**it's Seishirou's birthday!!**

Alison, wrote that perhaps Seishirou and Nataku switched sides through death. Quite an intriguing notion...though fangirl ponderings must wait until after I finish my essays...

**unintentional ramblings**

Asuka updates...hrm interesting, but not all that surprising. All these volumes and now they start getting to the "climax," so to speak. X amuses me to no end, but it really pales plotwise compare to other Clamp works. I sincerely hope the ending makes up for the the time it took to write the damn series. /Kamui/ or should I say Fuuma, is back to that hideous uniform. Really it does his face and figure no justice at all...

And then I wonder how they're going to even out the playing ground...ya' know Seven on Seven for the Final Battle. On the one hand, one could argue that the whole series is the battle and therefore the casualities' tally doesn't matter all that much. However if we're playing by the Book of Revelations, it's the Seven Angels whose number dwindles and goes back to seven. First there's the initial seven. Four of them have the power to destroy earth and sea, the other three fall out of the picture for a little bit, but by the end they're back to Seven. Oh, wait a sec...

In Revelations (from what I remember) the Seven Seals are seals on The Book That No Man Can Open. I guess we can run with the idea that either the changing sides(or possible death) of a Seal may count as "breaking." With this we can surmise that Arashi and Subaru are "broken" Seals (hmmn, that sounds unintentionally obscene, but in Arashi's case and what does that say about Subaru...oh nevermind). Because X/1999 is an allegory of sorts, it's hard not to fall into the trap of interpreting it literally...but let's play around with it anyway...

When the First Seal was broken, there comes the sound of thunder and a white horse comes forth. His rider has been given the crown (of victory) and is there to conquer; and he does so. This is interesting because Subaru has been handed down the position of Sakurazukamori (and Clamp gave us that lovely color pic of the two with the whole bishop/cardinal(?) theme). However, he really doesn't seem to be er, conquering...if he's really livin' up the position he's doing so off-panel. Another thing to note is that the color here is white, when he was head of the clan his robes were white...though not anymore.

Second Seal gets broken and this time it's a red horse with a rider(?). While the first horse represented victory and conquest, the second one stands for war. He is charged to take peace from the earth and is given a great sword. This isn't too much of a stretch considering that part of Arashi's priestess getup is red(it's also partly white, but we're ignoring that...) and the irony is that her sword was taken away. The taking peace bit? Well, maybe the stoic Arashi is going to raise a little Hell...or not knowing Clamp *pouts*...

Now it's projecting time! *rubs hands together* Next up is the third seal and the black horse: "and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand." I'm gonna say Karen for three reasons; 1.) Balances, she's the Justice Card, 2.) due to the whole Nataku thing she might turn anyday now, and 3.) er..black is her color(Christian color for mourning)? Okay, make that two reasons...^_^;;

Next one is harder to predict (assuming all the Seals get broken). The fourth one is the pale horse of "Death and Hell followed with him." Er, if we're going by Tarot Cards I'd say Sorata because he's the Chariot Card and that has the dark and pale horse.

From there on projectin' is nearly impossible because there are no more Riders to correlate with characters. Instead different events happen after the breaking of the rest of the Seals.

Then comes the ultimatum and the messages of the three angels (I'm working off an online text right now and the formatting makes for a headache-inducing read). One of those messages is that Babylon is fallen. Gee, I wonder if that refers to Tokyo...like the manga title Tokyo Babylon. And more stuff happens...right now that's as far as I'm going until I can go to the library and get a good copy of Revelations and organize my thoughts. Quite likely I'm forcing square pegs into round holes with this over analysis, but hey why not?
