Wednesday: Not much going on besides work. Just hectic and more hectic. Went to comic store with friend from work. Got Popeye's and haircut after and went home for dinner. Looks like my baby is going to Hunter with his friends...a huge relief if this is the case.
Thursday: Work. Hectic. Copyediting. Files back and forth shipping stuff, etc. Lots of stuff going on. Sick and tired of hearing people complaining about work...I'm living it up and doing well. I don't want to be surrounded by negativity and pettiness...I want to just go and do my job and do it well.
Anyways, after work went to Bar Americain to meet with KHD...it was cooooold. But hot dang, was she ADORABLE! We talked about work a lot...but lots of personal stuff...and um...I invited her to concert...and to see Juno on Sunday...wow. We are going to movie...and more?
I'm trying to keep it friendly...she's new in town and could use a friend. Hasn't dated in two years because of bad breakup...but man, I sound way more interesting than her old dude...who sounds psycho. Anyways, I'm not saying that I'm going to mix business and pleasure...but for now...I'm keeping it all business with a touch of play.
Besides, I am dying to see Juno...and why not go with a cute girl?
Heading out to Javits tomorrow...then cute family friend is in town...oy and I got an anime assignment I gotta write...yipes. Busy weekend.

Monday: Work...yipes. I am getting a cough. Lots of stuff shuffling about. Sending stuff out etc. Had business dinner with SS and CB at Otto. Might be able to work out something for both of them. Very good food and worth the time...I hope. The cute Aussie girl called me to thank me for books. Eeep.
Oh...and Glo ran into cute Asian girl...because she was carrying a company bag...and she lives on Glo's street. So weird.
Tuesday: Same old stuff. Got a ton of DVDs at Best Buy and later at Academy....Justice League and Beowulf the biggies...but the best thing was getting the Gutter Twins CD early! WOOOOO! So far loving it. Work bleh...Vicks called and wanted to take me out for laaaate bday dinner. Met up at Yokocho and talked. Man, some crazy stuff she is dealing with...and I made her cry because I got her thinking about work and how she needs to really stop being afraid and get working. I know people in the industry she wants to get into...why is she not getting her resume ready to go out? Come on! Get a move on, kid!
Cute asian girl--um...her last name might be my Mom's last name! OMG! We could be related like waaaaay back. So weird.
Need a haircut tomorrow...then dinner with Aussie Thurs. and Javits all day Friday. Oh man...stupid cough!

Saturday: Ugh...why was I up so early? Cleaned up a little and puttered around. Went to Costco with my mom and my aunt...took a quick nap. Then went to meet MT at 71st...she was over half an hour late. Ugh. Went to LK's place and met her friends and her bfriend...met these twins...apparently one of them was good friends with KB...and she told LK that she liked me...oh whoah. Weird. Anyways...Cute Asian girl from work was there and she had on this punky t-shirt that was off the shoulder...sweet jeebus. But we didn't hang much...strange.
Got home pretty late...watched SNL with Tina Fey...she is so hot! And the show was actually funny from beginning to end. I was stunned!
Sunday: Up late...did laundry and ran out of quarters...so there are clothes hanging up all over. Strange. TV and cleaning up most of the day...Oscars later...then crashing and off to bed for a busy work week. Man, got a lot of stuff to do.

Thursday: Work is still on a hot streak. Just left and right--getting companies closer to deals. By my last count there are 10-15 viable projects with clients...that's HUGE. I think my boss is very pleased...but until production is under way and we bill clients...it's all spec.
Met up with Elaine at bar...her friends came late...and well, the girl they wanted me to meet was cute, tall, but a little too straight-laced and we didn't seem to have much in common. Elaine's friend A--well, I had a crush on her for years...but man, what a nutso life. I can't even go into it...that's how nuts it seems. She's adorable and fun though.
Went to Chinatown to get Joe Shanghai with Elaine. We had such a good time eating and joking around. She even pulled out her phone and went through all her contacts and wanted to put me in touch with all her friends at applicable companies that might want to do books. How awesome is that?
I did get mild food poisoning...but from what? I wasn't feeling all that well all day anyways...but man...shao long baos are like my favorite food...number one. I can eat those every day.
Highlight--that cute girl I might work with? Well, we've been exchanging multiple emails. As in 4-5 a day so far. It's getting quite personal and flirty actually. Very strange...but I am meeting her for business dinner next Thursday...business before pleasure for sure.
Friday: DANG...that's a lot of snow! But still got to work relatively on time...and just a blur of activity with paperwork and sending out samples. LOTS of great leads and meetings getting set up. Just nuts. It's really pouring now. So much viable stuff...a lot in the planning stages, but wow. All my pitches seem to be hitting...awesome.
And the cute girl--KHD--more emails. She is so frikkin' witty too! Gah! I can't stand it!
And the cute asian girl at work...she wore this skintight green shirt today...and oh...I thought I would just start drooling in a puddle.
Left work...and client called on my cell...looking pretty...preeeettty, puhhhrrreeetttyyyy good. (I've been watching Curb Your Enthusiasm like crazy lately.)
Watched Anthony Bourdain in Singapore...and man, now I want to go! The food and the culture there...seems awesome. Chinese, Malay, Indian, and everyone there speaks English and Mandarin to some extent...I must go there one day!
LOST was awesome...great ending. And I think this one girl on ANTM worked at one of my old jobs or something. So weird! I swear I met her somewhere...but where?!?!?
And yes, I did pick up the New York magazine with Lindsay doing the nude Marilyn thing...and well...THOSE are real. And she is very freckly.
Going to LK's bday party tomorrow night...meeting with my work friends...but dangnabbit...are they downers or what? Just stop bitching about work all the time...bored now.
Cheryl Hines has totally grown on me...so cute! Time for Curb and sleep.

Tuesday: Was at Javits all day walking the floor...made a few major connections that I need to follow-up on...and also met with some folks we were working with for a long time...looks like that deal is going to go through! WOOOO! Hot stuff! Spent a long time there...and ran into that girl I met on the plane. We are going to have lunch and catch up...
Went with my boss and met up with our BOSS...at superexpensive restaurant. We chatted about work and sports and women etc...and total bill...500 bucks for the three of us. WOW...and we actually got work done despite being trashed at the end of it.
Wednesday: Crazy busy day with LK and MT's bday and a load of work to catch up on. So much stuff that needed to be done. And the intern I have to manage. TONS of stuff. But slogged through emails and followups and paperwork for another deal. Hot stuff! Gotta keep it going!
Went out for bday lunch and ran into...her. UGH. She gave me this stupid wave and I just gave a really sarcastic smile back. JZ thought she was really, really pretty. Ugh...not on the inside. Whatevers.
Came back and got ready for work...and cute asian girl came over to chat. Goodness. She looked so amazing today. Tight button down shortsleeve shirt with a little weird lace on the collar? Tight black pants. Oh man...she was just so cute. Talked for a long time...and we finally made dinner plans...and then she changed it to a Friday night. OMG...is that a date? Wow. Not sure.
Went over to Gracie Mansion for the mayor's reception thing...and met up with my aunt and her boss (who loves Brit comedy...so strange but awesome). Waited on line to take pics with the mayor...who literally had pics with 400 people...and gave a little speech at the end about Chinese people and Asians and diversity.
This supercute girl next to me is struggling with Chinese candy wrapper...so I help her and introduce myself. Turns out she arranged the event and was the PR/marketing person from her firm that did this. From Australia, only in NY for 3 months...wow...and we can do business. Lunch/dinner ahead!
My aunt's other friend was a really cool guy from UK. Business expert and he said I was a great salesman...sweet. We hit it off and will grab a pint and share contact info.
Oph's best friend stopped by and he's working at a jewelery store...we could work with them too. Crazy, crazy. Just so much.
Anyways...supposed to meet Elaine and her friend she is trying to set me up with tomorrow night...eh...we'll see. I'm kind of crushing on the girl from work...but man, is that a huge no-no. Hot streak...keep it going! Back to work tomorrow.
Boston weekend and more...

Satuday: Up insanely early and off to Boston. Got in pretty early and went to Newbury Comics and bought a ton of "wicked cheap" dvds and some cool toy things...including this HUGE Gloomy Bear that was super cheap and super awesome. Justin's friends tagged along and we left them with other people why my folks, Eric, and Char went to check out the construction on their new condo. Next time we visit we should be staying there. HUGE compared to where they are now. Really awesome. Had dinner at local Italian place and they had this bucket o' spread "cheez" and Ritz as serve yourself hors'devores...interesting...crashed super early. And no Xbox...oh, well.
Sunday: Got up and had brunch and took a short trip to Harvard Square before heading home. Justin stayed with his friends...but otherwise short trip... home...super tired. Cleaned up some and watched dvds.
Monday: Laundry and clean up...watched more "Curb Your Enthusiasm" ...I should be done with my 5 seasons by the end of this week or next. Went home to hang out with the family and kids. Then off to Best Buy and Target to pick up a few things...no Xbox however...anyways...got a ton of soda...so I should be set until spring? Who knows...went to dinner with the Miao's and had a good time cathching up with my "godsister" we definitely should hang out more. Came home to finish cleaning and getting ready for convention trip tomorrow. Short work week...but a ton of stuff that needs to get done. Pretty much it...where did my weekend go?
I just need to stay in and vegetate...and soon. Busybusybusy. Good...but tired. Oh...and my dvd backlog is in the hundreds by now...yeesh. I'm never going to be abel to get through it all...

Thursday: Yeah, yeah...Valentine's Day...whatevers. Went to the lingerie shop and met with the owner and his second in command...and we are in business. Looks like no nonsense...we are plowing ahead on this. Wow. That was that. Gave me a tour of the store and a "demonstration" of something that...I would have rather remained ignorant of...wow. Invited me to VIP V-day event...more on that later.
High on pretty much closing this deal...met with boss for lunch and other leads...talked about environmental book...and potential HUGE partner for that. Lots more to come.
CAG "cute asian girl" came over and we chatted. We always seem to talk about making plans...and then...when does it happen? What is up with this? Is she playing games or does she just not get it? Why stop in and chat every day in my office, why bring up going out to get steaks or going to concerts or inviting me to hang with her friends...if there isn't something there? So strange...
What is stranger is that MT came over and hugged me for a LONG time while CAG was in my office. Started playing with my hair and being weird...ack! What's going on?
After work, picked up T at the bar and took her with me to the store...wow...chocolate, bar, fruit, wide range of guests, half naked model, burlesque performers...but I had to work it! Talked to the boss, PR person, designer (who loves our products), etc... wow...this could be a HUGE deal. T started trying on these belt/corset things...even though she had on a sweater...yow. Anyways, spent a few hours there...and left...(oh, I got a nice shout out in the acknowledgments of the book...nice.) Ended up near the office for dinner...mostly fine, but she did get sad for a second...anyways...had a good dinner (on the company)and was home late. Not too shabby for a V-day...but no making out either. Sigh.
Friday: Working on the two deals...and then more got rolling. The business/exec company...got in touch with them in India...and they want to do a book! Sent samples out for them to pick and choose...and this looks like it could be a done deal as well! WOW! I am on a roll!
Went over to our imprint to say hi and then my editorial buddy basically hands me a deal at this other rock music related museum...just have to get him printing and shipping...and we credit for this. WOW. That's it? That easy?
AND...talked to the environmental group and it looks promising...one or two more conversations and we could be very close to this being DONE. Wow...this could be the big one. Hope, hope.
Toy Fair on Tuesday and I have an appointment to keep...looks like this could be another deal as well. Who knows if any and all of these go through? Just one after another. FANTASTIC...
And just in time for my evaluation...which seemed really fast and unnecessary since we just did one...but still...my boss gave me rave reviews...and all were 3 and 4 marks (no one gets 5s really)--so it was fabulous. And he says raises and bonuses are up to him anyways...so it doesn't really matter what HR says...but good to have a rave review on record!
Got a DVD, the SI Swimsuit issue (Marissa Miller is sooooo hot!) home, Indian food, packed for Boston, so tired...here comes the long weekend and after that...lots and lots of work fun...and hopefully signed deals.
Lord, I am blessed. It's been awesome. What a week of craziness.

Dang...what a day. Called up a potential environmental partner...think of the top 2 biggest--and they are sooooo close to a deal with us. I may know by Friday if this is a go...if so...man, all my hard work on this would have paid off.
ALSO...got some killer samples to show my sex/lingerie potential client tomorrow...that is if we are confirmed for the meeting...still haven't had a solid "we are on" yet...
My intern came in today and seems like a bright kid...still need to set him up with a few things...even treated him to lunch.
Also one of my other leads got back to me right away...even though they are in India...setting up a call and it could be a very quick deal if they are as cunning and entrepreneurial (spelling?) as they sound...besides they've worked with us before.
Got comics and some household supplies after work...came home and did a little more work...etc...just getting ramped up to tackle all this and get deal memos signed already.
Eh...Vday...whatever. Bah humbug.

Monday: Freezing bitter cold! But had a good day since I basically closed on my first big deal...worth maybe 50-100K this year...and possibly 250K+ at the end if all goes well. Still a lot to finalize...but it looks almost like a done deal! Went to karaoke with KY, Josh, Joyce, HK came out for a bit too. Had a great time even though it was short. Went to get Korean food and had the worst dol sot ever...had K food for lunch since my boss likes it too! Anyways, had a good time with old friends.
Tuesday: More work stuffies...booked a meeting with lingerie store owner for Thursday. Will meet him at his store! YEEESH! Anyways, cute Asian girl stops by and chats with me...and man, we always talk about going out to dinner...she was like ..."let's get steaks"...etc...so I never really know what is what...does she mean just us or as a big crew? What?!?! Anyways...eh...we'll see.
Also other friend at work has become addicted to the powers of my massage...a little too much possibly. whoah.
This one poor geeky girl in the office seems to be tagging along and the more she does this...the more my little group of friends seem to get annoyed at her...I feel bad...but it is kind of true. Patience is a virtue!
Also wasted a lot of time today...no dvds, no new clothes...just a lot of wandering around.
I want pancakes.

Friday: Wow...looks like I might actually be working a deal with sex/lingerie material...this could get intense! Had lunch with SR--wow...have not seen her in years. And there may be a way to do business with her company. Took a walk with LK after work to pick up her check because she did voiceover work for all these cartoons/anime! Cool...then got on train and ran into JZ and MT in the same car! Home, watched a ton of TV and cleaned up.
Saturday and Sunday: Got lots of sleep and finally--I think at least--I am healthy again. Not much besides DVDs ..."This is England" was pretty dang good..."Balls of Fury" was better than expected too. Cold and windy...so just stayed in and cleared out the DVR and did laundry. Not much else. Lots of work to do this week and karaoke with old co-workers tomorrow?
Got tickets for Gutter Twins for March 19th...who wants to see some Dulli with me? Excited !!!

Monday: oh wow...I don't even remember. Seriously...what the heck happened on Monday??? Um...
Tuesday: Work--blur. had lunch with editor working on graphic novel book and helped with lots of leads on that. Afterwards went to a book event at Borders. Oph, Jen, Cindy, Josh came out and we went out for drinks with some people from work. Good times. On the company dime too.
Wednesday: All day meeting and also interviewed first intern. Major thumbs-down. Barely interested...NEXT! Also Chinese New Year...so went home for dinner with family and found out Justin got into Hunter! wooo!
Thursday: Stupid frikkin' F train was late and I got in at 9:05 and missed my book. The editor that was supposed to present it (and I would field sales/marketing/PR questions) got sick! Anyways...follow-up emails for that. Interviewed this young guy for internship and we are hiring him. Seems like a good kid and hope he works out. Went to Cindy's going away drinks and cute Asian girl from work came with! Had a great time talking to her and hanging out...went to dinner and she paid?!?!? WTF! Anyways...I can't do anything because of work.
A TON of great leads this week and a lot of hard work. Just churning the stuff out. Closing on deals soon. I can smell it.

Whoah...that was a lot.
Friday: Stayed home and worked. Answered emails...and watched tv. Went to Harvest with the family.
Saturday: Went to new Fortuna with the whole family for my grandma's bday thing...then got a hair cut...then off to Jen and Ken's wedding thing. Found out that Jeff is working for ad company with potential client I am trying to reach. Then found out that Eric's friend Melody knows Jen...weird. Cindy and Elliott there also..Doris and Karl and all their friends that I became friends with at the wedding... talked to Pete and Aileen about Marvel stuff...awesome... left and came home and crashed..still running a fever and just gross and sweaty.
Sunday: Went to Eunice's brunch thing at Bondi Road...food was good and unlimited drinks! Next time I will get the weird Aussie burger with egg, beets, and pineapple! ...Ellen's baby is so cute. Glad to hang with Eunice for a bit and her friends..but too short...Went to Filene's and got my comfy plush blanket thing! On the way saw Dave Gahan! He was at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and it looked like he bought a mop. Weird. I didn't say anything...but man, did he look short. Then went to meet my folks at restaurant of their new friends...their daughter went to Stuy and used to work where S works now...strange. Folks wanted to set us up...but nah...she does like anime though! hahahah! Had a ton of food. Ugh... dropped Justin off at his friend's and came back to catch the last half of the Super Bowl...WOW...what an amazing game! GO GIANTS!
I remember when we were little and they won the last time...at Hsien's place with Johnny and then when they won there was a crazy snow storm and we stayed there for like 2 days... it was great.
Anyways...talked to T for a bit and found out I am one of three or four friends that she talks to all the time now....awww...that's sweet.
More...but I am exhausted and still sick...and the Nyquil is kicking in...long week ahead...oh, boy.

Man, I am still sick. I think it's the flu. Ugh.
Been insanely busy with work...and one of my deals fell through at the last minute because the CEO of the company wanted to cancel the project. That's it. Done.
But had a bunch of great new leads...so it may pan out in the end with something else anyways.
Birthday...uggh...sick...went to dinner with some friends from work and then went to the bar to set up. WOW. Ended up with 30 plus friends coming out...and my parents! Played a decent set and just strained to sing...but it worked. I was sweaty and feverish...but it was fine.
T was such a sweetheart that she bought a cake and snacks...and my worlds collided with friends from old work place, new job, HS, etc...just really great to have so many people there.
Had a snack with T, her friend, Eunice, Paul, Steve...then had a few drinks. Went to T's place for a bit...and then took a cab home.
Spent all day Friday watching tv and emailing for work. More work functions coming up...oh boy...been really kicking it into overdrive...but I love my job and I will go to the mat to do whatever I can.
Anyways...dinner with the folks...and wedding reception and family stuff tomorrow...Eunice's brunch for her bday on Sunday...so lots of stuff coming up.
I need to rest and get healthy though...oy.
But all in all--- dang...it was such an up and down year...now it's on the up...and I want to keep it that way...still no luck with finding someone for the long run...but eh. I got other things to keep me busy.
