HAPPY FRIDAY! Please heed to the guestbook signing request.
I am going to see the Miracle Worker at 8:00 PM today. It is a student-run play about Helen Keller. I heard it is REALLY good. This weekend is going to be rather rstressful. I have tons of examens proxima semana. However, I got an A on my Chemistry test, doing great, great things for my Chemistry grade. In Algebra, I completely forgot to set my quadratic equation to zero! I was so furious! I do still think I got an A, just probably not the 100% I deserved. Also, today the Harry Potter movie was released! Yay! Go Dumbledore! I am going to see the movie on Wednesday, the 21st.
I went to the Hope College Visting Writer's Conference last night from about six to nine, including the nasty commute to Holland. There, I was mistaken for a college student. Do I look that old? Have I lost that much of my childhood innocence?! Come on! I am only 14 years old! Since when did I look four, five years older than I really am? Note: I added the link to Colorgenics.
Kudos for now!

DEMAND:All vistors PLEASE sign the guestbook! I really want to know who is coming and going, especially if I do not know you! Thanks!
Okay, so my day went well. In fact, it was really good! I think I did well on my Chemistry test...one more test tomorrow: Algebra II. Well, I finally pulled up my grade to an A. Therefore, this test strongly affects my grade! So much homework! I have to study, and I am going to attend an extra credit thing for AP Comp at the Knickerbocker Theater in Holland. So, tons to do...so little time. Kudos for now.

Can you believe it? My grades are doing so well today. Yay! This is so great! However, I doubt that it will stay that way with the Chemistry test tomorrow. Plus, I have an Algebra II Chapter 5 test Friday, in addition to a Spanish oral performance tomorrow. However, half the week is over, so I am so close to the weekend. There are only a few more days until Thanksgiving break! I cannot wait.
Everyone knows I love Harry Potter. Did anyone see him on TRL yesterday? By him, I mean Daniel Radcliff, the main actor who portrays Harry. He seemed really nervous, as if he did not know what to say. Then again, I do not have the greatest public speaking skills either. Still, if he's an actor, he should know what he's doing. *Too much homework.* Kudos for now.

Have you heard about China and Taiwan entering the WTO? Personally, I think it is very political that Taiwan enter right after China. It's all very controversial. China considers Taiwan a renegade province, yet Taiwan desires its independence. What the big fuss is about...I truly have no clue. As for everything else, my weekend went fairly well. This upcoming school week is one of those huge "tests/quizzes" week, so I really have to study my butt off if I want to keep my 4.333. Anyway, I have been prone to late posts recently, haven't I? GTG. Just thought I'd update you on life! Kudos for now.

Wow. Another late night post. You should read what Emma wrote about me in her blog. It's so nice to be appreciated. Anyway, I am a pretty good Friday. After all, things were abnormally well. I had apparently nothing to worry about. Also, my grades are up to par, except for Algebra II, but for today, I felt as if the B would increase with time...which isn't necessarily true. Then again, I'm not going to cause myself worry fits like all the other times. I also do not have too much homework this weekend! YAY! I think this calls for celebration. Plus, the fact that Thanksgiving Break is only about a week and half away also adds to the excitement! I can't wait for turkey day! Two full days off from the pressures of high school. I actually should be doing productive things right now instead of chatting with my friends and such, but...nah. My day went really well, as I explained above. I am pretty sure I aced my Spanish quiz, especially since it was rather facil. For the Science Olympiad HS team, I have to fill out this registration form, which I would normally not mind. However, the form asks for all the events I've practiced in and the ranks I got in them! One simple question:How am I supposed to remember? As for everything else in life, besides homework, school and the Olympiad, I am fine. My throat is a bit scratchy, but that will probably go away. On the national front: did anyone see President Bush's speech on Homeland Security Thursday night??? He said that the enemy did not allow women an education...a statement I found particularly bothersome, for I am a democrat and against the war in the first place. Anyway, not all terrorists are in Afghanistan. Just because we bomb them, and hypothetically speaking, we kill bin Laden, what is to guarantee that the crimes of international injustice won't happen again? Nothing...really. In fact, wouldn't it provoke the anti-Americans even more? Maybe it's all in my head. Happy Friday, and kudos for now.

Yes, I know it's late...but that's what high school life is all about. I was up tonight doing some AP US History reading. I might as well get it done now instead of dragging it to this weekend. Now, I only have a few pages left. Anyway, I just saw of this advertisement on WZZM 13. They're giving away HP movie tickets! YAY! I so want to enter the contest. Yet, the WZZM 13 readers, if that's what you want to call 'em, only want twenty-five words! I was originally thinking this five page paper on how HP excites the imagination. I don't know if I can handle twenty-five words, which is about the length of your average entry. That is way too short, but I guess I don't have to write a thesis paper on the thing! Way too tired...BTW, I got my first marking period report card: All A's, G.P.A.:4.333! YAY! Kudos for now.

I'm not in the mood to deal with writing, but I guess I should anyways. I got an 88 on my Algebra II quiz, so that nearly destroyed the day. On the only quiz I was relying on to bring up my grade (I studied too), I get an 88. Plus, the stupid mistakes I made were all so simple that she did not have to take off one every single time I made it! I just thought it was kind of mean. I should not blame the grade on her, because I knew what I was doing, it's just I did not follow through on my thoughts. Ick, don't talk to me...bad mood alert. I don't have too much homework tonight, except for researching inner/outer circle discussion. Kudos for now.

Wow. I have more than eight-hundred hits. That is so cool...yet probably four-hundred are mine. LOL. For English, (AP COMP) the classes are doing an "inner/outer" circle discussion. Already a waste of time, the class is becoming more wasted with this discussion. BTW, the discussion is over MacBeth, a tragedy by the great William Shakespeare. So, because of i/o circle, I went to the library during lunch to check out something on MacBeth, but they did not have a single thing! So much for working ahead. I think I will probably go to B&N or Warner Baird sooner. In addition, everybody has been doing REALLY bad on the latest Alg II quiz. So bad that it's really been dropping grades. If only Mrs. Grover would give our quizzes back faster; I really want to know what I got! While all of this is happening, I know I got one question wrong on the pop quiz in Chemistry, but it was a minor mistake, and I doubt it will really affect my grade. Too much homework! PS- for all the people who actually read this, I am 99% I'm doing Science Olympiad this year! YAY!Kudos for now.

I still have a B in Algebra II...a B which I totally do not deserve, mind you. Way too much is going on right now. I just need a few hours to sort everything out. That B better not stay that way at the end of the semester. I got an A in AP US History, so I guess that's good. Last weekend was spent doing homework. Also, because of Ambassador's Club, I had to go volunteer to watch little kids on Saturday morning. Man, they have too much energy. I got to hold the door open, so in all actuality, the Ambassadors that went to this pre-school concert really did not do anything. The guy who was performing, Justin Roberts, was some kind of country freak, so that did not make it any better. Also, you'll be happy to know that everything with that whole jealousy thing...read back a few entries...is better. A apologized because she realized her faults, and things have improved since then. Other than that, the weekend was rather uneventful. The middle school kids have half day for conferences (don't you remember ms? Wasn't that fun?!). Because of half days, we got home extra early since we didn't have to make the trip to the other school. Anyway, I know this entry might seem like a bunch of run-on thoughts, but I have homework, and I'm doing this as fast as possible. Kudos for now.

Goodness. My life is so messed up right about...now. I sincerely wish I could be happy on a Friday. Yet, all the fields of life are desparately grief-stricken. I learned Thursday night that I have a B in Algebra II. Really, it is not my fault, but Mrs. Grover decided to grade the warm ups for accuracy, a thing she never does. Anyway, it should be brought up by January. In addition to thgat annoying B I cannot get out of my mind, I have tons and tons of homework this weekend. Never a healthy thing. In addition to that, I am having some troubles with a good friend. We'll call this friend A for purposes of discretion. A is going out with someone, and our views completely clash on dating. I know I am probably going to get tons of hate mail after this, but I am opposed to dating. A does not agree, and things have gone downhill from there. I just hope things can be solved soon, because A is a very emotional person. Homework needs to get done...I just wish my Friday could have been better. Thanks to everyone who signed the book! Kudos for now.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! BOO! Part of me wishes I could go out and trick-or-treat, but that sometimes seems so childish! Besides, I have tons of homework! Anyway, today during lunch was aggravating. This person is obviously jealous of me; I won't get into detail, but I think I'm probably going to another lunch table for the rest of the school year. Besides that, the dia escolar wasn't too bad! I think I did well in AP US History...we had a test. Everyone have fun with their pounds of candy! Kudos for now.

Boy, do I feel like crap today. When I got up, I had so much energy...who know's why? Anyway, then I tried putting in my left contact, and for some odd reason, it hurt, and it made my eye red! My goodness, so then, irritated and sleepy, I switched pairs, even though I was only about a week into my old pair, thinking everything would be alright if I switched into a new pair. After switching them, it certainly didn't hurt anymore, but the left eye was blurred out! I was mad by this point, outraged at my stupid left eye. It didn't help in Health Class when Mr. Richardson put up notes in his nasty handwriting and I was in the back of the room, squinting to make out his letters! After Health, I had an icky headache that hasn't left. Try graphing quadratics with a maiming headache. Tomorrow is the hardest AP US test of the semester! Gotta go study. Kudos for now.
Thanks to everyone who signed my guestbook! I appreciate the encouragement!

Note: Archieved earlier entries.
So, anyway, I am nearing the end of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." Even now, I don't think the book is worth recommending anyone. I have to speak to my friend and DEMAND what was up with this poor recommendation. First, it was too liberal for my tastes; it exaggerated the problems of the teenagers today. It also had no plot and seemed random! As of now, I wouldn't even bother putting it on my "So-So, Books You Should Probably Read in your Spare Time" list. What a waste of paper.
Did you hear about the bombing of a Red Cross Center in Afghanistan? And to think the US did it? Talk about odd... You would think that with all the advanced technology we brag about as a nation that we could avoid such mistakes. Another BAD THING about the War on Terrorism. Good thing no one was harmed. Kudos for now.Den wrote on Sunday, October 28, 2001 at 12:39 a.m.
