Even though it's Saturday in Australia, still going to do the TFF. We spent the day at the Melbourne Zoo, had a good time. Very tired. But I refuse to take a nap, otherwise all established sleeping pattern will be disrupted.
1. What do you wear to bed?
In summer time, I wear either tank top/shorts or sleep naked. In the winter, I wear flannel pjs or nothing.
2. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
The right side.
3. Do you sleep with a stuffed animal?
Hell no. Unless you count John.
4. Blanket/bed hog?
Absolutely. But John doesn't like blanket, he sweats too much. Me, on the other hand, loves to be covered from head to toe.
5. Do you make your bed everyday?
Not everyday. Only when there are guests coming or I feel the need.

We have arrived
We have arrived in Melbourne, Australia safe and sound around 10am AU time (5pm PST), after stuck in a plane for 15 hours. Luckily my sister-in-law's family has DSL connection, so it isn't the end of the world as I thought it would. HAH.
So far so good, we had some too good for words to describe fish and chips. Yum yum. Already went off to do a bit of shopping. HAH, I just realized I have started talking a bit like Aussie.
Both kids did incrediably well for the plane ride. All of us had about eight hours of sleep on the plane, but for us it sure didn't feel like it. Both my neck and back hurt from sleeping on the airplane seat.
Will post some more tomorrow.
BTW, this is Liz. I forgot my pitas' password, and can't recover it, because I can't remember which email address I used to sign up. Silly me. ;)

On Saturday it's one of my coworker's birthday's. He always mentions that, during the year, "June 11th? Why, that's my birthday!", "Oh, it's your birthday today? My birthday is on June 11th!"
We decided to make today a special day for him, seeing as he won't be in the office tomorrow. So we decorated his cubicle for him.
That's our coworker crawling to his computer. We may have gone a little overboard ;)

Aw, man!
The Tigers lost again. We were behind all game and came back in the last quarter, but the West Coast Eagles hung on and won by just 2 points. Scoreboard was as follows:
1st
2nd
3rd
Final
Tigers
3.4
3.7
8.10
15.13 103
Eagles
5.3
8.8
15.13
15.15 103
We came from 7 goals, 3 points down at the start of the final term, held the Eagles to just two scoring kicks, both of them singles, but we couldn't quite make it.
Next Sunday we take on the Kangaroos, my brother-in-law's team, which is the game we initially wanted to catch when we're in Australia. We won't be in Australia now until the following Wednesday (6/15) so we're planning to catch the Saturday night game between the Tigers and the Adelaide Crows. Man, I hope we beat that South Aussie team. Victorians and South Australians have a huge rivalry, and it's not an overly friendly one either ;)

Friday Five
1. What things did you enjoy as a child that you no longer do?
Run long distance, not marathons, I'd just get out and run for an hour or two.
2. What things did you enjoy as a child that you still do today?
I golf and I still read, a lot.
3. What things do you do now, that the child you were never thought you'd like?
I only played Aussie Rules Football once or twice in Primary School, and it was not an enjoyable experience because I knew how the game was played but didn't know the rules. Despite awarding several free kicks against me for the same infraction, neither the gym teacher nor my team mates told me what I was doing wrong. I joined the LA Crows and played Aussie Rules here in Los Angeles, and had the time of my life. I don't play any longer (can't look after the family if I'm in hospital) but I still wish I did.
4. If you could go back to one age and stay there for a while, what would it be?
23 years old. I was on a 12-month deferral from college, I worked Monday to Saturday, 4am to 9am, and the rest of the day was mine. My dad was still alive and was reasonably mobile, and we'd often go out golfing together, usually 2 to 3 times a week.
5. If you could fast forward to an age (you do get to come back!) for a while, what would it be?
To what ever age I'm at when John Edward or Amber give us our first grandchild.
