I love this site.It has lots of cheesy animated graphics and midi music which are frightening in their own right but they accept reader submitted stories and then you have to decide if they are true or false. It's really fun!

Paranormal Confessions: Ouija Board Stories
(http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Vault/6071/Ouija.htm)

Friday, September 24, 1999

For me there is nothing scarier than Ouija Board stories. Okay this one is really good. This Faith girl had quite a time with the Ouija Board and the spirits she contacted. What I like is she tells it with humor and says stuff like:

"Even when I would say a dud like "hey, I bet you guys are board to death," the pointer would vibrate as if it were laughing hysterically.

The end is pretty scary. I was shivering about half way through. You can also post your experiences there. Go see it.

Breaking Wind

What a gas! Farts that were so unbelievable they became the stuff of urban folklore. This really smart guy D.L. Ashliman has this humoungous site filled with myths, folklore and legends. He spends all of his time translating stuff. Eeeek! Anyway, there are lots of ghost stories and such but I liked the fart ones because I thought they were funny in a scary way. It's all from the University of Pittsburgh. I didn't know they had such smartie pants people living there but I guess you learn something new everyday.

International Ghost Hunter's Society
(http://www.ghostweb.com/index.html)

Friday, September 24, 1999

Shiver. This site contains tons of reader-submitted photographs and stories describing real-life ghostly experiences.

"This photograph I snagged from off the wall at a bagel shop, i knew what that fog was the moment I saw it. There's no smoking allowing in this shop so I know its not that, anyway, it would look different."

Once under their spell, you may want to join the Society and even build your own home-brew Magnetic Field Ghost Detector.

Halloween:Myths,Monsters and Devils
(http://www.illusions.com/halloween/hallows.htm?)

Friday, September 24, 1999

This is an argumentative and well-documented response to allegations that Halloween is "satanic and evil."

"This article is -not- intended to address whether or not Satan exists, nor to show that 'witches' are all nice, grainola-eating vegetarians and tree-huggers who wouldn't harm a fly, nor is it an attack on Fundamentalist Christianity, but rather a discussion concerning some of the so-called 'facts' offered in some of the anti-Halloween publications."

Warning: site contains really annoying midi of the Halloween movie theme. But, thankfully it isn't looping.

Michael Myer's Homepage
(http://www.halloweenmovies.com/index.html)

It was a cold Halloween night in 1963 when six year old Michael Audrey Myers brutally murdered his 17-year-old sister, Judith Margaret Myers. He was sentenced to the Smith's Grove-Warren County Sanitarium for his brutal crime. There, he remained locked away and dormant for 15 years.
