Well, I was doing that thing again today where random synapses in your brain fire at strange intervals causing you to come up with completely random yet somehow deep thoughts at strange points in time. I originally wasn't going to post them but I decided that some people who read my page might actually think they're good thoughts.. so here goes.

It happened to occur to me at some point in thinking of a quiz I could make that friends have always taken a high priority in my life. If you're just breezing by my page you could probably ask on my tag board how I treat my friends (save for the typical sarcasm that is in my nature) and you'll see that it's always been remarkably well. I think this is because my friends have always highly affected my own personality. As strange as it is I was never really self confident when I was younger. I ended up making a habit of adopting traits I saw in my friends that I keyed unto and thought to be "cool". But more than that... I've realized that if it wasn't for my friends and the memories I have with them I wouldn't be half the person I am today. Every friend I have or had holds a place in my heart, some more than others but they are all a part of who I am and I could never express that in person.

From there a random firing of another synapse caused to verve completely off subject to another topic. In fact, I believe it's partially what put me in the mood I was in earlier today. Life's always been a bit unsure for me. I've always had the worry and fear of just eeking my way through life, never making anything of myself and becoming one of the faceless masses that is simply happy with making it from day to day. That's not what I want or expect from myself though. I've been told countless times what potential I have and yet I've never even lived up to my own expectations.

A synapse fires. I perk up a bit. What can you do about the past? Nothing! Everything in my past has decided who and what I am today and as I look at my life I realize I wouldn't change a single decision if it meant losing one of the people that mean the most to me. That's the cost. My worries mostly center around my career and college. But had I not taken the path I'm on now I would never know the handful of people that I hold dearest in my heart. My friends Jenny and Danielle, Jarrad and his family, Josh and Amy from Lock Haven... and various others. They are what makes me who I am. If you can even lift one finger on your hand when counting the friends that you love unconditionally and that love you back the same you're blessed. They are the ones that will hold your life together when you are ready to cast it aside.

Anyways, around that point I was floating on cloud nine and ended up going into a euphoric haze. So you're probably wondering the whole point of all this. I'll let you in on a secret... tell you're friends how you feel about them and don't lose contact. There will come a day when you look back to the best friend you had from when you were 8 and realize you have no idea where he/she is anymore. Well, that's the advice for the week. I think I'll make it a point to have a deep thought of the week from now on.

Well, this weekend was pretty fun so far. I'll start from the beginning and work my way up to today. So Thursday (yes, i know it's not really considering the "weekend" but it was the start of my break) I had karate. ^_^ It was a lot of fun. Except I hit Vinny and Tony... and then when we were going over blocks I hit Danielle kinda hard.. -_- and I felt really bad about it. I also hit Jenny but I don't think I hit her nearly as hard so I'm sure it didn't hurt that much. Anyways, so me and Vinny worked in a team to go over all the blocks and stuff and it was a lot of fun. Plus I'm starting to get Nai Hachai Shodan down. ^_^ He also went over the blocking drill with me. I may even get a stripe this coming week because I pretty much have my etiquette memorized. Hmm... so then Thursday when I got up here (Lock Haven) I pretty much just crashed and then yesterday I RPed a little with some of my friends. It was fun. Then we went to Campus Craze. That... was a blast. XD I did an obstacle course with James but, unfortunately, I lost. But only by a millisecond... blast the luck. Anyways, then I rode a mechanical bull and did the giant boxing gloves thing with Josh. Fun times. I also had cotton candy. I love cotton candy. Anyways, so yeah... I'm gonna go comb my hair and brush my teeth and all that happy stuff... then eat... I'm hungry. Starving. Famished. Yep, I'm gonna go do that stuff now.

Hmm... well, I got my first stripe on Monday. ^_^ I'm happy about that. Plus Mr. Snyder said that Thursday he (or whoever is giving the class) will test me on my ettiquette. I might be able to get my second stripe then. Hmm... I do need somone to go over some things with me though because it just seems like nobody wants to even explain things step by step with me. It's like I'm just expected to know it. >.< Like the blocking drill. Yeah, okay... they went over it like 3 times but considering the first time they did I had never seen it before, the second time I was struggling to learn the movements while they did it at a normal pace and the third time I had a guy who wasn't even doing it right... >.< yeah.. no wonder I don't know it. But Jenny offered to go over some of the stuff with me the next time we hang out so I'm happy. Anyways, I'm gonna get back to IRC.

Yay! New layout. Yep, I just sorta had a Hellsing kick so I decided to make a layout that spoke to my more creepy side. Also, the banner at the top of the left hand section reads "In the name of God, impure souls of the living dead shall be banished into eternal darkness. Amen." It would have been more readable but I had to shrink it down so that the whole word of Hellsing could be read. But yeah, I'm even happier about this layout cause I actually made it myself. I mean.. it wasn't that hard but then again after Ellie made my other layout I was completely lost. Also, thanks to Jenny for letting me know about that html help page. Well, I'm gonna go and try to memorize my Training Oath for karate now. Maybe I can get my next stripe tonight. ^_^
