I'm back from the Animax Carnival/pRO War of Emperium Launch! What can I say? Hmm.
The whole thing was somewhat...um...messy. There was no solid announcement of the schedule of events (if there was, I couldn't hear it over the general din), and the venue was too small to accomodate the sheer amount of people who went, especially the WoE launch--practically half the people who came went for the WoE booth! My sister and I didn't get in, even though we were there even before G4 opened, but we got to watch the view from the balconies.
Aside from that, the Animax Carnival was okay. I saw a lot of goodies in there, particularly posters, the newest issue of CCCom and poring plushies (I wanted one, but they cost Php 200, and all my savings have been wiped out by a certain author already). I got a glimpse of the .hack//legend of twilight director and I was half-hoping Astro Boy would have a rocket-powered ass *cough* The cosplay was cool (who won? There was this girl in the elevator I was trapped in who was dressed in Final Fantasy gear...) and some of the drawings over at the pRO board were nice.
(Oh, and there was this girl with an earring like Fujiyama Ran's--was that you, Maki? You said something about that, I think.)
Now, if you'll excuse me, there's a Gundam Wing draft calling my name.

Happy 1st anniversary, chomark! *huggles blog*
I actually started blogging February 8, 2003, with Blogger being my first tool. Then, when I felt confident enough with my HTML skills, I moved to Pitas. I've tried other blogging tools, but Pitas is still my fave. Livejournal is a close second, though ;)
To celebrate the occasion:
Name meme!
If you call me descartes, then you've read my blog or have encountered me on the 'Net.
If you call me The Poisoned Pen, then you read my LotR fanfiction.
If you call me Rachel, then you know me in RL.
If you call me butch, then you're Danton.
If you call me Rachel-sama, then you're Nikka.
If you call me onii-chan, then you're that Fleming kid who I bug about 1x2x1.
If you call me Anthony, then you're a Ragnarok Online player.
If you call me Mark Lawrence, then you've friended me on Friendster.
If you call me stereotypicalseme, then I've just insulted you on Quesci Online.
Well. That was a lot of names ^_^ I'm just pleased because Ching visited me.

I have a new mouse! It has a scroll wheel! I'm so proud! (Everyone else: *backs away slooowly*)
Ramblings, so that my head won't explode from too much thinking:
Naruto: Current favorite character is Sasuke, even if I have only watched one ep (come to think of it, it was less than one episode...) I keep forgetting to watch it, and even if I remember, my sister doesn't approve ^^; so I am unable to form a decent opinion of the series. NarutoxSasuke is rather obvious, though.
Count Cain: I miss this manga. No one 'ships Alex with Cain and/or Riff *sighs* Suddenly I want to do a crossover. Badly.
Gundam Wing: There are no words to express my obsession. Except maybe 80+ megs of fic in my hard drive.
Wish: Somehow this series interests me. Maybe it's because Xandra said it was the most romatic series she ever read. I'm not very surprised, even with considering that the makers are CLAMP, the masters of twisted relationships and all.
Love Actually: I am in love with this movie. And with Alan Rickman's Snape-ish mannerisms. And with the two porn stars. And with the opening and ending sequences. And with Colin Firth learning Portuguese. And with Hugh Grant boogeying. And with the airport sequence. In fact, I'm in love with everything with this movie (heck, I even fell in love with the catchphrase that went, "Coming soon actually"). I want the soundtrack badly. Can the MTRCB folks die a horrible, excruciatingly tortuous death for giving this an R-18? Thanks much.
The Butterfly Effect: I haven't watched this movie, but I think it's actually a screwed up psych test. Or an extended gore-filled fanfic. Maybe both.
Gackt: I've d/l-ed some of his songs, but my favorite is still the one A-chan recommended, Vanilla. My copy of Moon Child wasn't very high-quality, and the one with the Japanese title (starts with 'Kimi' and has the initials of KNTNDK, I think ^^;) is not quite as good as Vanilla.
Yeah, okay, I'll shut up now. Will be watching 50 First Dates soon, mostly because Sean Astin's in it. Blame the worship on Danton. Love ya, dude.

Even though I still can't make a decent layout after my hiatus, here is the talented Mr. McGregor for layer one of Petit Mort (yes, I've changed teh blog's name; don't ask). Looks best in IE5+, but works in all resolutions. Font's kinda small, so please be kind as to tell me if it's illegible, so that I can fix it.
So what happened during my long absence? Well, aside from affirming that I have been living under a rock this past school year, I have also refuelled my Gundam Wing obsession with VCDs, MP3s, too many fanfiction and hours upon end doing character analysis. I didn't watch it the first time it came to Pinoy shores, but I'm more than making up for that lack now.
I've also been spending time at the LJ, because it's shiny and wankable and easy to use. I almost gave up chomark, but as you can see, I haven't. It's too precioussss...okay, I'll stop the Gollum jokes. I'm waaaay behind on sociables (sorry to all my blogmates!) but here is a quick one before I forget:
Maki: Congratulations on your graduation and a belated happy birthday!
Mushroom: Sure, you can link to me ^_^ (Sorry for not replying earlier, by the way)
Toonami Girl: Thanks for visiting again! Hope you finish your CGT fic!
And to all those graduating soon, congrats! All of you know that I love you, right?
Ramblings next time...fuckin' 'ell, GW yaoi has officially taken over my mind!
(By the way, can someone give me a few tips on using WinMX? There's a few songs I want to d/l, but the program's not cooperating. Meh.)
