ^^;;; (not as much as you Kourin mind you due to the infamous exchange rate). I set up my file at the comic store to get Ani-Ex...and I was toying with buying the NGE non-flipped, translated tank 4...but I didn't. Stopped by the bank, went to the bookstore and drooled over script books (well, just the Crouching Tiger one...$40 o.o;;). Saw an interesting book on anime that I hadn't read yet...will try and acquire via library channels. I did see a copy of the "Sei Shonagon's Pillow Book", but the edition was crappily glossed. I'm going to try and inquire along certain channels as to which edition is correctly glossed (the one I read was out of print, in two volumes...one the text, the other the notes and appendices ^^;;).

Gah...I hate hate hate latex gloves ;_;. I wore a pair for about 10 minutes on Friday, and I was feeling the effect on Saturday. I'm not sure if was my skin acting up, or an allergic reaction, but I'm guessing the latter. Buying a tube of Desitin was the most important thing I did this weekend.

Sat a practice MCAT on Sunday...o.o;; did nothing productive (except AnC chara summaries) after I finished. It was the AACS practice #3 (a roommate is trying to sell her books, and I can use them until she sells them ^_-)...I passed all of the sections, but the score is still not quite at my target level...I'll spend this week reviewing biology systems, etc.

Too many people to e-mail o.o;; Let's see if this week I can knock the numbers down a bit ^^;;;
