Can I say that today was not the best of days? I lie. It turned out to be pretty good. Well, I started the day off thinking that I was going to have three tests and an essay due. I studied for two tests and didn't do the essay, thinking that I would just e-mail the thing to Ms. Conklin before twelve tonight. Anyway, first period, I take my physics test. I don't think I got an F this time. Second period rolls around, and Conklin is absent. So, I'll just do my draft tonight. We got to watch Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. I think it's pretty funny. Ms. Gedeon, however, thought that AP students are the stupidest because we'll laugh at anything. It's true. "Heads...heads....heads...heads." Hahahahaha. "We have rapiers and rape." Hahahahaha. I have a feeling that people laugh just so they're not left out.

Anyway, I did have a third period Experiencing God test. However, my calculus test is actually tomorrow. Yay. One and a half days of class at it's Thanksgiving.

On another note, I found out that someone copied my pita. Does this look familiar?. The fag didn't even have the decency to upload the image to his own server. It's still linked to my AOL account. Hmm, I think I'm going to play a nasty little trick on him. That would be funny.

Anyway, back to my life. College crunch time has come. I think I find out if I got into Tulane tomorrow. I'm not sure. Deadlines never happen on time with me. The University of California app is due in ten days. Maybe I'll do that after this.

To say the least, this has been an interesting week.

I last left you with the suspense of my SAT scores. Let's just say that the Princeton Review did not do its job.

Tuesday was Election Day. That was quite exciting. I stayed up until two in the morning for Gore to give his concession speech. That never happened, so my vigil was fruitless. And I'm still waiting.

We had a minimum day on Wednesday because of parent-teacher conferences. Nicky invited a bunch of the class to The Grinch premiere at Universal. Val and I went together because we always do. It was pretty fun: a whole bunch of teenage girls screaming for some hot guy on the green carpet. If you watch the whole one hour of the premiere here on Entertainment Tonight Online, you can hear us screaming for Bryan McKnight. The celebrity turnout wasn't that great. Okay, it was okay: Jim Carrey, Molly Shannon, Melissa Joan Hart, Soleil Moon Frye (Punky), Ethan Erickson (Very hot guy, but we didn't know who he was at the time), Eddie Murphy, that Simon guy from Seventh Heaven, and Malcolm from Malcolm in the Middle. We then had dinner at Buca's and then watched The Grinch. It was pretty good, very heart-warming.

We had no school on Thursday. I don't remember what I did.

We had school today, which is ridiculous because today is Veteran's Day. Anyway, my sister and I went to Citywalk after school on one of those spur of the moment trips. We decided to watch Charlie's Angels. It was actually pretty good. Maybe I'm being biased because Lucy Liu is one of my favorite actresses. The script was kind of tacky...

I got a new pair of sunglasses at Fossil. Yay for me.

I am so nervous. You have no idea how fast my heart is beating. You know that oldies song about "Mr. Postman please bring me a letter?" I'm waiting for the postman to bring my damn SAT I scores. The mail truck is actually directly across the street. But I don't see that guy anywhere.

I actually took SAT IIs today. I don't think I did too well. I was coughing throughout most of it. I've told myself that they don't really matter, but UC schools count is as much as they do the SAT Is. I took three today. I finished the test close to one o'clock.

Valeda and I went to Louise's after the test. We honestly did not want to go home. For weeks I've been waiting for my test scores to come. And we waited at Louise's because we dreaded seeing them.

Today was another bittersweet day in Danielle's life. The last 10K Walk of my high school career, the day brought a tear to my eye. However, I'm glad that I never have to walk another one of those again. I won't miss the blisters or the thirst, but maybe I'll miss the hot dogs and the dancing on the quad. I'll miss the unanimous fatigue and the excitement of getting money in the mail. Next year, I won't be there. And that's what gets me.

Life has been ridiculously hectic this past month. The whole college application, senior year melee has exploded in my face. Life works in mysterious ways, and I guess I'll get in where I'm supposed to get in. Hey, if they don't want me, I don't want them.

I sent off my first college application yesterday: Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Did you know that the legal drinking age in Louisiana is eighteen? Well, that's not why I want to go there. Actually, Tulane has been my goal since my sophomore year of high school. I have no idea why. I love New Orleans, but I don't really think that justifies me wanting to spend four years there. I think it's the whole Mardi Gras thing. All my friends have vowed to come and visit me if I go there. Oh yeah, the food there is great. I'd probably end up gaining freshman fifty. By the way, I find out if I get in on November 21st. Wish me luck.

On another note, I got in to California State University, Northridge. I now have a back-up-back-up school. Our world is such an instant gratification world. My parents and I showed up at CSUN at 5:52 PM and I turn in my application. At 7:01 PM, I find out that I got in. It's something called instant admission...the wonders of the modern world.

Anyway, the 10K walk is tomorrow. I think I should get rested up.
