Happy Turkey day people! Well I finally have some time for my small con report on Anime USA XD..it was last weekend at the Sheraton Premiere in Tyson's Corner and it woz fun! The trip there didn't start out too good though everything that could have gone wrong did. My alarm didn't go off so the timed itinirary I had planned didn't pan out at all. So of course I was rushed getting all my stuff together, then on the way out of the house I tested the air..thought "yeah it's not so cold" and started walking..made it half way to the bus stop when the cold wind hit me and I turned right around and grabbed my coat. Headed out the house again except oops this time I forgot my fucking backpack in the house..with the KEYS..*cough* so ha..I was locked out. Ended up hopping the fence, going around to the back of the house and having my aunt let me in through the basement..went upstairs grabbed my bag and finally headed to the bus stop ..augh..then with the bus and train trip, man I made it there a lot later than I had intended to..actually it was almost 3pm by then. Still I didn't get terribly lost or anything since it was my first time making it to Tyson's by bus and all. I met up with Dalla first, when I got to the Sheraton, got registered, then checked into the Comfort Inn. The room was ok, had a fridge and microwave, two beds..*shrug* standard, and it was gonna be shared by 6 people omg XD lucky for me the whole group was a fun bunch..I liked them all and I hope I get to hang with them at another con again. As for the con itself, it was much bigger than I remember it being back when it used to be in Rosslyn, wow it sure grew. The Sheraton was a nice spot..the location just irked me a bit as far as travel went. A big reason for going was that Move was going to have a concert..wow all the way from Japan. You might know them more for Initial D..but they were just amazing live! Yuri was soooo cute XD and they just sounded amazing..it was very worth it and the line, though long, went by rather quick. Oh and to top it off Vikki was there as Edward on friday..I barely recognized her at first when her group came up, actually it was a very cute Sakura who recognized me as Rodo and she brought Vikki and Ryo with her. Omg it was so awesome to see that group again ^^ I recognized Ryo as the Mad Hatter from Otakon, and she todl me she really liked my Rodo cosplay..holy hell was I flattered..it's huge coming from her! Vikki made the most adorable Edward Elric and of course her contacts were just awesome XD...but we didn't get too long to chat as we were in line for the Move concert at the time. After the concert we caught up with Vikki again, but this time she was dressed as Allen..ohoho! As always, the Allen cosplay just suits her amazingly..maybe it's the height, maybe it's the contacts or the fact she actually ties his hair back (which we all know ponytail Allen OWNZ!) but either way there was no chance in hell we were gonna pass up the photo op. Before that though I helped Vikki change the contacts and scar on her face since it was on the wrong eye *wags finger* and then we went crazy with my cam XD. We ended up taking a lot of silly shots and just improvising things here and there really. The biggest kick out of it for me was that there were two Allens, so it just killed me to work both of em XD hahaha. I kept telling Ian that he'd make the best Rabi..and it would totally complete the set (plus Rabi/Allen is my OTP so shots of those two woulod be have been soooo awesome). Anyway I was glad Vikki was open minded enough to play along, it was more fun than it should have been heh, oh what a hopeless fangirl am I XD. Well after talking our ears off she ended up going home cause she had to work the next day or something, and then Ian and I headed off back to the hotel. We hung out with the rest of the group later on that evening. The next day we got up and got ready for our Saturday cosplay. I ended up doing the tattoos (with sharpies no less!) on Ian's friend who was cosplaying Renji from Bleach..holy hell it took almost two hours..it was so long that everyone else left without us hahaha..but in the end they looked pretty good and he was satisfied with the work so he ran off for his photoshoot thing at the hotel and I finally got to dress up myself @_@..the hair was the biggest prob for me as always..Tiki's hair takes forever to set. Ian came back for me, (omg he makes such an awesome Byakkuya!), he changed into Allen real quick, (well not too quick cause we had trouble getting the contacts Vikki had lent him in his eyes! Ahhh..his eyes were virgin to contacts hehe) to the con and I totally forgot my freakin gloves, walked back to the hotel to get em..fixed my sotume a bit cause the strap on the coat came off, then headed back painfully (cause my shoes KILLED ME) in time for the Move signing. We stood in line for quite some time..eager and anticipating of course just getting to shake hands with them and meet them in person was worth all the trouble. Sadly, I didn't buy anything for them to autograph myself, I got to borrow Ian's CD though, while he got his DVD signed..really I just wanted to see them. I was in cosplay at the time too (as Tiki) and they actually asked me about it..I could have died XD. Omg they were all so awesome in person..Yuri was soo cute and she thanked me in english omg XD..the best part was they understood my japanese hahaha Motsu was very talkative and wanted to know what I was cosplaying..so now he knows all about D.Gray-man now hahaha. Woo..I fangirled. The rest of the day went by quick, we got some food and all that and then late in the evening I FINALLY got to see FFAC..FINALLY..and holy hell it was worth the wait. The story was a bit iffy but the graphics and action was incredible..omg I swear many times I gasped, swooned and drooled XD haha. Also Ian was dressed as Itachi for this segment of saturday and omg..he makes the BEST Itachi EVER *fangirled*..I was like "omg I'm so lucky you're MINE!" I really wish I could have taken pics of his cosplay but I had no more room left on my cam ;_;..need bigger memory card..got to see a few AMV's but not as many as I usually watch at cons..mou..I missed the AMV contest >_< I swear I have no luck for making those things on time lately. Oh well it was back to the hotel where we fell asleep to Adult Swim on TV ^^ ah sweetness Sunday was the wrap up, hung out with the group, wandered around the con and last minute dealer's room, I didn't find anything of interest myself..not even doujinshi which usually is a huge draw for me hahaha..too much Gundam Seed and Scryed and not a single Shaman King or D.Gray-man *sigh*. Ah well..wrapped up the evening with , of course, japanese food..and omg..I had been craving my unagi sushi for so long..it was orgasmic. After all that we hung out a bit back at the hotel..then the group disbanded. *sigh* So bittersweet and so short ;_; that weekend flew, really. My only regret was not spending enough time with Dalla..she came all the way up from southern VA and we really didn't hang out much at all..I know she was kinda miffed by that too, but the problem was, I spent all Nekocon working it and didn't get to spend much time with Ian at all there when I met him, we were totally gonna take advantage of AnimeUSA to spend time together since I wont be here in December. Also, she really goes to cons for the VAs..and I just could care less XD haha..really, the VA's just aren't a draw for me at all, but she has fun seeing them all again and keeping current on their lives, so I hope it was still worth it for her at least on that aspect ^_~. The highlight of the entire con though was spending time with Ian..it was great to see him again and we were really attached at the hip, it was nice to feel important for once *happy sigh*. I'm gonna see him again next week yay! k..so without further ado..Cosplay Pics from AnimeUSA 2005!! (with commentary no less! XD)

Wooo..ok well it's been a long two weeks >_< let's catch up with Halloween. I took the lil cousins out trick-or-treating which was fun because I dressed up too for the pure hell of it and man I wish I would have taken pics of our lil grou pit was neat and for the first time in a long time I wore a dress of sorts, with a long white haired wig and make-up..wow I forgot what it was like to look so girly haha. Well anyway the girls got lots of candy and I got a nice commission from it (aka the candy they didn't like they gave me bwahahah). Anyhow I spent the entire halloween week with my aunt and her kids cause my uncle was away on business so I wanted to help out. It was more fun than I thought it would be actually ^^..then Halloween weekend I went clubbing..didn't dress up though, but from all the weirdos I saw on the streets I kinda wish I had XD..it was fun though I remember now why I quit the club scene. I always attract the weirdos..augh. By the end of the night some drunk guy who started out dancing decently enough got all gropy and I ended up ditching him like I always do. Still, it was a good night..the freakin whiskey Sour I drank was so strong it was gross..made me wanna puke everytime I tasted it. BUT! It did the trick..I was nicely tipsy most of the night and that equals hours upon hours of dancing in my book hahaha. Well I ended up coming home, that Teusday, finished up some last minute stuff on my cosplay and the next day headed off to south VA to meet up with Dalla. It was great to see her again! Everytime we see each other it feels like we haven't done so in forever hahaha...got a nice big hug out of it ^___^ well that and I love taking the train down there..that hour/half ride is so relaxing..it reminds me of my days on the metra heading to Chicago..so much nostalgia, I remember seeing the Sears Tower peak over the horizon as the train approached the city *sigh*. Well anyway we met, went for dinner at Applebees which is always very welcomed and delicious! Then headed to her place to sleep (oh and she had more doujin for me to comb through omg..paradise!) After a quick restless sleep we flew down to Neko that thursday since we were staffing we had to be there a day early to start bringing in the guests and sorting things out. I got artists which was kinda neat cause..duh I'm an artist and I liked to see their process..it was impressive all the stuff they lugged with them >_< it's dedication man, laptops and everything. Dizzyness was such a blast that girl is outgoing and just bubbly XD it was fun working with her. Novablade was a good team, I was impressed with their work and omg they are the least demanding people in the WORLD..I felt bad that everytime I asked them how things were going they always said everything was fine..I seriously wish I could have done something more for them other than get gophers and water half the time. Other than that they were all so lax that it gave me time to work out stuff for the VAs too even though I didn't have them. Well before I knew it, it was friday. Dalla and I dressed up as kitty twins, she was in black and I was in white which was kewl cause I'm the one with the black hair and she has blonde XD..it was fun and comfy, though people kept saying our ears looked more like bunny ears hehe..it drove her nuts cause she made em..the tails were awesome though! Friday was also the dance which was awesome cause Greg Ayres was DJing and he has a good sense of music XD I was rocking my booty like you can't imagine, it was fun and I got Dalla to dance with me too even though she swears she hates dancing..I think she did well for being as self conscious as she thinks she is ^_~ Saturday I cosplayed Tiki finally and I got Dalla to cosplay Allen..I think it suited her nicely XD though the wig we used was so ghetto..originally we had planned to use her own hair cause she has his same length and style but she had recently bleached it and the white hairspray was contra-indicated so I brought my wig and gave it a ghetto cut..well she still pulled it off even though she really has no idea who Allen is..I did it for my own pleasure really. Also I met only one other D.Gray cosplayer who went as Allen and omg did we hit if off XD it was so funny seeing Tiki and Allen talking amicably with glomps and hugs all over the place..Shadowed Arashi I <3 youuuu! I abused that poor boy of course and we ended up doing a ton of poses for the cam on sunday. Sadly the Allen costume for Dalla became too uncomfortable and she only wore it on saturday then quickly changed out of it, and stupid me didn't get ONE pic of us together...augh I gotta scour for pics other people took now..ah well there is always next time I suppose. As for the pics I took I was dissappointed that as always my hair was misbehaving..the weather in Hampton ended up being way hotter than I anticipated and with heat comes humidity and hair probs XD so I was sweating all over the place and having to go back and fix my hair too many times *sigh*..but I did get recognized by some con-goers and that is all I ask for when I cosplay (since I'm still such a cosplay newbie) I seriously should have brought my Rodo costume..it would have kept me cooler >_< Without further ado..the pics for Nekocon 2005 cosplay!
Wish I had taken more pics but the staff thingy had me running around all over the place..there was this absolutely lovely Fye too damn shame I couldn't use my camera more ;_; well I guess I will have to make up for it at AnimeUSA which I have decided to go to. And as a last bonus thing I leave you with the lil plushie I made in the "How to make a plushie" panel which was one of the only events I made it to >_< (totally missed all the AMVs which is such a bummer)
