Kinda funny stuff... yes, only KINDA!
10:06 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2000
On Saturday, my friend, Brian McGrory, and I rented some movies for one of our so-called "movie nights." Usually we go out on Friday or Saturday and rent 2-3 movies and stay up all night watching them, and it's cool with us because Brian's probably the one friend that likes movies as much as me. We tend to rent one or two movies that we want to see or wouldn't mind seeing and then one bad movie just for a guilty pleasure. Anyway, we rented three movies on Saturday: the Coen brothers' "Barton Fink" (also famous for Fargo, The Big Lebowski, etc...), "Friday the 13th part 7: The New Blood" (guilty pleasure), and a movie called "Hell Cab." Now, I know what you're thinking: Hell Cab? You're probably thinking that it's about a killer cab or something crappy like that. But, actually, when Brian and I saw the cover, we immiediately remembered a movie called "Chicago Cab" with the EXACT same people in it (John Cusack, Gillian Anderson, Julianne Moore, et al.) and we both had wanted to see it. We questioned the name change, though, and laughed about it as "Hell Cab" is so CRAPPY! What was just as worse is that the catch-phrase on the case said "Do you dare pay the fare?" How much more off-putting could you possibly get? I mean, the movie is about a Chicago cab driver (Paul Dillon) and one hectic day as he picks up a various assortment of people and hears their stories and insecurities and life troubles, etc... It is a drama/dark comedy, and and also an independent film, a good one too, despite that lame title change. I even went to Amazon.com to check ou the customer reviews on it afterwards and saw that everyone gave it a perfect rating, or very close, except one guy who gave it ONE STAR because he though it was gonna be a stupid horror movie instead of (as he put it) "an artsy piece of crap." That shows how utterly MISLEADING this new title is, it caused this MORON who wastes his life watching SHIT like the Lepracaun movies and the horror versions of Pinnochio, Jack Frost, and Uncle Sam! People like him make me sick! Anyway, that's my semi-humorous story, hope you semi-enjoyed it! Till next time...
Useless blabber
11:43 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2000
Damn, sometimes life is boring! All tonight I've been bored off my ass! I like to sit back and listen to music, but sometimes (hardly ever, though) I'm just not in the mood. So, I play some Playstation, but that soon gets tiresome. So, I go online. But, mind you, I'm not one who really enjoys the internet alot, I just like goin to my cousin's site and some of his friends', but that's about it! I don't believe it's all that fun. But, when you want to kill time and you have nothin' else to do, I guess it's a healthy and safe alternative. I really love working on web site but lots of times, I have no idea what to put, so that gets tiresome too. Then, I also like drawing, but it pisses me off after a while because when I sit down to just sketch, all the stuff turns out lookin' like shit. I know sketches aren't supposed to be perfect, but I am sometimes a perfectionist. In order for me to draw really awesome pictures, i have to take my sweet time. The result turns out great but it takes so damned long to complete that it grows... you guessed it: tiresome! Maybe I should learn soem patience and start to draw some really cool stuff or just keep on sketching so I can start drawing awesoem stuff that much faster. (I've heard that it takes Greg Capullo, the AWESOME drawer of Spawn, about 30 seconds to a minute to draw a full picture of ol' Spawny-boy! Man that's awesome!) I also tend to draw a little like my favorite drawer Jim Mahfood, but my stuff has its own twists, so I don't feel like I'm rippin' him off. (It'll take awhile before I can reach his status as a most-amazing artist!... a LONG while!) What I really get pissed about is how bad I am at drawing girls sometimes. Guys I can almost always do perfect, but girls, for some reason, are so much harder for me! But, hopefully, I'll get better the more I practice! Anyway, that's my enough ranting for right now. Oh, and before I go, while I'm typing this, I'm listening to Vast Music For People. You can check out my review of it on my Music page and then GO BUY IT! Definitely a must-have. Well, I guess I'll go now, and I'll try to do more of these updates to just get stuff off my chest. It's kinda relaxing! And it will give some reading for the 3 people that come to my site each day! Yeah, I know, it's overwhelmingly popular! (By the way, I meant that last sentence to be read in a sarcastic tone...) Anyway, enough bullshitting, I'll let you small amounts of wonderful people get on with your individual lives. Until next time...
Lusk
12:36 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2000
If any of you have already been to my music page as of late, you might have noticed that this is my band of the week. There is also a very interesting story in how this band got to that position too. About 3 years ago, I saw the video for "Backworlds" on the old MTV show "12 Angry Viewers" and loved it! The video was just amazing and I thought the song was ok (back then, I had a little bit different taste in music). Then, about 3 months later, I read an article about Tool in one of my cousin's magazines which mentioned their former bassist, Paul D'Amour (he left after the release of Undertow), and how he had left to form a band called Lusk. Then, I remembered the video that I had seen a while back. After that, I knew that I had to find their CD. But, unfortunately, I held off on it and, as a consequence, forgot the band's name. So, for about a month trying to remember, I finally got on the Internet and looked up a Tool bio to once again find the band that Paul had formed. This time, I wrote the name down! Anyway, I think that exact night I went to Ranch Records and bought the CD. When I finally played it, I was bewildered. The band sounded nothing like Tool like I expected for some reason. Instead, it was pop with Beatles, Pink Floyd, 60s influence. It contained fully orchestrated songs with about ten or more different instruments on each track. I thought it was just ok. After about 3 months or so, I traded it in back to Ranch. Then, a week later, I was wishing I hadn't! I really wanted it back for some reason. So, about a month later, my cousin saw it used at Wherehouse Music for only $1.99! Suffice it to say, I bought it instantly. But then, I just put it away and didn't listen to it for almost a year. Now, cut to the present. Last night I decided to listen to it again. I became enthralled by its magnificence and beauty. Since my taste in music had changed, or expanded, rather, since the first time I bought it, I now loved it! The whole thing too, not just a couple songs... the entire album is beyond amazing. I would suggest anyone to buy it and not be a fool like me by getting rid of it so quickly. And now, long overdue, they are my band of the week! Sadly, though, there is not ONE site dedicated to them, so the link you will find on my Music page goes to the info of the CD at Amazon.com. The customer reviews there might be usefull too. Anyway, that's my story, so, until next time...
P.S. Please take a few seconds to vote on the weekly poll on your left. Thanks.
Good Riddance
10:14 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2000
As some of you might notice... and by "some of you" I mean "no one"... I got rid of the DVD link on my Explore drag-down-menu box at the left of my page. Why this is is because I never do ANYTHING on that DVD page! It just sits there and I never feel like posting anything on it. So, just forget it even ever existed and put it out of your mind! It served absolutely NO purpose! On the other hand, I am constantly making updates on my Movies and Music pages... more so even than on this page! Oh, and please take a moment to take the weekly poll over to your left here. I really wanna know what you think. Thanks.
The Olympics
12:03 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2000
Now, God knows I'm not the biggest sports fan in the world. I like watching football and LOVE tennis, but that's about it. But, for some reason, I have always been drawn in by the Olympics (summer in particular). I don't know why either. Most of the "games" played at the Olympics, I can't stand to watch live. Maybe it's the way they're filmed and broadcast that gives them a feeling of intesity. Maybe it's the back stories that they always give that makes you feel a connection towards the participants, whether they be from the U.S. or any other country. But, to me, the Olympics have always felt like this grand, monumental event. I'm sure lots of people just see it as another television show and mindlessly flip past. Me... I can't get enough of 'em. Sure, I'm not an Olympic freak, trying to watch every single second being broadcast. But I have been watching almost every night since they began, about 3-4 hours straight... and it never gets boring.
Yep
11:12 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2000
Well, I really don't have much to say, I just wanted to put up a new post on this page, that's all. I'm always updating stuff on my other pages, but, for some reason, I never have anything worthwhile to post on this'un. I will say that I got the Cd "tight" by Mindless Self Indulgence today! I hurried to get it after I read that had been discontinued. Best Buy only had one copy left! And all the other retail stores didn't have any! So, thank God I got it when I did! Anyway, that's about all I have to say right now! I know, pretty mind-expanding, huh?
Life
12:01 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2000
I am kinda depressed right now. Not because anything bad has happened, but because I have gotten one of those glimpses of how shallow life is. This glimpse came while watching the MTV Video Music Awards. I always watch each year, hoping to see some funny stuff, but always feeling cheated and at a loss because, all in all, it sucked.. but yet I still have to watch! Anyway, the glimpse came just throughout the entire thing... watching all the wrong bands and singers being nominated and watching all of those same wrong people actually win. The glimpse was this: There is so much beauty in this world, yet many human beings concentrate on just what's popular at the time and, for some reason, are attracted to the stupidest people who absolutely have NOTHING to contribute to ANYTHING. Girls swooning over boy bands because they are hot, and for no other reason, The Thong Song being extremely popular for a reason that is totally beyond my grasp of comprehension... and so on and so forth. Over and over at these types of awards shows are the same bands and same groups... nothing beautiful at all. And then I listen to one of my albums and it affects me where it counts. I don't like them because everyone else does or because I'm attracted to any one of the band members, but because it strikes a chord within me. I think that's how every one should view things. But, it just doesn't seem like that's the way it works, and I guess that's what's making me depressed. I know, I know, it may sound stupid and humorous... but I am being sincere. And I just wish that everyone had at least one album or one thing in this world that did that to them. I just don't see how a sappy love song written by complete strangers only to be sung by a bunch of baby-faced twenty-somethings in order to make girls yell and scream and go out and buy their CDs can be beautiful. Maybe I'm just not able to understand it, I don't know... this is justmy opinion, one I highly believe in. I guess I can be happy, though, knowing that there are albums and that there is music that can do this to me. Albums I can pop into my player and just lie back and revel in its beauty. Right now, as I'm typing this, I am listening to one of those albums: Finger-Eleven "The Greyest of Blue Skies." It is just a beautiful and compelling album. I would highly recommend it to anyone. But don't be turned off by their first single from it ("Drag You Down"). That song is nothing like the rest of the album.. it's an OK song but doesn't seem to fit. Anyway, enough with the plugging, but, seriously, it is a breathtaking album. It is music like this that keeps me from concentrating on all the shallowness. I also thank God for laughter. Without that, I don't know what would happen to humanity. Thank God for Conan O'Brian, The Simpsons, and others. Thank God for artistic and thought-provoking movies such as Magnolia, American Beauty, and The Truman Show. Without movies, I wouldn't be the person I am right now.. they are an important part of life. Thank God for family, during the good times. Thank God for cats and dogs and pets in general, for cheering you up when you're feeling down just by being there. These are the things that make life beautiful. And when you find something you love to do and want to do it for the rest of your life, that's what makes life fun and worthwhile. Screw all those part-time jobs that you drudged through just to make some money. I'll praise God when I get out of working those jobs and start doing something that I LOVE for a living. I guess you just have to block out all the shallowness and concentrate on what makes you happy and no one else... I guess only then will you truely be happy. ...............Just speaking my mind.................I hope some people actually read this and agree with me.....hopefully I'm not the only one who feels this way................................
Good Times
01:23 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2000
Well, the Onelinedrawing show happened today, and it was as good as I expected it to be, possibly better. The "intimate" living room setting was very personal and gave Jonah and his friend Matt a chance to really interact with us. (Us being the 20 people who showed up.) The music was great, as expected, and Jonah and Matt were among the nicest people I've ever met, thus confirming what others have said about them. Anyway, thanks to everyone who showed up! It was an AMAZING show. And to those who didn't come, you really missed out... and if you don't believe ME, go to some of the people's web sites who also experienced this. Anyway, thanks again! Until next time...
The Show
10:26 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2000
As most of you probably know, since you all basically come from Doug's site, Jonah Matranga (lead singer for the AWESOME band Far) will be playing at my house on the 6th, err... tomorrow... or if you're reading this tomorrow, then today! Anyway, it's gonna be pretty cool. I don't think that, if you come, you'll be dissapointed. (Unless all you like is HEAVY music and nothing else). Jonah is an AMAZING songwriter and has an awesome voice. His solo project is called Onelinedrawing. Also, his friend Matt is going to be opening up for him and he'll play for bout half an hour until Jonah comes on. I encourage you, though, to come to the whole thing... it'll just be a relaxing show, just a good time of sitting down, or if you prefer standing, and listening to some really good music. Also, if anyone has a guitar amp, please bring it, as Jonah only plugs his stuff into the club PAs that he plays at. We might end up getting a lot of amps, but I don't think anyone will be that dissapointed if their amp isn't used. So, anyone is invited, and please make sure you bring bout $5 for donation and some extra if you want to buy any CDs, shirts, etc. Anyway, the show is in Salem, OR and the address is 918 5th St NE, right around the downtown (Salem Center) area. The approximate show starting time is 3:30 in the afternoon. And if you need any further directions, don't hesitate to call me at (503)362-5574 or, if you happen to go to South Salem High School, get in contact with Doug Sherwood... if you don't know Doug, refer back to proposition #1. Thanks to everyone who shows up, and I promise you'll have a good time.
Thank yous

I know I don't post much here alot, but I think I'm going to start doing more on this page than just writing updates I've done on my other pages. But right now I'm just gonna take some time to thank everyone who's ever visited my site and I hope you like the EXTREME changes I've made to make it more neato looking. I will continue to do these changes and hopefully come out with a web site experience that would make a nun denounce her faith and confess to me. Of course, that is going a little overboard, so just thank you for visiting and you can Email me anytime you wish for any suggestions or comments. Anyway, thanks again and enjoy my web site.
Workin' hard or hardly workin'?
12:13 a.m. Sunday, August 27, 2000
Well, I'm finally tryin' to make my site kinda cool. And, I guess it's comin' along pretty well. I like the changes that I've made and am proud about it. Hopefully, it will serve to make anyone's visit to this site a more enjoyable one.
Boring
11:39 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2000
I havn't written in here for a LOOOOONNNNGGGG time. Maybe it's because I'm bored of my web design and want to change it DRASTICALLY! Or maybe it's because NO ONE ever comes here. Oh well, either way.. I guess I'll add some new entries to my music and movies pages. Forget about my DVD page.. I don't know why I did that stupid thing... it SUCKS. I love DVDs, but it's kinda boring and pointless since I already have a movies page.
Who Cares?!
09:07 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2000
Well, I havn't written on my site in a while, so here I go (not that it matters, since NO ONE ever comes here, but WHO CARES?! And even though Doug gets SO MANY visitors at his site, it's not seeming to help with him having a link to my site. Probly cause his friends don't like me or don't know me, but anyway...): I went to the Weezer concert last Saturday and it was AMAZING! Other than that, I havn't been doing much.. just working and spending money. OK, I'll be going now... if you are reading this: Thank You! and read the other entries or explore my site or... WHATEVER! 'Till next time... -Trev

More Stuff
09:24 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2000
Well, I saw X-Men today, and it was awesome (as expected). You can read my review on my Movies page. Also, in case you didn't see, I have a Music page now, so while you're at it, you can check that out too. Nuttin' much else, so... 'till next time... -Trev
Doug and his friends
11:45 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2000
Goddammit, I put a counter on my web site like a week ago and it's only up to 62! Whereas my cousin Doug put up HIS counter like 4 days ago and it's up to 96 or something! Probably because so many of his friends go on the Internet and he tells 'em about it whereas MY friends are HARDLY EVER online, so I never get a chance to pass on the information! Of course, Doug does have some loyal friends! So do I, but just not on the Internet! Anyway, hopefully some will come to mine since they SEEM to like Doug's, whereas I have used the word "whereas" too many times in this entry, so now I will go. P.S. Read my other entries!... -Trev
Memories...
11:28 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2000
This past Friday, I remembered the name of that CRAPPY band! (In case you don't know what I'm talking about, check the entry below this one!) Anyway, the band's name is The Dillinger Escape Plan. Man, do they SUCK... as I have mentioned before. I'm just gettin' to writing this cause I've been muy busy (For all you Spanish dropouts, muy means very... or is it mucho?...hmmmmmmm...). So, remember that name (if you must) so you don't make the mistake of buying one of their albums! Of course, if you like that kind of music (Kindred Spirit: Six Feet Under [ugh]) feel free to WASTE your money on it. Oh, and if you have any appraisals or complaints about my opinions, go ahead and EMail me! Then, I'll post your mail along with a response from me! (Please, EMail me, I have nothing else to do on this site right now!) Also, if you are a friend or a member of any of these bands that have been aforementioned, a little word of advice... please don't hurt me! Until next time... -Trev
What's Up With Crappy Music?
12:28 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2000
Today, I went down to Wherehouse Music and was lookin' around for some CDs, although the ones I REALLY wanted I knew I wouldn't find, because Salem only has about three CD-only retail stores. (The ones I was looking for were either of the first two Nuclear Rabbit CDs, Spite "Bastard Complex", and any CD by the band Cave-In). So, being one to hardly ever leave a CD store empty-handed (a curse, I know) I kept on looking around (for nothing imparticular) and saw a couple that looked promising (only by their covers, mind you), but none of them were available to sample! So, I put 'em back and then saw one that really caught my eye, one that had an explanation of what the band sounded like and, by the explanation, it sounded like I might like them. So, I picked it up and took it to the cashier, also inquiring about Cave-In since I knew the others weren't availble to order there. Success! They were able to order one of their albums! Then, happy as a clam, I bought my CD, knowing that Cave-In was gonna' come in about two weeks! (Unless something happens that is!) Anyway, when I got home and popped in my new CD, I was appalled! Never before had I heard a band suck as much as these guys did! (They were so bad that I already forgot their names!) The music was OK at times, but the singer was a combination of filth and grime! They sounded like knock-offs of the extremely bad death- rock band Six Feet Under, and if you've heard of THAT band, you probably know what I'm talking about! And if you're a fan of THAT band, I pity you! (Of course you have my blessing to pity ME as well!) Anyway, I knew that I could not have the extreme suckiness of this band infect the extreme goodness of my CD collection. So, I took it and a couple other CDs that I didn't like much or never listened to, and traded them in at Ranch Records (a local CD store). They gave me $15 cash, two dollars more than what I paid to buy that AWFUL CD! So, in my opinion, buying it was both a blessing and a curse. The blessing: I got rid of some CDs that would've just rotted away on the shelf and might, eventually, find a good home. The curse: I let my ears fall prey to horribleness. Of course, that is my opinion, and I'm not one to be in the position to criticize much music since I don't play any instruments or don't sing in a band, but I know what is good, in my opinion, and what is bad, in what should be everyone's opnion! Until next time... -Trev
What the hell?!
12:49 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2000
Okay, that's the strangest damned thing! I was over at my cousin's tonight and I checked my old enter site, the one that I couldn't fix, with those DAMNED frames, and when I got there, it was all fixed! I nearly shit myself! There I was last night tryin' to fix it for nigh-on to an hour, and then I come back the next day and it's perfectly fine! So, I thought that it might just've been MY computer, but now, when I check it out here, the damned things fixed! So here it is all fixed and here I am talkin' like a damned hillbilly! Jesus H. Crackers I'm stumped! So, I guess now I got myself two enter pages... oh well... ka seraw seraw I guess. Anyway, until next time... -Trev
Another review!
04:18 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2000
Well, I just got done seeing The Patriot with my dad and my sister, so you can check out my review on my movies page. Other than that, talk at you later... -Trev
Slowly Going Insane
10:49 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2000
GOD! I was trying to redo my enter page and messin' around with it to try and do new things. So I decided to make it frames, little knowing what that was. So I put the HTML for frames in and it came up fine... then, I decided I didn't want it so I went back to change it, but it would never change back! So there I was, trying to change it back from fucking frames for nigh-on to an hour... then, finally deciding to say SCREW IT and just start a whole new enter page and leave the frame page to rot! So I had to put in a new name and password for Pitas and all that crap and then start a whole new enter page which I finally got done... and now, as soon as I can, I gotta tell my cousin, Doug, to change his link to my site so it doesn't go to that FUCKING frame page!! Goddammit that pissed me off! I wish I knew enough about HTML so that I could change that damned thing! If you wanna see what I'm talking about, click on this: FUCKING FRAMES. So, now the site is at http://bungle1.pitas.com instead of http://bungle.pitas.com. Anyway, until next time... -Trev
Keep On Addin'
12:55 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2000

Up and Runnin'!
01:55 a.m. Sunday, July 2, 2000
Well, after going through the HELL of switching HTMLs and URLs, my site is back up. The Movies and DVD sections have been changed a little as I have also been adding lots of stuff. I hope to soon have a music page also. Only on this page, though, will I post dates and times since I don't find it necessary to post 'em on the other pages. Well, that's it for now... hope you liked the Enter page. Until next time... -Trev
