Aki, I'm delighted to find your blog (I'm going to link ya, s'alright?). Boys Next Door actually gave me the sensation of a heavy heart...it's like that saying, heart-strings: so sad and good. Wow, Leigh gave her Viscious shrine a great looking new look (no point in trying to play up on Viscious' good looks, since he...uh...lacks it oh so much). Oh! *Is so happy* I see roses and stars *____* I love your new shrine! That sounds like a whacked out manga; something I would have fun reading...(can't wait) M-chan neat new layout: I think the overlaping squares are such a cool idea! Okay, I gotta go and practice my presentation. I'm hoping to get it running smoothly by 9 PM 'cause I really want to see that follow-up ep. of Angel. Add-in: This Asian Abuse clique, well, bothers me. I don't think it's abuse when parents spank their children for being a bad/pest. I don't think the webmasters should have singled it out as a special Asian behaviour because spanking is practiced by parents from all sorts of nationalities! The webmasters also say that "In China, wealthy men are permitted to take a second wife, if they can afford it" without citing where they found this piece of information. What rubbish. Polygamy was a custom--just like the binding of the feet for girls--of the rich until the Communist party abolished it when they came into power (1949). Whatever criticsm one can heap on the Communist party, one must admit that bigamy, polygamy, and other forms of "promiscuity" are NOT permitted by the straight-laced current party. Look, here's a CNN article on new anti-bigamy laws in China for those who think I'm just BS-ing (like the forementioned webmasters.) Okay, I'm done.
*Rem gets on her high horse again* Okay, I'm not sure if I even want to bother e-mailing this webmaster for posting 6 of my Furuba wallpapers on his site without...you know...providing a link back, either beside my name, or in the links section. Yeah, now that I think about it, that's really rude, right? For some of those wp I did a crappy job on them, but nonetheless, I did spend an insane amount of time on a couple of the better ones. And, lol, he even used one of my huge-assed wallpaper as his site's background. I guess I'm a bit exasperated by this guy's lack of courtesy. Mmm...Glay....I like. Wow, all 5 vol. of Blade arrived today. I found the soggy package half buried in the snow. Thankfully, the pages were undamaged. I'm reading #6 right now. I'm shocked by what a ruthless bastard S---a is.
I feel bad to criticize someone for their clique idea, but there is a rather popular clique out there that memorializes dead anime characters; you join to express your appreciation for a character who, though dead, is not forgotten. Lovely sentiment but terribly inconsiderate: say you're like me, an unwary visitor, and you've never seen Eva but you'd like to someday. Well, thanks to this clique, you get a list (neatly categorized) of main/minor characters who die in the series. Of course, I suppose I could've avoided being spoiled by not clicking on the members page. However, the clique's layout does feature a character from Eva whom I recognized. Well, that's just my opinion. I seriously debated whether to put an URL--to warn people not to go there if you avoid spoilers like the plague (like me ^_^;)--but then I suspected that you'd most likely click on the link despite my good intentions, despite your good judgement, because humans are naturally curious and voyeuristic creatures. At least, most are. Occasionally, you'll hear of an admirable freak who is perfectly contented with ignorance.
Yay, I'm back! And I did EVERYTHING on my freakingly long list. Ouch, the old nurse who drew my blood had slightly shakey hands; I kept feeling the needle rotate inside my vein. It didn't hurt then, but now it's aching a wee bit. I mean, she's a nice and sweet lady, but...
Ooops, this is an add-in for the entry I just made a few minutes ago. Haha. I linked you and Sanna. Interesting individuals from far away destinations. And lookie, Trinity's new location/domain! Laine dear, I was so saddened to hear about your friend's mother's funeral. I was reminded of a similar experience. *reaches across cyber space to pat your shoulder* Oh...RE your e-mail (thanks!) I'm still befuddled by this whole file sharing thing, but thanks for sending me those links. M-chan, I can't say that the new div layout is my favourite but I'm impressed that you're trying it out. Someone less enterprising would have stuck to familiar tables, but not you! Has anyone seen Witch Hunter Robin? I think it looks absolutely fantastic, and there seems to be a whole whack of hype surrounding it, but I can't find any info on its North American release date, what company has liscenced it, how many episodes, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I hate it when I explain my ideas to Dad, he shoots it down, then I take up his ideas and then check it with him, and he shoots it down >_<;; Wowee, Say Bone has an Xtv MP3 that I didn't even know I was lacking. Wonderful. But beware, for those who are waiting desperately for X-4 (March 25th, pre-ordered XP), or who haven't yet been able to see the series, listening to "Tada Hitotsu No Nozomi" may cause you to burst a capillery, yes Xtv has some terribly good songs. I ordered 4/5 more volumes of Blade of the Immortal; hopefully they'll arrive tomorrow and in the near future. I'm really excited! I need to finish reading Emma and Great Expectations for an essay. Oh. My. God. I have so much reading to catch up on. I'm so sorry to hear about your nasty encounter with this Ron person. He sounds like a real bully. *hugs my Amy-chan* Ranting is good, yes, very therapeutic. Ranting is like taking a knife and slicing it into a particularly dastardly musquito bite; isn't a nice sensation, feeling the evil humour seep out of the cut?
I've been working on this Friday's "My Last Duchess" presentation and I'm just going crazy trying to find an original angle. I love the poem, truly I do, and I can see what I would like to say about it but I'm fumbling idiodically for a place to begin. *smacks forehead* Booohooo. Downloaded more Glay MP3s...hmm, good.
Lol, this list by this girl is kinda racist but it's so true that it's funny.
Enthousiastically plugs Rubie's new layout. Subaru looks absolutely divine!
Okay, this woman was a fucking retard for saying that Americans are "bastards". Dumbness personified. I can't believe she was elected to parliament with that kind of attitude and indiscretion. For some odd reason, I felt like drawing. I haven't picked up a pencil/brush/crayon since highschool ended and I'm so out of practice. Anyway, so far I've done 3 sketches. In vain, I was running around the house, trying to find my watercolours/acrylics and NICE brushes but I can't find any of them! Ahhh! So you know what I'm using? Printer paper & mechanical pencils, accckk! I hope my supplies not in the garage 'cause there's a 2 foot high snowbank outside the side door, making it impossible to go into the back yard. Ælmihtig God, we finally finished translating The Dream of the Rood in Old English today. Sorry but that was so boring. I hope The Wanderer will be more interesting. I always like discussing Shirou-kun, and the other 999 random topics with my baby girl ^_^. Wow, your grandma is visiting? That's so sweet, I hope she has a nice stay. Laine, how did you download all those manga? Rephrase: how can I get my hands on Trigun Maximum? What's "irc"? Rubie, I got your mail and I'll write back this weekend! *glomp* It was good to hear from ya. Ack, gotta go. I'll check if Kinkos offers scanning service.
Woah, Leigh, that spammer at the SS Forum is actually kinda scarry! I just hope he/she doesn't start spamming us thru our e-mails.
Hehe, I ran out of meds during the weekend, so my heart rate is fast again; that with the combination of coffee and Dir en Grey is making me rather psyched at the moment. Okay, thanks to this scanlation site (http://www.sakura-crisis.net/), I've been reading Kaoru Yuki non stop! I still haven't gotten into Angel Sanctuary, but I read and loved Boys Next Door (my favourite story so far) and Kaine. I am so impressed by Ms. Yuki's artwork...which brings me to my next point: go see Amy's beautiful new layout at A.NET! Gorgeous image editing! I finally got my Timon/Lear essay done...well, duh, I guess I had no choice since it was due today. Allow me to say something totally dumb and fangirl-ish. KING LEAR IS THE BEST F***ING PLAY EVER!!! And to think that I missed the chance to see Christopher Plummer play Lear at Stratford last year *slaps forehead*. Let's curse those Morai hags!!!
Me: (walking to subway) Sorry about that rant.
I'm sorry to hear about your recent nasty, work place encounter. Hopefully, that person will leave you alone in the future--I mean, for his own sake of course, heh. BTW, fantastic DNA layout. I've never seen you create this kind of a Pollack: grungy: movement-filled layout before--it's very interesting to look at! I cannot believe that it's almost Friday. My "vacation" (Reading Week) is almost over. I haven't even done one "enjoyable" thing (other than spend more time on the internet which is fun, but staying inside the house 3 days in a role makes me inevitably cranky). Shit, so much work. About 50% is still undetermined, so I still gotta work hard. Shit, I don't want to go back on Monday. Shit. I've been having the most amazing dreams lately. Not THAT sort of dream. Naw, rather, a page right out of H. Rider Haggard or Bram Stoker. I really don't know what is triggering these dreams. It's not like my life is very interesting at the present...actually, everything is pretty normal. Paul! I might not be able to come to the UTARPA showing tomorrow. Gomen, I still have the SMJ DVD you lent me >_<;; I hope you don't need it too urgently.
Wowee, from this BOTI (Blade of the Immortal) site, I finally saw a pic of the elusive, reclusive creator Hiroaki Samura. *Rem goes Homer-ized "Hmm...Donut..." drool* Been reading scanlations of Angel Sanctuary and Yami no Matsuei. Wah! I can't get into these two series at all. I am horribly confused by AS. I don't know anymore who's male, female, good, evil, live, dead, etc. Boohooo...writing essays are like drawing teeth for me. And this one is damned hard!
I'm taking Spring Collection off hiatus! Quite a few new Furuba related wallpapers, mp3s, links added so please check it out if you have the time. I was just thinking about how the end of this week's Angel resembled the end of the new X installment (which, against my better judgement, I read about at that site...I mean, great site, but no need to spoil the unwary blog traveller with a URL, eh?). Yup, that's the extent of my musing on that subject. OMG this is a wonderful wallpaper of Shigure! I recommended my Mom to read some of my favourite web manga like Schism, Bite Me and Your Wings Are Mine. To my absolute astonishment (and delight) she said she enjoyed them! Is this is the same fire-breathing, dragon lady whom I call mother? Interesting how anime can bring people together. While my passion for Star Trek distances us.
BTW, thanks to Mom, I got cable maybe 2 weeks ago, so now I can finally enjoy Ch. 2 of your manga without my computer freezing. I enjoyed the latest installments very much, especially the intro of Kitoku. Downloading songs are also much easier. Before, it used to take 30 minutes to download a 4 MB song, now, seconds.
Well, I'm home 'cause it just got too cold and freaky at ROBA. Happy 20th birthday Laine-chan!! I adore the new, brite, big and yummilicious layout!
I was peacefully working on my Shakes. essay, on Mom's laptop when she starts bitching at me. Initially, she told me I could use it, and then she started to grumble about how I should be using my PC instead of hers. So, I told her that I won't be using her laptop. And then she flew into one of her weekly fits of rage. What was I supposed to do? Except adopt my Dad's method of flying from the house when she is in one of her moods. Yeah, so here I am, at Robarts, and feeling rather hungry and pissed. She told me as I was walking down the street not to come back tonight. Err...Robarts closes at 12 AM. Maybe I'll hang out at the Coffee Times across from Locke Library (near my house). I'll continue to work on my essay....or, if I finish that, maybe work on a fic. Sorry to bitch about my Mother like this, but if I start complaining to Dad I'm afraid he'll get pissed and get into an argument with Mom, which always ends with her getting mad at ME. Go figure. Hope I don't get robbed or something.
Thanks guys...anyway, other than the stupid long Doctor-waits, my life is going on as normal^_^. This may appear to be redundant to those who already know about this site, but this girl makes herself kick ass costumes, and she's really photogenic too. Gee, I can't think of anything else to write right now. |

A hidden Water Master in front and a Sakurazukamori behind is enough to make any X fangirl happy. BTW, those illegible, faded texts in the main pic are lines from Machiavelli's The Prince (ch. 17). Arigatou Amy-chan for looking it over!
