Welcome to

Sunday, October 10, 1999; 06:50 p.m. Azrael & Phoebe's Kitty Critics' Corner
As soon as I get around to it (maybe tomorrow) I'll officially update the kitty critics' corner since from now on all TV discussions will be taking place here. For now, I'm transferring the links to our favorite shows over here:
Some Comments on TV:
First a "quick" run down of our favorites.
We were sad to see ST Deep Space 9 end.
But we've been thrilled with the return of many of our favorites, especially ER,
The Practice and
Buffy The Vampire Slayer. We suppose that Ally
McBeal will be back with new episodes soon. We haven't watched the half hour version yet. It'll be interesting to see what'll be new this time and whether it can stay fresh.
Other continuing favorites have been Dharma and Greg, Frasier, That 70's Show, and Will and Grace.
As for the past few years
Rosie O'Donnel has been a daily staple! We love Rosie!!!! I watch her everyday after lunch (with Days of Our Lives) and spent a bit too much time at the beginning of the summer on her
message boards ;-) Breakfast, on the other hand, is with The View -- I even voted for Lisa Ling as new cohost! We adore The Animal Planet - those veterinary ER docs are great as is the Pet Connection show!
There are, of course, other shows for which I don't have the links at the moment and I haven't even mentioned any of the new shows...but I'll get around to that sometime soon.
We finally got to watch last week's episode of The Practice and it was great! I suspect that Jimmy will be having legal difficulties in the future as a result of his actions, whereas I applauded Bobby for his [a real And Justice for All moment!] I can't wait to see what happens tonight with the on-going "nun" storyline!
Sunday, October 10, 1999; 03:04 p.m. Nadia's CRF page
We were surfing through Azrael's new webring and came across this amazing site. If you have cats in your family, then you'll not want to miss the great resources at this site. Not only is there tons of useful info on CRF, but also on a variety of feline health issues. There's info on different diets, including recipes. To top it all off there's a cut little video of Nadia (who looks an awful lot like Phoebe) as well.
Saturday, October 9, 1999; 03:04 p.m. Catstuff
If you are looking for Halloween backgrounds and images for a Halloween Themed website, check out Catstuff's holiday collections. They've got awesome stuff for other holidays as well!
Saturday, October 9, 1999; 03:01 p.m. Not Just For Halloween Books
I just added a new page of mostly kids books that are Fall/Halloween themed.
Saturday, October 9, 1999; 09:10 a.m. C & C Graphics
Nice new find of web graphics for feline fans. Follow the links home to the family kitty pages. They have, among other things, a kitty cam.
Saturday, October 9, 1999; 09:07 a.m. Chronic Renal Failure
Check out the new webring on Azrael's CRF page. It's a great new ring for kitties with CRF and notice the beautiful kitty on the graphics! Isn't that a nice touch?
Saturday, October 9, 1999; 12:08 a.m. Buffy Buffy Buffy!
We had Buffyfest tonight. We'd taped the season premiere on Tuesday so that we could all watch together (and initiate Missy into the world of Buffiness). It was soooo good to have a new one. I have to say Buffy was a little depressed which always brings the energy on the show down, but it picked up by the end. Angel was good, too.
Friday, October 8, 1999; 12:09 p.m.
These are posts I didn't get around to making yesterday. We took Azrael for her checkup and Dr. Brinson was very pleased with the way she looked, her heart and blood pressure and all. We ended up moving Az's litterbox into our bedroom and that seems to have ended the litterbox phobia caused by Phoebe's pouncing. We got the results back from the blood work already and they looked really good (yeah!!!) but the urinalysis had some bacteria in it (booh!). We'll have to wait and hear the results from the culture to know which antibiotic she'll need to be on. It looks like that may well be a permanent thing for the baby. As long as the antibiotics don't hurt her in any way, it's a small price to pay.
Dr. B. has a new puppy now. So in addition to Trip (the sweet kitty with the neurological problems) and Sprout (the little doggie she found in the spring) now she has a chocolate lab puppy named ....oh, I forgot, was it Clover?? Anyway, the puppy jumped out of her former owner's car window and broke her leg and the owner wanted to put her to sleep!!! Dr. B. decided to adopt her instead and operated on the leg herself. So, now Trip has two doggies who like to slobber on him! Dr. Brinson is such a wonderful person.
Tuesday, October 5, 1999; 03:55 p.m. Azrael's Club of Special Friends
Just added Leo to Azrael's club. I also updated some over at
Phoebe's award for animal friends and rescuers, but was having ftp problems again.
Tuesday, October 5, 1999; 03:53 p.m. map of a cat's brain
Not original to SueCat's site, but it is a funny cartoon anyway.
Monday, October 4, 1999; 01:52 p.m. Jim Witte's pages
Our power went out last night around 7:15. It didn't come back on in time for the Practice at 9 either! Luckily we have such good friends. Jim copied it for us. Hopefully we'll get to see it some time soon. Gee, it's almost time for Days of Our Lives and then Rosie! Gotta go have lunch!
Monday, October 4, 1999; 01:47 p.m. Random Acts of Kindness
We just joined a nifty group called Random Acts of Kindness. That's where this cute little bear comes from.
We adopted him and thought this would be a nice home for him for now. You can adopt one, too.
Monday, October 4, 1999; 01:41 p.m. Precious Kittens
We just added the Precious Kittens to Azrael & Phoebe's banner friends. Obviously our ftp is up again. Unfortunately I managed not to save some of the work I did on the cd of the month pages yesterday ... arghhhh! Updates over at the Kitty Critics' Corner will be happening soon. Promise!
Monday, October 4, 1999; 01:39 p.m. Feline Chronic Renal Failure
Azrael just joined a webring for kitties with chronic renal failure. You can see it in the link above.
Sunday, October 3, 1999; 02:34 p.m. http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/barnsbury/293/critics.html
Hey, it's really dreary here in Illinois today. Rainy, damp, with a chill in the air. Makes me want to follow Azrael and Phoebe's examples and find a cozy place to curl up and sleep.
Last night we watched two videos with Missy. There was Kiss Me Guido and The Mummy (which we'd already seen at the theater. The review for the first will be up sometime this week. Missy (an archaeologist herself) was amused by The Mummy, but she enjoyed it.
I'll be updating quite a few pages over at Critics once Fortune City's FTP is back up (hopefully tomorrow). I'll also be adding a few now banner friends.
Tonight's The Practice!!
Friday, October 1, 1999; 04:17 p.m. The Rosie O'Donnell Show
I love that Rosie's back with a new season and I always enjoy October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month -- I know that sounds really strange, but her little songs every day are a real hoot! Besides it's a really important topic. Especially so in my family since my Aunt Shirley has been fighting breast cancer this past year.
Friday, October 1, 1999; 12:13 p.m.
Did you get to see ER last night? Wow! New ER and The Practice all in one week! New Buffy coming soon, too! I'm just glued to the set!!!!
Thursday, September 30, 1999; 10:15 p.m. monster.com
I just have to say that this is one case in which the commercial influenced me to check out the site. The commercial with the little kids saying things like "When I grow up I want to be underappreciated and underpaid" or "I want to be a yes-man" are really great (and too sad but true).
Thursday, September 30, 1999; 03:50 p.m.
Tony and I went with MJ and Jim last night to see Leslie Nielsen as Clarence Darrow at Krannert. It was really powerful and I'd recommend it to anyone if the show comes somewhere you can catch it. Of course, I did have to get over the image of him "farting" repeatedly on Rosie's show, but very quickly the character of Darrow made me forget all about Mr. Nielsen and his peculiar sense of humor.
