I started using Flickr, and it seems to be working pretty well. I started by uploading all of those Oregon pictures I posted a million years ago on the unbelievably crappy coded-by-me Yahoo page, so now you can browse them and not get a migraine. Also see pics from Bookfest 2003 and some from my old New Orleans trip with Dexter, plus a bunch of everyone's favorite diabetic kitty. More to come in July, when I get more free uploads. Check it out, yo.

Very nice article
(as always, really) from Cringely about phishing and what we can do about it. Phishing involves bad guys sending e-mails purporting to be from eBay or PayPal and then getting marks to give them passwords, etc., via lookalike web pages. Law enforcement has a devil of a time tracking these folks down, but Bob has the answer: spoof them back. Every time you get a sketchy e-mail, follow the link and just type in any old thing that comes to mind. That should drive up the cost of doing business from basically nothing to at least something, and if enough people do it, we might be able to drive them out of business entirely as they're flooded with false data. Whee!
