This is actually the very first time I have posted two times in ONE DAY! Congratulate me! Thanks to everyone who has actually signed my guestbook (Sarah, Alli, Nicole, Brenna, etc.). Try to talk about my blog somemore so MORE people will come! I want a diverse audience, not just people I see on an everyday basis. Anyway, I finished my Spanish II and AP US History homework (most of it). I also touched base with Chemistry, so I shouldn't have exactly "a lot" to do for Saturday and Sunday except go over and revise the killer Beowulf paper. Mrs. Shaw, the AP Comp teacher, assigned an absolutely negatively horrendous paper due Monday about rhetorical devices used in a passage of Beowulf. Personally, I could care less! Yes, tomorrow is the pent-up day of the Homecoming dance! I have some inclinations as to whom to dance with, but then I imagine them rearing their head, saying a downright "No." and my blushing with embarrassment. Maybe I should just lay low. Homecoming is awfully formal. Personally, I just don't understand the tradition of why guys have to ask girls. Normally, I'm a bit more conservative than a libreral (depends on the situation), but I just think that us poor guys shouldn't always be the ones stuck left with the question. After all, if women go on and on about equality, they should start asking too! Also, this whole new war on terrorism has gotten way out of hand. GHHS has not turned off that tv in front of the rotunda since the attacks, and the channel is always on CNN now. America's New War has somewhat of a patriotic sound to it, but if you say War on Terrorism, it sounds more deadly. Hah! I just analyzed diction. I know if we don't take the precautions necessary, then it could happen again. Well, I find it personally hard to imagine actually another plane crash into another American monument. The US has beefed up security so much I wouldn't be surprised if the terrorists struck by another means. After all, we aren't just vulernable only in the air. Anyway, if you aren't the stay @ home nerd who analyzes literature with rhetorical devices like diction, point-of-view, etc., just make sure you are up to date on the current events. GHAPS just raised 20,000 dollars for the Red Cross for relief in New York! Go Bucs! I didn't get an opportunity to actually go to the game, but I'm assuming we lost against Jenison. Ooooh, we've reached over 300 counter points, so keep 'em coming! Kudos for now.

Well, there goes another week of school. Despite the number of people who may beg and cry, I will not release the name of the person who likes me. Simply put, it's unethical. After all, I did take an oath. It was Spirit Week @ GHHS this week, meaning there was a Pep Assembly Friday (today). Basically, all classes were shortened, and there was this big celebration for sports (note: no celebration for academics or the arts!). Anyway, enough griping about that. I don't have as much homework over the weekend as I should, because all teachers loosened up over Homecoming weekend! I'm going to the dance tomorrow, and I am quasi-excited. I know, it sounds stupid of ME to be excited over a dance when I'm going by myself. Anyway, it's my first Homecoming dance which I'm bothering to attend. Let's see if I can master the perfect tie knot. Silly me! Actually caring what I look like! Does that sound like the regular Denny to you? Well, it isn't, but Homecoming certainly should bring out the best in everyone. Homework, even though I have a tish, calls so kudos for now!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! My life is a total crisis right now. Things are not going well. Besides from all this homework, I have an issue with one of my teachers. My goodness, I usually get along with teachers well, but I don't know what's wrong with this one. Anyway, aside from horrible things, I'm going to the Homecoming Dance. If you're going to ask who, my answer is "Myself." Might sound kinda retarded, but it is, indeed, the perfect answer. I found out the other day someone likes me, but that's a whole other topic for a completely different entry. I just hope I have fun @ Homecoming. I didn't go last year, which is why I really wanted to go this year. Anyway, homework is calling, as usual, and a vocab quiz is tomorrow in AP Comp. AHHHHHHHHHHH! Kudos for now!

FINALLY! YES! I have some time to update the blog. Note: that doesn't mean I have the time to actually update links, but I do have what time allows to add an entry and check the guestbook! My life has been rather chaotic lately, which is the main reason why I haven't posted in what must seem like years. Luckily, I still remembered my password for Pitas! Anyway, I have had quite an insane amount of homework lately, including an especially annoying Beowulf paper for AP Comp! My homework load is a bit lighter today, so I do have some time on my hands to do what I actually enjoy doing. I have gotten so sick of that AP US History textbook that thinking about it makes me feel ill! Basically, it's a very anti-school feeling that's been contagious lately. Never would I thought I would be sick of homework! Usually, I have had bearable amounts, and I enjoy doing them because after I finish, I feel proud about myself (sorry, egotistical there). Yet, lately, the amounts are rather unbearable. I feel like I need more sleep, and the fact that I have a slight cold does not help this situation. Anyway, my grades are all A's right now, so I'm pretty gosh darn happy! Kudos for now.

Ick! I feel absolutely horrible. My nose is backed up and stuck all the way back to Mississippi, and today was not the greatest day of all, although it was Friday! I had so much homework last night I didn't even go online! AHHHHHHH! I officially have no life except school, which you all probably noticed while reading my blog entries. I have a test in Chemistry and Algebra II Tuesday, so I will definitely be studying this weekend! This week started out so well, too. It's such a stinker that I ended up with this heinous cold. *Sniffle* Well, it's also stupid we're going to war with Afghanistan. It's so un-American! Come on, we aren't supposed to get revenge, but handle this in a calm, civilized manner. This situation is way too stumping. I'm not surprised President Bush came up with what he is calling a "solution." I doubt this war will help. It could destroy the only remaining world superpower (us). Anyway, got to go. Kudos for now.

Life is finally coasting, I hope! I got 18/16 on my Chemistry Pop Quiz, and 100% on my Vocabulary Unit 2 quiz! I was thrilled, because my grades are finally where they should be! I bet we'll have a pop quiz in History tomorrow, and I don't expect to do terribly well, but I'll survive if I do well on the test! I have tons of homework, so kudos for now!

My day went so well! I feel like jumping up and down in happiness. Too bad I don't have the energy. I got a 92/93 on my AP US History test, all of Sikkenga's tests are curved. I didn't do as bad on my essays as I thought...in fact, much better! Although I have tons of homework, I am terribly optimistic after getting all A's returned to me. Everything is wonderful! I knew I would cheer up sometime. 100% in Algebra II quiz, 100% on Chemistry quiz, A on my AP Comp paper...as you can tell, today was definitely a good day! I added some more links to like CNN and the Weather Channel. I figured in light of recent attacks, it would be most appropriate to do so. I cannot believe we're going to war (most likely) with the Taliban in Afghanistan. It's very depressing...I wished no more American lives would be taken over this, but it seems like diplomacy is not going to work this time! Homework and the end of a wonderful dall calls. Kudos for now.

It's Sunday, unfortunately...the last day of weekend! How I have enjoyed the weekend! It's a time of such great freedom! Tomorrow, I will have to go back to school. In case you haven't heard, I just read from CNN (added a few more links) that Pakistan is demanding the handover of Bin Laden from the Taliban in Afghanistan, and they have three days to give him. If not, the consequence is military action with the US in lead. I doubt the Taliban will cooperate, and I believe war is 99% certain, including the fact that Bush has already hinted at violence about 1000 times while publicly speaking. I do not exactly agree with such actions, but I cannot come up with any other way to make Bin Laden pay for his attacks. However, I also think it's totally unfair for those few people targeting Muslim Americans across America, holding them responsible for the attck. I feel complete sorrow for them, being part of a minority group myself. This is a time for Americans to unite, not be torn by who belongs to what ethnic group. Anyway, tomorrow starts another week of school. I will get my test (essay and multi-choice) back in AP US History and my college application essay in AP Comp returned, so I am scared out of my wits. Hopefully, I did well. I also archived my old entries, so you can click on "Archive" to read them. Pray for those in need! Kudos for now.
