I see your shadow on the street now
I hear you push through the rusty gate
Click of your heels on the concrete
Waiting for a knock coming way too late
It seems an age since I've seen you
Countdown as the weeks trickle into days
So you come in and put your bags down
I know there's something in the air
How can I do this to you right now
If you're over there when I need you here
My happiness is slowly creeping back
Now you're at home
If it ever starts sinking in
It must be when you pack up and go

I have yet to send my Statement of Intent to Register or my deposit to my intended school. I probably should do that today because Georgetown doesn't have a postmarked deadline. I'm sitting at my computer desk surounded by Georgetown paraphernalia. It's amazing how much propaganda can buy a person.
Anyway, I had a really nice trip to the East. We spent a large chunk of time in New Jersey before we went to D.C., but New Jersey's great because they have no sales tax on clothes! I think the same is true for Pennsylvania and Delaware. I'm glad I was rejected from Penn; I'd be broke if I had gone there. There's this really cool outlet in Philadelphia called Franklin Mills, and it has almost everything a shopper could ask for. Damn, I sound like an airhead. Question: Why is the Abercrombie & Fitch in Georgetown just called Abercrombie? What happened to the Fitch?
I think there's some kind of competition between Marisa and me for attention from Mike. He thought it was weird that Marisa and I were in Washington, D.C. in the same week. It's funny that in December we thought we were never going to see each him again. Marisa and Mike had dim sum on Easter Sunday. May I add that both thought it was really bad. I wonder if he's tired of us yet. On the following Wednesday, we went to dinner in Georgetown with Vanessa and my mom. It was a little weird, but my parents didn't trust him with the two sisters. Yeah, right.
Anyway, I really am not going to college because of a guy. I applied to Georgetown because of The Exorcist and other external factors. I'm going to Georgetown because everything inside of me and everything around me says that that's where I belong.
