Well all right then. I've been cautiously wary, but mostly open-minded, about potential GMO risks. This blight, only a few years after commercial GMO use, bodes ill for the biotech industry.

Why do I love my apartment? Here's another reason: I was sitting on my bed watching the little snow-rocks (they don't look like hail to me, but I'm an idiot) fall and hit my fire escape. I saw Lisa the building manager step outside carrying a bag, clearly not dressed for the cold, and I thought maybe she didn't realize it was coming down so hard. Then she started sprinkling rock salt on the steps - maybe ten minutes after the snow had started sticking. She's superhuman.

Well, what do you know? I found a bug in pitas. Two entries down, I wrote "A delightful cartoon" - see it? There's a link attached, supposedly. This should link to it also. If it doesn't, I direct you to copy this into your browser:

This is the best film review I've ever read. I can't get enough of The Onion AV Club.

Amazon made money! Maybe they'll keep paying me to write. Oh happy day!

Madness. Sometimes this web medium creates happy viewing accidents. This image starts out funny; after scrolling down to see it all, one finds that it ends up disturbing. Lileks' comments below are OK, but the picture is the star. Does it make you think of mermaids?

What a sweet turnaround. I haven't had to deal with a religious solicitor in quite a long time, but this gives me all sorts of ideas.

HA. Ha HA ha. I don't even know this M-Soft campaign and I'm laughing. The smiling lass makes it extra cute and funny.
