MOOD: Flustered
Too much AP...Not enough time.
Kudos for now.

MOOD:AP Rush
I know I shouldn't be this worried about AP exams. Then again--all they do is decide how much college credit I get, how much I have learned all year, how much less my parents have to pay for tuition, how much I love English and History, how much I have worked for all along...no, they really aren't tests--more like torture. Each AP exam is approximately three hours in length, with both multiple choice and essay. Out of the two exams, I am most worried of AP English, for I feel like I haven not prepared, have not even studied...there is this odd helpless feeling. For AP US, I am not too worried, unless specific, nitty-gritty dates come into play. I would like fours on both exams, but I doubt I will get that in English. If I don't post ever after Thursday and Friday, you all will know what happened. Anyways, enough of my worries.
Brenna, what makes you think "but it's ridiculous to get that preoccupied with something he knows he can excel at?" Why is that ridiculous?
Kudos for now.

MOOD:Kinda Late...
Thank you, Alli, for the nice honor. Experimental Design is a wonderful event, and it is a pleasure to compete in it. Yes, it may sound like I'm accepting an Oscar, but oh well, Science Olympiad is even better than that.
Oh, and interestingly enough: the team which took second in the HS Division last Saturday (Division C) was Plymouth Christian, but after some incorrect scoring in the event Dynamic Planet, PC was bumped down, and the team which had originally placed fifth, Troy HS, took PC's second place. As a result, Grand Haven's teams will not be going with Plymouth Christian, but Troy HS, based in Detroit.
Bret: Here's another ick about AP English. We got our presentation grades back, and I got an A-. Well, her "rubric" was this checklist of criteria. I received all checkmarks except one and got an A-, whereas dozens of my friends still had two/three blanks left and got the exact same grade I got. Does that sound fishy to you? I still have to talk Mrs. Shaw about it. I just hope I write a killer, pro-Shaw non-fiction paper!
I did not do too well on the final AP US History test. I have this goal of setting the high on the MC (multiple choice) version of the test at least once, and the closest I have been all year is one point, one question away. The high, thanks to Elizabeth, was 46, and I got a measly 42. Drats!
AP Exams are next week...and the crunch is on! I'm so going to fail!
Kudos for now.

As expected, the Grand Haven teams did quite well on Saturday at the MSU State Tournament. Grand Haven HS took first, as did Grand Haven's Lakeshore Middle School in their division. Grand Haven's White Pines MS placed after Lakeshore, taking home a 2nd place. All three Grand Haven teams are going to Nationals in Delaware next month--the first time in history. Way to go Grand Haven SO!
Well, that was all my weekend. Kudos for now.

The countdown is in...the next couple of weeks is going to fly by, hopefully my grades will still be flying high. It's offically one day left until the Michigan Science Olympiad Tournament. Talk about nerve-racking! Egad. I have confidence in both the GH middle schools and GHHS. Delaware, the site of the National Tournament, here we come!
Because we are competing Saturday, I'm not coming home Friday, so this will be the last post in quite a while. I'll miss you all, really! Wish us luck at the State Tournament. Go GHHS.
Kudos for now.

You know, I am very impatient right now with the people in my Spanish II class. They are stupid, slow, and just don't care. All of them are friends in there, and we are slowed tremendously due to their yapping in class. If you want to yap, yap somewhere else, not in a learning environment. I feel like Spanish is such a waste of time now. It got worse second semester since all these rebellious students moved in...what once was a subject I enjoyed has now become some regrettable waste of time.
I am, to some relief, competing for the Science Olympiad State Tournament. Whohooo! I have good feelings about competition, and I expect not only Grand Haven HS to go to Nationals, but WP and LS as well. Good luck to all.
Finally, after being down for less than a week, T35 is up again! The server is working--took 'em long enough. Remember: If T35 is not working, go to Chemokinetic, the original web journal. Kudos for now.

I have little to do for once. Juniors are "meaping," so many of my classes have come to this screeching halt. I just have AP US and Chemistry (both rather bulky amounts) for tonight!
So far, The Accidental Asian is an excellent book. I really appreciate it, probably because I can identify with it very well on a whole. When I have some time, I will enter some excerpts from the text...the ones I find most interesting.
Science Olympiad State Competition is this weekend! Eeek!
NOTE: Den.T35.Com is currently not working right now (the T35 server I believe is down). Please use Chemokinetic.Pitas.Com until further notified.
Kudos for now.

Thanks to Ross again for replying ever so dilligently in the guestbook. If any of you other frequent visitors ever want to reply, just feel free to sign the book.
Currently, I am over at Emma's house. We are going to be here for the evening, which should be fun. We, I hope, have had a great time so far. I don't believe the word far is a preposition, so I can end the sentence with it. Other than that, I need to read The Accidental Asian by Eric Liu for AP English. The next project should be something on non-fiction, and Shaw has given us a booklist to pick. It sounds good, and I believe I will be getting it from Barnes and Noble next weekend if not this one.
AP exams are less than a month away, unfortunately. I know for certain I am not going to do well on the AP English exam since I have not been prepared well enough. I am hesitant when it comes to the AP US exam, but I think I should do alright...at least I better, after all the work I have put into that class. I'm so nervous about those exams. To know that college credit depends on this makes me jittery.
BTW, I have changed the font color on the blog to a pure and distinct black. For those of you who complained it was hard to read, is it better? I hope so--otherwise, get glasses. Also, it was suggested I do some sort of funky font/color for the mood. Again, advice is taken. You see, the masses matter at Den.T35.Com.
I just checked my grades on the Parent Internet Viewer, and it looks like I did not do too hot on the Poetry Presentation. Shaw give me, or as she likes to put it, "I earned" an A-, which isn't too bad, but I expected better. I wonder who got the highest. Hmmm. It dropped my AP English grade down to a 92, the lowest grade possible for an A. Darn poetry. Kudos for now.
