Misanthrope.org
Another journal thingee, which doubles as a nexus for journals. Anyway. This guy's webdesign is amazing, although, I dunno if it's worth the italics. I wish I could do webpages like this. But I lack the skill, patience, motivation...blah, blah, blah. But I don't really feel like gushing about it, and I just finished this book called "Name the Baby" (By Mark Cirino), that's very much worth reading - and it put me in an utterly weird mood. I'm going to work on that sidebar poem.

Hellboy - Paranormal Investigator. Hellboy - Pulpish Hero. Hellboy - Funny-looking, red, tailed, with sanded off horns. Hellboy - Comic Book Demon! This is the official webpage for the Hellboy comic by Mike Mignola, which I've recently discovered is a most worthy read. Pulp! A classic monster comic, with a Creature-from-the-Black-Lagoon sidekick. Hoom. A real box full of evil, 'kay...

Comics. She makes webcomics. They're bleedin' cool. Frickin' cool. Kickin' cool...all kinds of "in'" cool. Go. See. Laugh. She's demented. She mocks goths. I think I'm giddy. Right, no more coffee for a couple of days...
Faerie Tales
A website devoted to discussing the evolution of faerie tales, and how they develop and change over the generations; beautiful images and a strong design.
...a free association...
You know, the words "and if you're really lucky" sparked a free association. Mmn. Free association. They made me think of the song "Deus," by the Sugar Cubes - Bjork's old, Scandanavian band. The lines: "He put me in a bathtub / made me squeaky clean / Really clean." They just sort of popped into my head. How odd.
malleus maleficarium
Y'know, I think ancient books of power or significance should go touring - travelling from city to city, holding concerts so that people can bathe in the arcane language and yellowed pages. And if you're really lucky, maybe several books'll go on tour together! Can you imagine: a Malleus Maleficarium/Necromonicon 12-City Tour, including some Canadian dates? What a groovy thought.

I've recently started listening to the music of Elliot Smith, thanks to Sienna, and this is a site she showed me that has tons of information about him - including lyrics, discography, photos, interviews, that kind of thing.

it is streaming / before your eyes / in perfect synchronity / with the background music / you hear in your head / when you stare at the wall too long / it is like marigolds growing / by clockwork mechanisms / inside the wall / as the music is played / in your spinal cord / in your cerebrum / and you start to scream with the beat / coldly the iron in your blood / twists and turns in agony / stealing life / ice drips into water / the puddle grows as you watch / dripping out of the tap / "ah, i probably don't even have a toilet paper spirit." / who thought of colour schemes?
