Thursday, July 18, 2002 [link] 06:33 p.m. listening to: "Suna no Hoshii" (Sandy Planet) - The Second Donut: Trigun 2nd OST FFX ramble! This one will probably be short, because I only played about two hours today. I seem to have acquired an airship! This makes me happy. I am now on the way to rescue Yuna from being married to Seymour. I like Cid. His stubborn, belligent attitude reminds me of Cid Highwind from FF7. In fact, his voice is the one I would have assigned to Cid Highwind. He's the kind of guy that you'd imagine chewing on an unlit cigarette. Or a cigar. It's wonderful to see Wakka acting human again. Not that I disliked him or anything, but there were a couple moments I wanted to smack him up the head. I laughed, when Lulu told him, "It's called a wedding dress." But, oh, I could have hit him, him and his fireworks! Poor Rikku. Poor, poor Rikku. Although admittedly, the only thing I could think, when I saw Home blown up, was, "Ack! I left a treasure chest in there!" I cried, when I found out the consequences of summoning the Final Aeon; why the summoners embark on their pilgrimage, what they have to sacrifice. Even the prissy, arrogant Dona--I don't think I can hate her now, or even dislike her, knowing what she chose. I wonder, is this how Braska died? It had to have been, defeating Sin all those years ago. And what about that other summoner you meet, Belgemine? Was she unable to look death squarely in the eye, that time she faced Sin? So many questions. I want the answers. I am rapidly approaching that point where I want to buy that PS2 just so I can play FFX over and over again. Wednesday, July 17, 2002 [link] 10:11 p.m. listening to: "If I had $1000000" - Barenaked Ladies I fixed my blog today! It doesn't validate quite yet; there's one more thing I need to fix. But my brain is dead from the tedious coding, so I'll leave that for tomorrow. I'm such a bad little girl. Wednesday, July 17, 2002 [link] 07:14 p.m. listening to: "Crash into Me" - Dave Matthews Band This isn't directed at anyone in particular. It's just something I need to vent about, very quickly. I don't fucking care if you don't understand why I don't want my picture taken. I don't fucking care if you think I'm too jumpy and too paranoid when there are five people around me with cameras. Respect my goddamn wishes and leave me the hell alone. Thank you, and have a nice day! That is not to say that I will completely avoid cameras. If you're a really close friend of mine that I think deserves or needs a picture of me, then yeah, you're welcome to snap one. All others, go the hell away. Wednesday, July 17, 2002 [link] 06:54 p.m. listening to: "The Space Between" - Dave Matthews Band Kevin called and cancelled the tutoring session, which brought me great displeasure. **grumps** And now, some randomness. Yuki Eiri is dead sexy. He can call say I'm zero talented any day. Mika is also dead sexy. She can kidnap me from class/rehearsal/whatever any day. I am in love with Kiros Seagill. He is fascinating to watch in battle. The way he starts kneeling, the way he sways, the way he moves like a dancer, a quick one-two with his blades. And he's sarcastic, too! God, I love him. I do not use my index finger and my middle finger on the mouse. I use my middle finger and my ring finger. I don't know when I started this, and I have no desire to correct it. Mostly because I tried using my index finger to left-click just now and it was awkward and uncomfortable as all hell. Final Fantasy 8 is a lot easier and a lot more fun the second time through, when you actually know what the hell you're doing. I am in no, way, shape or form like Integral Hellsing. Just so you all know that. CDs make really, really good coasters. And now, some not-so-random! Walker: Actually, not only is popping your pimples really gross, it also leaves scars. And not washing your face is also really gross, IMO; I mean, what would your hands be like if you didn't wash them for days and days and days? What if you didn't brush your teeth for days and days and days? Not washing your face is just like that. Wednesday, July 17, 2002 [link] 01:56 p.m. listening to: nothing Waiting for my ride. I'm supposed to be tutoring today. Hopefully this means I get to play some FFX, too. Gawd, I'm FFX-deprived this summer. **whimper** Maybe I should just get my PS2 already. I have the money, I've just been holding off. "What if I want it for something else?" That kind of thing. Jasmine made the very good point that it'd be a helluva lot cheaper if they just put a picture of a dog in the yearbook, because it costs money just to sit and have them take your picture. Good fucking Lord, I have to say that I'm going to refuse to pay money to sit for a picture I don't even want taken in the first place. So, tomorrow morning, I call the school and ask them if it's okay that I put a picture of my mouse in the yearbook. Or no picture at all, should it please them so. Wednesday, July 17, 2002 [link] 01:21 p.m. listening to: "Bodhisattva Cathedral" - Raid: Hellsing OST Woohoo, there is a Hellsing character selector!
Well, that's. . . nice. Tuesday, July 16, 2002 [link] 10:04 p.m. listening to: nothing I missed my senior portraits today! Which is just as well, because I felt like crap the entire day and wouldn't have been a very good subject anyway. Fuck. I really don't want to take my senior pictures. I'm not planning on buying them anyway. I mean, crap, look at all that money! Maybe I can convince them to put a picture of a dog in the yearbook instead. Or, as Raitha suggested, a hamster! That'd be much more interesting to look at. Tuesday, July 16, 2002 [link] 05:20 p.m. listening to: nothing I'm having one of those "WOOHOO, I'M IN EXCRUCIATING PAIN!" days. And of course my dad pesters me this morning to, you know, not be quite so sedentary and get out, move around, hey, why don't we go shopping for new shoes? This results in my being rather snarly and cranky, but fortunately my father is a very understanding man about these kinds of things. I bet he's the sort of guy who used to run out to the store at 3 AM to buy tampons. Now I'm making dinner! Yay. Monday, July 15, 2002 [link] 04:18 p.m. listening to: "Dona Dona" - Joan Baez I started a new FF8 game today. Would you believe me if I told you I never beat the final boss? Ultimecia kicked my ass thoroughly every single time. I ended up watching my cousin beat the game instead. I am so lame. My pitiful excuse is that I didn't level my characters correctly because, uh, I didn't realize she'd yank characters randomly. That sucked. So bored lately. Should really do my homework. Sunday, July 14, 2002 [link] 08:09 p.m. listening to: "Anna Begins" - Brown Derbies My life is boring. That is all. Actually, no, that's not all. WHY, CLAMP? WHY MUST YOU MAKE PEDOPHILIA LOOK CUTE??? **sob** Friday, July 12, 2002 [link] 04:18 p.m. listening to: "King of Spain (live)" - Moxy Fruvous I downloaded Opera today, on a whim. Wow, the world sure does look. . . different, from a standards-compliant browser. Amazingly enough, my blog does not look like crap on Opera. My website is illegible for reasons I have yet to determine, but I already knew this because Jasmine told me. Rebecca, your blog is completely unreadable in Opera. It's not even funny, it's so messed up. Walker, your blog is readable, but the sidebars are slightly mutilated. Kaie, your blog is not unreadable, but it looks really messed up. Everyone else's blog looks fine, so far as I can tell. A little bit different, but not horrendously so. This is really neat. Right now, I have Opera configured to kill all pop-up windows. I'm also refusing all cookies, but this is mostly just to see what happens. So far, it doesn't seem to be impairing me. But what I really like is how Opera opens different windows within the browser instead of opening different browser windows. This saves a lot of space. And it's not a resource whore, like Internet Explorer! I think that from now on, I will keep one IE window open and one Opera window open, instead of two IE browsers. I think I'll also code in Opera from now on. Whee! Friday, July 12, 2002 [link] 01:16 p.m. listening to: "Love Set Fire" - Moxy Fruvous Walker: No problem. Need. Next. Installment. Of. Boy Meets Boy. Now. **foams** Thursday, July 11, 2002 [link] 03:33 p.m. listening to: nothing Rachel: You know that Hellsing trailer you downloaded? It's on the Pioneer trailer DVD I grabbed on a whim at AX. I was under the impression it was a trailer for the first season, but apparently it's not. But it contains scenes from the first season. Huh. Weird. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens. There was another entry today, for those of you who are fanatical about this kind of thing. Check the archives. |
