I recently started this book called, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." It was recommended to me by a friend, who said it was an absolute-must-buy book. Personally, after getting about half-way through the novel, I did not agree. In fact, the whole story seems to have nearly no plot, and it's all too real, like how the show Boston Public exaggerates certain things, so does "Wallflower." In fact, I just simply don't like it. Sorry, but it's just a plain bad book. What will save it is if the author includes an astoundingly good ending...although that seems nearly impossible at this point. The ending would REALLY have to get carthisis going, otherwise...it just seems like a bad book overall. I don't recommend it to any conservatives; it's much more liberal!

Six Words: My Friday could have been better.

Kudos for now.

Ick, ack, and finally-ugh! I am about to kick myself repeatedly. I have been making SO many stupid mistakes lately. For Chemistry, on our test, I added instead of subtracted on one mass problem! Talk about stupidity! I am really worried that stupid mistakes will divide the good grades I deserve and the okay grades I probably will end up getting. Ick, stupid mistakes! I have an Algebra II test tomorrow, so I sincerely hope that I won't make any bad mistakes on that one. I got the quiz back from way-back-when (Mrs. Grover takes forever to grade assignments) and I got a 95%, again, due to stupid mistakes. I am just hoping that Diederichsen curves the Chem test, and that the extra credit will help me! Kudos for now.

I have made a few changes to the blog. I decided to add the Official Harry Potter movie as a link. To wrap up my day, let's just leave it at three, simply understandable words: I hate Mondays. There...all's said and done. Can you believe the CIA has been given the power to um-kill Osama bin Laden? Isn't that weird? I never thought the President had the power to grant an organization the right to kill someone. Doesn't seem like it's mentioned in the Constitution, or maybe it's just me. Kudos for now.

Weekends should be proclaimed national holidays! There are the ultimate stress-reliever. Always good for the stressed, college-bound student. Anyway, I have so much in my mind right now. All these tests are coming up next week, and I just hate having more than one test to prepare for in a week. Next week should be Algebra II Chapter Four, Chemistry Unit Two, and AP History Unit Three. Ick, I hate matrices and determinants. Just like the rest of Algebra, if you screw up on a negative sign or something, everything else is wrong. Chemistry isn't too bad, and I am banking on this next test to raise my grade. My largest worry is AP History. I can usually handle the multi-choice well, but not those stinking essays. Mr. Sikkenga is probably one of my better teachers this year... As for those of you wondering if when I'm going to archive, I plan on doing so next weekend. I barely ever update on the weekdays, so I AM ALWAYS ONLINE on the weekends! *Oooh, I have nearly 700 hits!* Kudos for now.

It's another late post. I just wanted to reply to Tara-Chan's post in my guestbook. I am glad you like the lay-out, especially since Emma was encouraging me to change it. I am so happy to hear that someone out of the US reads the blog. Out of curiosity, is it North Korea or South Korea that you reside in?

It's nice that people can respond through my guestbook! It's there for a reason! I have had such a great weekend! Nothing too terribly bad happened. Since I got my Level 1 License, I have been driving everywhere! It's so fun! I nearly backed into the neighbor's tree this evening when I was pulling out of the drive way. Too bad I have neglected my homework in the process. Boy, am I going to pay the price tomorrow! It's probably going to be one of those last minute rushes. Kudos for now!

Yeah, I know it's late, but I feel like posting. I just finished watching a segment of CNN's Headline News. I cannot believe the US sent in ground troops. It was completely an unecessary move. Has Congress declared war? No. Has President Bush done anything to notify the American public besides just saying, "Oh, it's going to be a long war, and uh...it's going to be a war on terrorism." Could he be any more vague? I have to say, this war of terrorism idea is so general. Did the Taliban actually go out and commit this crime (note: it was not an act of war) with their resources. Far as we know, no! In fact, the Taliban has done nothing but not cooperate with US officials. Yet, we go and bomb them, and now, send in ground troops. Let's just say for the moment that you were in the Afghanistan Tablian's shoes. Wouldn't you fight back in this given scenario? I think it is human nature to. But, in spite of all of this, President Bush still suddenly finds the time to leave the country (while we're fighting "terrorism") and talk to the Chinese President. Now, I don't mean to diss Jiang Zemin, but shouldn't he get some new glasses? Anyway, even if the US and China are on a "side by side" stance against terrorism, how is that going to help our war? China has already asked the US to resolve this in peace. For once, I think the Chinese government is right. Ahhhh, the venting felt good. Note: added the huge END. Kudos for now...

YES! I love the weekends. In general, this week was very nasty for me, especially in the academic field. Normally being the great quarterback, scoring A's and extra credit goals, I found myself nearly kicked off the field with harsh grading. Mr. Sikkenga must have strongly disliked my essays for AP US, for he gave me a B on the test! Then, I get a B on the Pennium Lab in Chemistry. He was very unreasonable...like we were marked down for simply not putting the istopes of hydrogen in the right order! Shaw loved my Beowulf paper; I scored the highest in all AP classes but hated my timed writing on the Canterbury Tales, because she gave me an 88 on it! I was ticked at my B+ on the Algebra II test because I made some very stupid mistakes I could just kick myself for right now. Like let's say the inequality told me to graph up, and I go and graph down... Ick. Not a good week at all. We had a stupid lab in Chemistry called the black disc lab, and he actually had the nerve to grade it on accuracy, which is stupid since the lab was stupid to begin with. You had to judge patterns in a box. Stupid. I don't want to think about grades. All I know is that I have A's in my classes, and if I continue with that for the rest of the marking period, I'm going to be fine. On the romance field, I am in doubt of whether I like someone or not. It's not too much of a story. I passed my Seg 1 test yesterday...practically the ONLY thing good about this week. I got a 92%, which is good considering I couldn't concentrate with my very bad week. Driver's Ed, which was two hours of my day every weekday, took up so much time. I think my grades should be back up to where they SHOULD be soon. Ack, I just want to ENJOY the weekend! I hope everyone else has a nice one, too. Kudos for now.

Well, I actually got Algebra II done last night! It was rather complicated, and I probably made it harder on myself than it should have been. Luckily, we start matrices and determinants next week, so I have something to look forward to. Monday is a half day, so I get to enjoy about two more hours of freedom than normal. However, I drive for DE at 2:30-4:30, and then the DE classroom section is from 4:30-6:30, so I actually waste about four hours at Driver's Ed! On Monday, all sophomores take the PLAN test, which is similar to the Pre-Act. Most GHHS students take the ACT, not the SAT. According to Mrs. Shaw, students who plan on going to northeastern colleges in New England usually take the SAT, but for most GHHS students (who plan on staying in state), the ACT is often taken. As a result, the SAT is rather unpopular at GHHS. Mrs. Shaw also said GHHS won't be switching to block schedule next year! YAY! The faculty voted at a meeting on Wednesday night, and the block schedule LOST! Whoo-hoo! I was against block since the beginning. Emma plans on coming over on Monday, which will end up taking even more time than I planned. She has to leave at 2:30 for a dentist appointment (isn't that a coincedence with DE?). Anyway, the remaining amount of homework, which is VERY MUCH, calls. Sarah, have fun at Homecoming! Kudos for now.

THE WEEKEND IS HERE! Sorry for not updating much at all this week. With Driver's Ed comes a definite shortage of time. Time is so precious, but I don't have any! In response to the strikes and this new war on terrorism, I have added a nice, peaceful reminder of NONVIOLENCE. Now, more than ever, our nation needs to realize these heavy duty air strikes on Bin Laden's regieme in Afghanistan are wrong. Violence, I continue to believe, will solve nothing. Nothing will be solved if we continue to show Afghanistan that we do not want diplomacy. Our needs should be peace...not fighting. School has been on and off, good and bad this week. Some of my fears have surpassed, yet others have been revived...such as the AP US test and the AP Comp Beowulf paper! Ick, I should get them back on Monday. :( Okay, I really should do something to cheer me up this weekend! I live in fear everyday! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Way too much stress...

There are SO many things to say. Today marks the end of the weekend, unfortunately. I'm at Emma's house...again, all she ever talks about is popularity and "Asian" students at GHHS. It gets boring after awhile. Anyway, I have to worry about AP US History test to worry about. I know, I have gotten a few more e-mails about the people who like me. Again, I will only reply truthfully until I trust you. Too bad today is the last day of the weekend. I had so many plans. I should probably get going. Since I'm at Emma's house, I don't have the opportunity to do homework, so I can't write, "Homework calls!" Perhaps Emma will help me make a new layout, although I think the one I have right now is just fine and dandy. Kudos for now.

Ick and ack. SORRY about the late update. I have returned those promised e-mails...I did so last night. My week was so-so, altogether. I got a 45/50 on my AP test, and it was one of the higher scores of the three AP US History classes. It was another 50 question multiple choice. I was shocked to learn Ann Tayler, the girl who normally sets the curves, did not receive the highest score. I'm sure Mr. Sikkenga will post the scores sometime next week. In Driver's Ed, things have been going fairly well. I'm actually getting the hang of turning, and I have made about 8 lane changes within the last two days! They taught us this SIPDE system of driving which Mr. Lamiman stresses as the MOST important concept. Then again, he stresses many things as the MOST important. On another completely different subject, I have inclinations that THREE people might like me. One has already been confirmed as a definite yes, because she chooses to sit next to me in the only class we have together. As for the other two, they're just predictions, and probably simply more of my thoughts, although they are always online when I am (pure coincedence). I'm sure I'll get a few more e-mails from people demanding to know who these new admirers are. Well, if you're like Sarah and far away, almost impossible to do any damage, I might tell you, but if you're not, and I do tell you, consider yourself trusted with valuable info. Anyway, my weekend forecast doesn't look good. I have to make it through some icky AP Comp vocab and Algebra II homework. I'll live, just maybe not too well. And, first thing in the morning, I am looking forward to AP US History essays on Monday! Ick, I'd rather not think about that now. Enjoy the weekend while it's here. Our next actual break is a half day on the 15th. Goodness, that seems so far away. GHAPS should be more sensitive to students' feelings on breaks! The US is sending troops to Uzbekistan, sorry for the spelling mishap, which I am totally against. Sure, Pres Bush doesn't even bother with diplomacy. Whatever happened to the elementary saying, "Violence never solves anything." Bush certainly ignored it. Oh well, I'll try not to let my anger get the best of me so I won't punch the television. Bad idea...again, homework calls. Kudos for now.

To the dozens of you who decided to send me e-mails about who this mystery person was and concerning Homecoming, esp Sarah, I will respond soon. With the start of Driver's Ed, I have terribly busy. That already occupies two hours of the day, out of so few! Once I reach the weekend, all or most of you should have reply e-mails from me. I have an AP US History test (again?!) this Friday and Monday. Luckily, I still have the weekend to study for those essays. Yet, with DE and other homework, I do not exactly have much studying time if I still want a few precious hours of sleep. Generally, for the weekend, Homecoming went well (to answer your questions). I danced and drank, completely unwinding what usually is a rather tight life. It was fun, but I was very tired afterwards (around midnight). I got compliments about my nice, shimmering blue tie, and I found the dance really fun. Now, if you want specific people whom I danced with, that info is for e-mails! Academically, the week is so far so good. Instead of answering each individual e-mail (lack of time), I'm just going to have people refer to the blog for now. I think someone spiked the punch because I had so much energy but felt so tired at the same time. Hey, don't get any ideas. Despite what you may think, I don't do drugs. Anyway, that was Homecoming in a brief summer. I have to go to Driver's Ed now! Note: archived previous entries. Kudos for now!
