Wednesday, February 23, 2000 It's a Peeps Show!
Hey, if anyone wants to send me some Peeps for Easter, feel free! They don't have them here. :(
Tuesday, February 22, 2000 Kingdom of peace Hundred waters
The artist mentioned in the above story lived in New Zealand, and just recently completed a public toilet for the town where he lived. New Zealand is very big on public toilets, no trying to slink in past the gas station attendant when you're not buying any gas. Anyway, this toilet was so cool, I would have enjoyed living there. I just hope no one damages it.
Monday, February 21, 2000 High School Alumni
Hey, I got my first message from someone I used to go to high school with from the High School Alumni site. It was from Jo Clark. The thing I will always remember Jo for is that she would always stick her finger in my dessert, whether it was a Dolly Madison pie (remember, with the little pictures of Peanuts characters on them? And the chocolate pie looked like...you know), or a Hostess cup cake. Ah, junior high. I miss a lot of my friends from school. Why do we lose touch? I guess we just grow up and move in different directions. We are able to get away from people who knew us those many years, and be someone else if we want. It's good in some ways, get out of the rut. And now maybe with these alumni websites we can keep in touch again.
Sunday, February 20, 2000 Happy Fun Ball!
Man, that was one of the funniest "commercials" on Saturday Night Live. Link comes from Pop Culture Junk Mail.
DO NOT TAUNT HAPPY FUN BALL!
Friday, February 18, 2000 Boobs & bras (From The Obscure Store)
Happy Birthday, Eric, on the 17th!
Tuesday, February 15, 2000 Ask Dr. Weil
Happy Birthday, Austin!
Last night they had a show on here called Nude Zealand. It was right after Will & Grace at 8:30. It was about nudism and sun clubs in New Zealand, and they pretty much showed everything. Everyone had an all over tan, and were very relaxed. Hmmm...
Monday, February 14, 2000 Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Also, Happy Birthday to James on the 12th!
And, we say goodbye to Charles Schultz, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Roger Vadim, and Tom Landry.
Saturday, February 12, 2000 I just love the look of this site - it sparkles!
From the MISTERPANTS site, a site for Japanese t-shirts. This one just really makes me laugh.
Friday, February 11, 2000 So long, Jim Varney
Wednesday, February 9, 2000 I am never buying a pair of Naturalizer shoes again!
I bought a pair before I left, and now that I have been interviewing and stuff, they are just ripping my feet apart. I know there is usually a break-in time for shoes, but this is ridiculous!
Also, we say goodbye to Derrick Thomas and Doug Henning.
Monday, February 7, 2000 Hey look, Mr. Pants mentioned my pita!
Happy Birthday, Sophia!
Last night Simon and I were sitting watching Logan's Run, and I heard some noise. I'm like, "what's that noise?" We turn down the volume, and it sounds like a dog is trying to hack a leaf up or something. Then we turn on the outside light and look out, and there are two hedgehogs right outside our porch, "getting busy." One runs off, and the other just stays there. We have a good laugh, go back inside, and hear them at it again a few minutes later. They finally knocked it off, and I saw them wandering around the yard later. The only other time I've seen a live hedgehog was when I took Stephanie to the Peter Rabbit exhibit, and it was in a little glass cage eating cat food.
Sunday, February 6, 2000 Happy Waitangi Day!
Well, we went to an American car show today. Someone tried to sneak a Toyota in, though. There were a lot of very nice cars, and some of the cars even have left hand drive. If your car is over a certain age, you can keep the left hand drive if you import it. Otherwise, you have to convert it to right hand drive. Just keeping you informed.
Saturday, February 5, 2000 Bucket #6!
Thursday, February 3, 2000 I miss you, dad
Wednesday, February 2, 2000 "Don't nobody go in the bathroom..."
OK, has anyone ever heard of the group Boney M? Simon swears all their songs are classics, and I'm like, huh? Never heard of them. Supposedly one of their songs, "River of Babylon" made it to number 30 in the US, and I looked up a .wav file, and I still hadn't heard it. Lemme know if you have.
Also, I have archived the month of January, so if you missed anything, just click on the archive button up in the top left hand corner, and check it out.
