Shoulda wrote this last night. Jill's out of surgery and doing as well as we could expect. Lots of pain. No, what I mean is intense, consistent pain. Her opiate backlog is catching up with her, unfortunately, and she's sucking down truly heroic volumes of morphine. She's quite a soldier about it, but come on.
Supposedly she took her first post-surgical step about an hour ago. She oughtta be back home Tuesday. More info to come as it develops.

OK, c'mon, I'm no happier about this than you are, but I have to share this e-introduction I just got from a spammer:
Hi Blight.
Possibly you are waiting for this creative mail, is it right?
I think yes!
My Lass assistant I have Very good news for you.

Interesting article
about research on depression. (From the Washington Post - do they still require mini-registration?) Money quote: "St. John's wort fully cured 24 percent of the depressed people who received it, and Zoloft cured 25 percent - but the placebo fully cured 32 percent."
I'd like to think that the media will go somewhere with this, but I expect they won't. Tell your friends!

Now that's a fine company name. (Thanks to the under-reported Bifurcated Rivets for the link.)

I don't know who's even reading this any more, but I have an ad to place:
35yo male w/cat seeks roommate(s) for inexpensive centrally located housing starting no later than 7/30/03.
Know anyone who's looking and might get along w/me? Let me know. Thanks.

My Photoshop alarm didn't go off.
