I have so much stress right now. Exams are next week. So, it appears my blog may be boring...well, my life isn't that all exciting. After all, I'm certainly not going to make things up in my life! Anyway, Emma, the song is called "Hao Xiang Hao Xiang" and translates in English into something like "I want." Hope that helps. Wait--so Netscape supports the music or have you resorted to Microsoft Internet Explorer? PCG's mom says we might have an ice day on Wednesday! Come on! I really just want one more day off...a full day of sleep. GTG. Kudos for now.

I've heard complaints that my web log might be a bit too boring. Okay, one thousand and one apologies that it is...but still, my life is not that exciting! Besides, I am not going to sit around and make things about my life. It was extremely boring during break, when I just did homework for everyday...excluding Christmas and all those festive holidays. Anyway, school was a pain today. Waking up at 6:00 AM is not exactly my best time. I got A's on everything I got back, but still, I was disappointed, considering final exams for 1st semester are next week! I have so much stress. I have to do all these papers, projects...studying. Ugh. Any minute now. According to PCG's mom, a trusted school official, GHAPS might have an ice day on Wednesday! I pray that we will. I just need another full day of...sleep. Ahhhhhh.
Emma, the song is called "Hao Xiang, Hao Xiang." Does that help? Wait--so the song plays on your Netscape browser? GTG. Kudos for now.

Okay, breaking news...Apparently, the music does not work on Netscape. I just used Netscape 6.2, and I did not hear a thing. I also just checked the popular browser percentages. Microsoft Internet Explorer is viewed most, specifically 5.0, then 6.0, then AOL and so on. IE is used much more than Netscape. So, if you really want to hear the music, either download MIE, or I will bug my HTML friends again! HTML friends--music works on IE but not Netscape! Someone help me (e-mail or guestbook). Thanks again. Be patient, Netscape users! Kudos for now.

So, some of the browsers don't support the music, huh? I am using Microsoft Internet Explorer...let me check the version--6.0--and it seems to be working for me. In fact, it even works on dial-up and doesn't seem too slow. I heard this song in China, and although it brings back memories of the place, I still like the song. So, those of you who can't hear the music, or something's weird with the music, please e-mail me. It take a while for me to visit the guestbook, read, etc. although I can do that. I still prefer e-mail. Also, tell me what browser you use, including the version, especially if the music does NOT work for you. I'll compile a list, and from there, bug my HTMl friends as to how to solve the problem.
Thank you everyone who signed the guestbook! I love getting praise. However, as much as I like it, it would still be nice if I got more ways which I can improve the blog. I don't have my own server, so images aren't too much of a possiblity. If there's something in my writing that you like or dislike, make sure to tell me! My blog is not that sucessful, but I do update it often. Check out the archive to see my old layout. Anyway, thanks again to those who signed my guestbook. Seriously, it is a great thing to get feedback!
School starts tomorrow. Ugh. More 6:00 AM wake-ups instead of 10:00 AM, more homework, more homework...oh wait--even more homework. I am going to be so busy second semester. Oh well, I'll learn how to manage my time, with quick, up-to-minute updates! GTG. Kudos for now.

Break is over so soon. How terrible. How despicible! I cannot believe we are already in the year 2002 and we're going back to school! I loved break. It was fun. Holidays. Good. Fun. Wonderful. Brilliant. Dazzling. Restorative. Magnificent. Free. Liberating. Those are all good words to describe break. Christmas vacation. It was GREAT! I had so much freedom. It'll all come to an end soon. Science Olympiad will start. I'll isolate myself in an academic bubble. Life will different. I'll need how to manage time. I'm normally okay about managaing time...I know my priorities, but I think this will be even more close with tons of deadlines. AP US is supposed to be tons and tons harder second semester. Luckily, I'll get out of Algebra II with Mrs. Grover and have Mr. Quick. He'll be harder, but he is a much better educator. Tomorrow is Sarah's birthday. I cannot believe she got my package so early. BTW, I have not gotten any e-mails or guestbook messages about the HTML and uploading scenario and I have finished Paper Daughter. I wouldn't recommend it. Kudos for now.

Update: I'm currently reading this book called Paper Daughter written by M. Elaine Mar. Here's my favorite excerpt from this book:
"Junior year, the kids at school started talking about college. Harvard, Princeton, Yale, MIT, Vassar, Brown, Bryn Mawr. These were the names whispered by college-track students, the labels my classmates aspired to, replacing Izod, Calvin Klien, and Ralph Lauren. The kids shuffled brochures on desktops, planning trips with their parents to tour the schools 'back East.' They smiled at me kindly. 'You're so smart. And you're Chinese. You could get in anywhere. Which schools are you visiting?' they asked" (Mar, 257).
Just thought I'd share. So far, the book is so-so. More later. Kudos for now.

Greetings! I just came back from the movies. The Science Olympiad group, without the help of Jessica, went to see Ocean's Eleven, and it was a perfect mini-social opportunity. I loved the movie! It's cunning, brillant and dazzling! The plot is not too much, and I've probably seen better plots before, but the actions certainly makes up for it. I personally would recommend for anyone who has been very bored over Christmas break! Enjoy it while you can. The cast is a bunch of celebrities--George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon...etc. Minor roles include: Joshua Jackson, Shane West, Barry Watson, etc. It's great--the movie is wonderful! See it, everyone. BTW, no one has actually e-mailed me about the music thing. GTG. Kudos for now.

Wow...about 1,650 hits (most of which are mine)!!!! Go Chemokinetic! Wait--my life can't possibly be that interesting.

HTML EXPERTS-Denny needs help! Please respond through e-mail or the guestbook. My problem: I have a song, a beautiful song I want to put on the blog. Some of you might not like it, but...I still want it on the blog! How do I upload (is that the right word) it so I can HTML on my blog? I don't actually have my own server or anything like that. Does anyone know any free servers I could use? For now, I've been keeping my files on C239, but I really don't want to impose on Emma.
As for my own life, I just received an e-mail for Jessica Teale. Of course I'll read her paper--in fact, it'll probably benefit ME more than her, just so I get exposed to some more ideas. Homework-wise--I love break, and it'll take a bulldozer, two rifles, and a screwy housekeeper to get me back to school. Okay, maybe less. After this week upcoming week in school, we have finals. If you think I'm uptight as I am, you don't know how I am during finals! I just have ONE more paragraph, some fine-tuning, and a bit more studying left. Two more days. Ugh! Anyway, someone get back to me about that uploading! Thanks. Got to go. Kudos for now.

Happy New Year, everyone! Although only the strange, severely bored visit this site, I can still give out my best wishes over the new year. I really don't have any resolutions, just to maintain my grades, which is still going to be very hard. I started my paper (book review) for AP US History. I still need to compare it to other narratives from slavery, which is going to be the hardest part. Random thought: For those of you who do visit my guestbook, please sign it and write a bunch of comments! It's so depressing to click on the guestbook and find out that no one has signed it recently! Since I'm technologically primitive, my guestbook is the only connection I have to the people who visit (unless I know you personally). Blogging has seemed really pointless. It's unfortunate; when school's out, there's like nothing to write about. When school's in session, I don't have time to blog, yet there are so many things to write about. I recently rented The Glass House, which is a suspense drama. I'd recommend it, if you would like a slight January scare. BTW, Emma's over right now...browsing through a copy of Seventeen. GTG. Kudos for now.

Yay! I finished my Their Eyes Were Watching Godpaper! Emma didn't come over today. She didn't have transportation, so she will be coming over tomorrow. Something not boring, even better! BTW, I hope your grandpa is feeling better...I have really enjoyed break, but I think I have gone overboard on my enjoyment. It will be obsolete when January 7th rolls around, and school starts again. Jessica Hudson should be planning another movie party for the Science Olympians. I have overwhelmed myself with Civilization III, chatting, playing video games, watching TV, reading BOOKS (something I never have time to do). It reminds me of Janie's search for herself in TEWWG. She grows, and so I do! I grow through enjoyment. Okay, so I might be a bit uptight during school, but that's what creates my success. For those of you who can't tell, my blog is basically a bunch of random thoughts which are popping in my mind, and my fingers are typing them. I have to go to Loutit (Grand Haven) libarary soon to get books and resources on slavery. Warner Baird is too small to have anything. One more report--book review for AP US History--left, and then I'm done! Kudos for now.
