Might not really be worth reading the whole thing,
so just get this bit from an article about a child porn analysis unit attached to the Toronto police department:

Apparently I can still be shocked
by the pernicious venality of the Bush administration. Know someone who supports Bush? Show them this - from Time magazine, no less - and see if they buy the administration's line. If they do, put an ugly black spot by their name in your Big Book of Respect for People's Intelligence, perhaps followed by a note in purple ink: "DRANK THE DAMN KOOL-AID."
I'm wondering if I should send that link to my dad. Jill will probably talk me out of it.

I'm back in the desktop saddle. The nice man came and repaired the phone jack as best he could (turns out that the geniuses my landlord hired to fix my phone line used speaker wire instead of phone cable), and now I've got my clunky-slow desktop machine hooked back into the damn internet. About time.
Jonathan once told me that he'd heard that any bad habit can be broken by a three-week fast, but five weeks later I'm right back where I started vis-a-vis Web browsing and pirating. Where's MY meeting?
