    ain't life grand?

  • that's it?
    Sunday, November 30, 2008 08:23 p.m.

So...Thanksgiving weekend came and went. Took the kids to Justin's place and we had Bo Chon Chicken and pizza. Rest of the week was mostly spent at home cleaning up and watching tv...still recupperating from the bronchitis. Lots of naps because the codeine and the other meds are just making me so sleepy.

Mom and Dad are off to Taiwan again...they seem to be having a lot of fun lately.

Last night...had a sharp stabbing pain in my left side from coughing. Ugh. Just when I thought I was getting this all over with this happens. Afraid to cough because it is incredibly painful. No idea where this came from...hope it's just a muscle spasm thing.

Work...well, Tuesday had a "breakthrough" discussion that I am still suspicious of...not sure if the different groups in the company are really going to work together with me on future projects...but if we do, it would be great. We'll see if this pans out.

Not much else going on...just really tired of being sick. I just want to be better already. Ugh.

Oh...and the big news. I'm going to have a nephew soon!

Thankful for the little things...and the big ones too.

    no scabs!

Friday: The big news is that advances of my "secret project" came in...and it looks awesome. Was it worth all the trouble and the hospital stay for this?

Man...this weekend went by too quickly. Spent all day yesterday in Flushing. Went to the doctor and he gave me some more meds. And no more need for smearing on the antibiotics really? And I apparently have excellent blood pressure. 80/120-- isn't that supposed to be awesome?

Random food and shopping with mom. Which ended with me taking a crazy 4 hour nap. The new meds and getting up early really knocked me out. Got to see Hellboy II --which I loved.

Sunday: Costco run and watching football. The Jets and Giants are really cleaning up this year. Wow. Also watched 24: Redemption... all I have to say is...stupid ass kid!

2 days of work and Thanksgiving break...then back for 3 weeks and off until 2009. Whooo boy. Let's get in on the home stretch.

    On the mend...
    Tuesday, November 18, 2008 08:37 p.m.

It's been nearly a week since the "incident" and my face is healing. I am telling you--Neosporin and Triple Antibiotic Ointment are AWESOME. Just have to be dilligent about applying it.

So...I played Fallout 3 and watched TV--that's pretty much it.

I am down to my last three antibiotic (Biaxin) pills left for this bronchitis...and I am worried. I am only feeling slightly better and I am still coughing a lot. Not sure if I need more meds...or if time will really heal this.

Work... starting to slow down as the holidays draw near...but I don't think there will ever really be a major period of rest...ever. Ugh. Busy is good, I suppose? Staying employed is key nowadays.

Not much else really. Just concentrating on drinking plenty of fluids, taking vitamins, taking antibiotics...and hopefully getting back to 100 percent.

    Healing...let's get it on.
