So I was Googling "in space hear scream" to see if I could figure out whether the Alien tagline used "noone," no one," or "nobody" for something 826-related -
Oh, hey, I haven't really told too many people yet, but I took a job with super-awesome kids-writing center 826 Seattle as their (our? I'm not used to jobs) part-time volunteer coordinator. Yes, I am happy, yes, the people are fantastic, yes, it's a pay cut, yes, I am erasing some of my karmic debt. I am still freelancing, so I won't be sharing meals with my cat, but when it's not horoscopes it's volunteer recruitment, management and retention, baby. I've missed show business.
- so anyway, one of the top hits was "In Muppets in Space, everyone can hear you scream." If you're thinking of making some fast Cafe Press money, that would make a great t-shirt.

Wow.
This blog entry by Barack Obama (sort-of about the Roberts confirmation) makes me wish he could be our king. The third paragraph is well worth several reads until it's fully absorbed, but the whole thing is breathtaking. This man gets it in a way nobody else I've ever read does. And now I get it a little better. Go and read, go and read.

Great news
for math haters and lovers alike. Trig reduced to algebra. Though I guess if you hate algebra (and if so, what kind of monster are you?), you'll hate this too. Must investigate further.
