There is nothing worse than writing the dreaded personal essay, especially when you have to keep in mind that some uncouth asshole is going to "peer edit" it. Bastards. Ah, and Spiderman comes out tomorrow. I suppose I'll go see it next weekend, seeing as how I hate crowded movie theaters and all.

I can never add too much sugar to grapefruit juice. I know it's a horrible habit, and I don't even mind the sour taste at all, but when you put the sugar in and the drink fizzes up, I love it so much. Soooo much. This pointless point brought to you by the song: Alice in Wonderland - In a World of My Own.

Haha, people say the strangest things on AIM late at night. Unfortunately, I can't put up any quotes, since a surprising amount of my friends know about this blog. I have a recital tomorrow, so I suppose I should be getting to bed now.

I've been so freaked out over my Euro exam, the other night I woke up at 1am for no apparent reason and started muttering about Russian history. I really need some sleep and a vacation...
Today was somewhat nice though. I picked up a sci-fi book called "This Alien Shore." While I was buying it, this scary guy came up and started terrorizing one of the cashiers by talking about werewolves! It was kind of funny though XD
And the quote of the day is: "Don't mess with me on this one, man. If it's one thing I know, I've got pretty legs."

Next weekend is the Festival of Books at UCLA, and despite the fact that it's always so crowded, I think I'll go for at least two hours on Saturday. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the lecture Ray Bradburry is giving, but there are a few other interesting things I might get to see.

I was thinking of entering May's MAG, but all the ideas I've had for the character (Nocturnal Umi) are horribly cliched. If anyone has a good idea for a picture of a demon/waitress, I'd really love to hear it. I also finished a picture of Snape and Lily (I keep hearing so much about this couple!) but I'm not sure if I should CG or watercolor it. And coming soon: crazy quotes by crazy people I know.

I was really going to make a somewhat funny entry today, but I've been so disoriented lately I never got around to putting it together. Oh well u_u... However, I heard a great French song on the radio and I was able to find it on the internet. It's called "Living Room" by Paris Combo in case you're interested.

I finally got a chance to rent Ghost World, which I really wanted to see since I read the comic. I thought the adaption was well done, even if it didn't follow the comic exactly. I was happy when they kept the letter to Josh in, though. "Dear Josh, we came by to fuck you, but you were not here. Therefore, you are gay." The most surprising thing was that quite a few of the scenes were shot at my school, my favorite art room included.

As much fun as I have taking these weird quizzes, I never though I would actually put one up on my blog. However, I like Eowyn, so here it is:
Eowyn

Eowyn

If I were a character in The Lord of the Rings, I would be Eowyn, Woman of Rohan, niece of King Theoden and sister of Eomer.

In the movie, I am played by Miranda Otto.

Who would you be?

There is something incredibly silly about sitting home alone and singing (or at least trying to sing) Italian opera to yourself. Maybe because the cat is staring at me funny while the dog sings along.

This chilly weather is really starting to bother me. Spring is supposed to mean at least weather in the seventies. Am I the only person not benefiting from global warming?

A shout-out is in order for a certain friend that was forced into going to Calculus Camp. I feel for you. However, the people that looked fit to burst at the mere though of Calc Camp should be put out of their misery. No offense to math fanatics, I swear.

I was working on some Harry Potter fan art today, and I like it enough that I might even get around to scanning and CGing it. And thanks to someone, I think I have a new favorite song. Fool's Garden - "Yellow Lemon Tree" is a very cute song :3.

Today was depressingly gloomy, which didn't help my mood much. The cat's fondness for me seems to have died as quickly and as unexpectedly as it sprung up. All she does now is glare at me through the mass of fur. The worst event was the loss of my favorite key-chain. It was a plastic rubber chicken, and I have a nagging suspicion it wasn't lost so much as stolen.
