)TECHNICAL DETAILS(
pitas.com--my host & a good place to blog (well... most of the time). All images are hosted by feffiCOM! My blog has been online since Aug. 30, 01. *wooo! -_-;*

And I can feel the change in the wind...

Laine, hope this term hasn't killed you--we haven't talked for ages! And your blog is...dead ;_;

Bon voyage Trin! Best of luck in the Air Force.

Savvie...that's a GUY? *gasp* Love the new layout, very summer-y!

I skipped my math quiz today 'cause...well...'cause I was feeling lazy and I hadn't studied. I'm busy preparing for my Bio and English presentation on Thursday and Friday, respectively. The Bio is going to be easy; it's a very relaxed atmosphere. But I'm nervous for English since I'm supposed to be leading the class in a discussion on a Harold Pinter play. Creepy, mysogenistic-erotic modern shit. My written prep is pretty much done...and I'm usually not too bad with public speaking, so it should go fine.

I ordered "Blade of the Immortal" #2, 3! I'll be broke by the time I get the whole series, but at least then I'll be a happy bum^_^.

NEwho my lovelies, I've got to go and do my homework now...and start studying for my finals! Yikes!!!!

<-----April 2, 02 + 09:16 p.m.----->

Said I know she's not that fox--y.

I think I pronounce it maan-ga, and yes, "mon-ga" just doesn't click for me either.

Mary I love The Importance of Being Earnest to death! I read it about 4 years ago on vacation. I brought it with me everywhere I went, the beach, eating out, everywhere. Then I forgot about it for a while, and a couple of years ago, I saw a movie adaption, which was so highly dissapointing that I abandoned Oscar Wilde. He's a cool dude though, way ahead of his time. BTW, I love all the new wallpapers you did!

I had to go to a cocktail party at one of my Dad's old professor's house. As I was preparing for it, I realized that I couldn't fit into any of my nice clothes *gasp*. Anyway, so I got kind of freaked and ran to weigh myself...and Oh My God, I had no idea I had gained so much weight this year! FYI, I'm at 136 lb and climbing. Wah, what have I done to deserve such a punishment!

The party was a bit drab, but I did get to play with a Tibetan Singing Bowl...

Anyway, better go and tackle a mountain of homework. Happy Easter everyone.

<-----March 30, 02 + 10:30 p.m.----->

New site, and stuff.

Awww, thanks for the encouragements Di!

Heh, and the communist thing IS weird. Seems like everytime I venture to add my opinion to a "grown up" coversation, my parents shoot it down or say that I'm too radical, or too left or too much of a hypocrite. Actually, I rarely talk to my Dad now, and when we *do* talk, it's either a very civilized report over what I'm doing in school, what his summer schedule is like....or a very verbal fight ending with me hurling the phone onto the bed (^^;;), kicking the wall and stabbing at a pillow with a evelope opener. This is baaad. Hopefully it'll get better soon.

Amy, thanks a lot for the sweet comments! I think last last week was just one low point followed by another, and you know what they say about hitting the bottom...no where to go but up. I hope that's true! Ohh...I love the adorable new Usagi layout for Lullaby! I'm highly anticipating all the new projects you've got planned!

Mary, I did NOT know that Yoko Kanno is Gabriela Robin! Holy Smokes..."Arcadia" is one of my all time favourites. Congratulations on getting a cool job!

Trin, my copy of "Blade" arrived a few days ago...two thumbs up! The art is even better than they say it is^_^. Also, I love all the new galleries that you put up in the last week (wooow...that's a lot of new images!)

Oh yesh, I finally opened the new clique, Sidekick, that I was talking about before. The layout IS garish, but hopefully someone will join anyway...since the site's feeling lonely for the lack of members! XP

<-----March 23, 02 + 07:47 p.m.----->

Bad Day, Really.

Horrible day at school, don't really want to talk about it. Started to smoke again...and it's allllllllllllllllll my fault, although I do NOT understand why my mother thinks I'm a communist!

Well, here's a site ya don't get to see everyday. An "elite" clique (yeah, another one) featuring Tori Amos' "Cornflake Girl".

Gawd.

<-----March 19, 02 + 07:56 p.m.----->

Uhh...what do I do?

It's the middle of the night, I'm writing an essay, and I hear a strange, shrill beep. 10 minutes later, there it is again. I go downstairs to investigate. Nothing. Then, as I am about to leave, there's a beep again! Ack, so finally I realize that it's the fire alarm running out of batteries. Alright, no biggie. I'll just get a new set of batteries and plug it in, right? Wrong. I have no idea how to remove the cover. When I touched it, it started to...vibrate. Oh dear. Shall I just let it beep? Baaaaaaaah.

<-----March 18, 2002 + 01:06 a.m.----->

Site Stuff

I moved the collective to Rubie's domain, a couple of days ago, y-aay! Here's the new location: http://www.feffi.com/echelon.

<-----March 17, 02 + 12:10 p.m.----->

Spilt milk, whatever

Paul...you have FB up to 20th ep?!? Ack, unfortunately, exams are next month =_=' You know. At any rate, we gotta catch up soon because I still have your SMJ tape...er..from last year?

I had a massive influx of french and bio work last week so I didn't end up coding the layout for the clique. Good thing, 'cause today I made a new and improved one. It'll be up soon? In the meanwhile, I updated my poor little forgotten Obiichi shrine, Masculinity.

Well...I failed that math test. I don't have it back yet, but I know intuitively that I failed. It was a hard test to begin with (since the course average for the last two were so unusually high), and I hadn't prepared for it that well anyway. Pooooh. I hope I passed. I really, really hope I passed! Pathetic, huh? I've never had to hope for a passing mark in math since I can remember, and now in university, my standards have sunk so low -_-;;;

Speaking of my university....I saw on the local news station that there was a murder in the campus area--in broad daylight. Beware of the Harbord St. Ripper! Two, or three Xmas ago, a student discovered a dead body in the basement of the med building, just like a proverbial detective mystery, except without the glam. My academic woes pale in comparison to what the victim's family must go through now.

NEway! I gotta start looking for a job! Truth be told, I've never had a real job before, if you don't count nannying. I've volunteered a lot, but I've never worked at a coffee shop, or flipped burgers, or waited on tables, etc. However, because I'm approaching 20, and technically, have no real work experience, that looks bad, if not down right pathetic, on my resume. After exams in April-May, I'll be sending out applications if procrastination doesn't get to me. I also want to volunteer at the ROM (Royal Museum of Ontario)! But if I don't get a position there (a very probable possibility), I'll volunteer at the hospital again. The hospitals are always short on free labour. This summer is going to be very busy for me; I'm planning on taking Chem in the summer. All 4 fucking months of it. I also have HAVE to get my drivers's liscence. My G1 expires next year, or something. AND I want to breed cockatiels! *snicker* Yeah, I wish. Whatever happens, I hope I can stay busy 'cause idleness translates to depression^^;

<-----March 14, 02 + 12:21 a.m.----->

I haaaaaaaaate tests!!!

I'm going cRaZY here studying for this impossible math test! So many insane formulas (formulae?) to memorize. Not only do I have to review all the special angle ones, but I also have to memorize all 20+ integration formulae and the antiderivatives too! And know how to apply them! They're like the same but opposite things, right? Ick. Ick. Ick. Ick. It's on Thursday @_@. Oh God it's on Thursday.

I'm so sorry to hear that your test didn't go well! Don't fret 'cause I'm sure you're going to nail the next one. Whooo....the new Count D layout is gorgeous! It's a badly needed blast of spring, I love it lots!

Rubie, you're alive! I got your last message and I'll respond as soon as this crazy week is over with. Ohh...you're at a model UN? That's really neato! For several years in highschool, I was on the debate team and went to SOMA, a Canadian version of your thing. It was really fun (in fact, Sal even attended one year), and a great opportunity to polish your public speaking skills. Have fun!

Di, SOG's newest layout is awesome! The coding and black silouette-ish design is terrific! Ohh...I also love the new look for ENA--you've been a busy bee lately!

I've been downloading a lot of MP3s! Yesterday I downloaded Rinbu Rev, the Enterprise opening and some Cowboy Bebop tunes. Unfortunately, my connection is antsy slow, so I can't download much.

Guess what? This morning I went online to Chapters and ordered a volume of Blade of the Immortal! This series is my newest obsession, and I can't wait to finally be able to read it. I just wish I had enough money to get the entire set.

And lastly, by the weekend I hope to have a brand new site up. In fact, it's the much un-awaited clique (I finally decided upon an idea ^^;;). I have two uncoded layouts ready, and one of them is, of course, a tribute to Blade, though neither look good. Well, I hope you'll join despite the the ugly layout.

<-----March 5, 02 + 04:58 p.m.----->

Quickie Bloggie

I got Choirgirl Hotel; was surprised by the diverse and interesting sound of the CD, "Spark" is so sad. And of course, "Pandora's Aquarium" is a w e s o m e. Caught half an ep of QAF last night while studying late for math, but was highly dissapointed. It was...boring. I dunno, I guess I'm just not enjoying 2nd season as much as I did the first. The single highlight of the ep was when Emmett jacked off for his internet audience. LOL! Peter Paige is such a humourous actor!

Sav, I didn't know you watched "The Guardian"; I watch it too when I get the chance. Nick is way too cute. How does one put up MP3s?

<-----Feb 26, 02 + 11:03 p.m.----->

Midnight rants

Another entry after blogging only hours previous? Well....umm...you see, I'm pretty bored with nothing much to do right now. Finished my immediate school crap for tomorrow, Winter Olympics have ended, no VOY or TNG on currently and am too bankrupt to call Sal. University life is so expensive and merciless! I racked up a bill on overdue library books just like that. Eeeeeeehhhh!!!!!!!! *millions of sweatdrops*...ironically, recently, I've been thinking hard on how I can cut back on my expenses because there are several items on my "wish list" that's been knawing at my psyche for the longest time: #1. From the Choirgirl Hotel CD () and #2: Trigun artbook (). Must have them come hell or high water. Or scarry credit card bills.

Sal, I'm listening to the CD mix you made me for Xmas. It's awesome, "Iris", "Borrowed Time" and "Pandora's Aquarium" and "The Rose" are lovely. On the sappy side but that's alright 'cause I've been quite the sap recently. How's life in the mountain? Look, I saw the "Shining" tonight and I thought of you^_^;; Call me if you still have some extra cash, eh? Pretty please?

Woah, I checked out Enterprise's new ep listing @ startrek.com and apparently the scarry Vulcan madame sleeps with a highly un-Vulcanish Vulcan. WEiRd. This series is so weird. But it's ST, and for that, anything goes.

Anyone who's becoming a cynic of the current condition of X will get a kick out of Amy's lattest entry. Yeah. My interest in the series has been steadily dwindling; basically, I just want to know what happens to Yuzu and I could happily retire the series from my list. Currently, I'm becoming more interested in Tokyo Babylon (now more than ever), Trigun (of course--I don't think I'll ever get sick of this series--at least I hope not) and Escaflowne (which IS a surprise since I thought I wasn't interested in it anymore). And of course, I love Furuba, and I think I'll buy the DVDs when they come out, but it's more of a "well, if I had it, I'd be happy but if I didn't, I wouldn't lose sleep over it" type of thing.

David Usher is so darned hot--even though he CANNOT sing and his music vidoes are low-budget kooks. What's "kooks"? No, really, I'm asking you. Anyway, Usher's a Canuck and Canuck singers are becoming trendy. I've never been very patriotic (since I still consider China my "home" country), but my views are changing little by little. It's probably the uni thing coupled with the Olympic thing. No doubt it'll pass. Heeeh...surely every Canadian knows that "I AM CANADIAN" beer commercial by now?...because when I was in France, a French person that I'd only met asked me if I knew this family or that one. Canada is small compared to the France but it isn't small enough that I would know every Canadian family by surname. I also remember this not-so-little American boy (from Maryland) telling me that Canada was an American state. Sure it is. I'm sure the Queen of England would have a few words to say on that matter, but who cares about her, eh? Ohh...and my very favourite. A couple from CT thought that Pierre Trudeau was the current Prime Minister of Canada. Trudeau is...dead and he hasn't been the PM of Canada for over two decades.

Anyway, I forgot what my point was and I certainly didn't mean to offend any Americans/Français...but seriously, I'm not exagerating here. Well, gnight folks, the blog is gonna be pretty quiet from now until next week since I have a big math exam coming up which I seriously need to study for.

<-----Feb. 25, 02 + 12:44 a.m.----->

Wow, what a show!

Love the new (mint-toned, french-flavoured) layout Laine! And Sav, you have a new layout too (so green, grunge and gorgeous)! The funny thing is, I made a layout for Bab yesterday...and it was also green. Lime green to be exact. Weird coincidence, eh? Anyway, I'm holding it off for now, March's layout will be the long put off chibi Kenshin & Sano that I was talking about months ago.

Mary, I'm really glad that you're okay. Gosh, what a fright! *hug*

Ack, tomorrow, I have to return to school. My reading week was a complete waste, didn't do much at all. I did read ahead in two of my classes though, so that's something, ne?

Oh yeah...the Canadian team won. YAY!!

<-----Feb. 24, 02 + 07:12 p.m.----->

Another night at the ballet!

I just came back from another ballet performance with my Mom, actually, we left before the third programme (Sleeping Beaut, Act III) since we'd already seen it before and also 'cause we were extremely starved. It was a nice night altogether; my Mom (and Dad for that matter) and I don't have a typically "cozy" relationship, in fact, I suspect most of my friends find us a little on the chilly side. I know Sal is deathly terrified of my Mom...yes, you know you are. But, once in a blue moon, we "bond" for an all too brief interval, and then it's terribly sweet and wonderful. After, the rest of the time, it's back the norm^_^.

I just saw a recreational skate by Salé and Pelletier; they're so cute! The entire country is so proud of them. AND, I *just* read online that it's going to be USA vs. Canada for the final hockey tournament. I love all my American friends, but I'm waving the invisible pom poms for the Canucks too, whooo!

Owww...I got notice that Spring C has exceeded its bandwidth for the day. How bummy! Umm...I think I'm going to upload half the gallery onto my geocities/freeservers space. However, thanks a bunch to the wonderful feedbacks from you, you and you and you!

Before I forget...new link! Kachi's blog is so funny, the layout made me laugh too. Hey!

<-----Feb. 22, 02 + 11:09 p.m.----->

Rain, rain, why why?

What I'd like to know is why it's raining in February. It's...so wrong.

Anyway, I uploaded hundreds of images last night and this morning *whew*. Spring Collection my Fruits Basket gallery is open, yay! Umm...well, Shigure's gallery isn't up yet but that's because my computer needs a break and I have a lot of images of that man. Go visit and tell me how you like^_^. It's really pink just to warn you.

<-----Feb. 21, 02 + 05:33 p.m.----->

Finished Daughter, *whew*

I finished reading Daughter of the Forest this morning and I've got to say that this book was terrific. For début novel. I loved how Marillier incorporated a lot of Celtic folklore into the story, as well as the interesting contrasts between the Irish and British culture of the, what...Dark Ages? I'm not too deft at pre-Elizabethan British history^^;; However, for having such a spectacular beginning and middle-development, the ending was, IMO, just awful. It ended like a trashy romance novel! With the heroine marrying the big powerful overlord and living happily ever after. Bah. How come in these novels, the girl always ends up with the tall, rich, nobleman and not his landless, half-insane younger brother? Humph.

Ack, this is the first time I'm online today, and it's already getting late...

QAF is on tonight!! Joy to the world.

<-----Feb. 18, 02 + 10:16 p.m.----->

Wish we could be on

Thank you for the lovely encouragement! *hug* The two profs actually raised everyone's marks by an extra 8% because of how dismal the average was...thank God for little miracles. Ohh...I want to read "We the living", in particular! Wow, I LOVE the new layout for your Karen shrine! The black intertwined with the gold-orange is extremely striking and beautiful. I'm going to save the extra blatherings for e-mail time^_^

New links...hey there! I like your layout (I've never seen that picture of Subaru before). Subaru sure is pretty even when bloodied. Thanks for the linkie! And thank you for the link as well!

Well...recently I've been totally bombarded with fantasy-related themes! First, I caught the second part of the mini-series Mists of Avalon (which, IMO, was trashy), then I break out my Loreena McKennett CDs, then I went and bought Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier. The book is wonderful so far (I'm past the middle part) even if it is a fantasy novel. It's based on the fairytale about the girl who has to rescue her six brothers (who were turned into swans by their evil step-mother) by weaving them a shirt made from thorns. When I was little, someone in the family gave me a stack of fairytale stories, all gorgeously illustrated. That particular tale (along with The Nightingale) stuck in my mind the most. So...I was really happy to have found this new interpretation of my favourite fairytale!

Tomorrow: massive e-mail responses and hopefully a new site!

<-----Feb. 17, 02 + 11:22 p.m.----->

Boo

My bio test went just awful. The really depressing part is that I went into the exam thinking I'd do well because I'd studied for so long, but it was all for nothing because the actual test was so different from my expectations-preparations(!!). Harder than the tests for the past five years for the unit. You should've seen us, literally throngs of utter strangers were just coming up to each other to ask how they felt about the test. Everyone was pretty much shocked by how hard it was. I guess you could say that today was one of the biggest academic slumps in my life. *sigh*

Well...one good thing, the server is working again. Ohh...and I'm going to see Romeo and Juliet the ballet tomorrow with my mother, which should be fun. And next week is reading week, translation, some R & R.

<-----Feb. 14, 02 + 11:16 p.m.----->

Shiiiiiiiii!!

Accckk....I'm late for school! OMG, last night, I was haphazardly taking a look at the syllabus and to my extreme shock, realized that I didn't have to study lad stuff at all for this bio test. That cuts down on about 8 hours of studying! Meh, I'll still probably do bad.

I finally figured out how to take caps on Win media player! (yeah, yeah, I know I'm slow^^). ANYway...guess who I took the most caps of? It is of the perverted old man! Haha! Actually, Shigure isn't old (still pre-30) and he's sooooooo hot, right Lyn? Seriously...I think Shigure is one step down from Vash in the cuteness area.

And here he is, SD. Good enough to eat.

<-----Feb. 12, 02 + 11:21 a.m.----->

So little time...

Acccccck, there's a gazibillion things to do, not including studying for my great big bio test and, the basics like eat and sleep and return library books. *sigh*

I finally finished my CCD site, Enchanted Forest. The design is dismal, just to warn you =_=;;

PS, Dianna, the Maaya layout for the blog is wonderful! I love it lots!

<-----Feb. 10, 02 + 07:13 p.m.----->

Birthday Cheers to you!

How does it feel to be 19 my friend?! Hehehe!

New links! Crack Dealers (a title not to be taken literally) is a very spunky group log. I also linked this lovely blog whose very cool webmistress has recently opened a couple of Furuba sites...c'est excellent. What's even more impressive, she's majoring in Egyptology...one of my biggest obsessions outside of anime^^.

Not to worry Lyn,I'm not at all miffed^_^....I...just think that Van Fanel is really, really, really barbaric, crude and domineering. His entire personality bothers me like no other anime character can. My dislike became amplified from the vast quantity of trashy Van x Hitomi fics out there (R2G is waay outside of this category, of course!). Ohhhh, the Van x Gatti pairing was actually Savie's idea ^_^.

She's a cute ho, nonetheless SKU sure is different from X! And yet, despite all of X's blood and gore, I think Utena can get far more disturbing than the former. I love Nanami's character. Even though she's a little schemer and troublemaker, she's also quite innocent, when it comes down to it. She reminds me of Scarlett O'Hara, but cuter.

Love the new layout! Hey...I liked the old layout too.

Accccck...that bulldozing car sounds really scarry. I'm glad that no one was hurt! Ohh..thanks for the link, btw. I just finished reading "Reflections" and I thought it was excellent. Your take on Fuuma was a very interesting, he was perceptive, clever and understated, a refreshing change from how most authors tend to portray him (Kamui-licking, Kotori-killing, Kakyou-fondling...ad nauseum) ^_^.

<-----Feb. 7, 02 + 10:26 p.m.----->

Ditto, Laine

Sav, I'd pay to see some Gatti x Van. What an original concept! Both of them have really strong personalities--and Gatti, unlike Dilly, is sane--making room for a nice (potential) clash or two.

Another math quiz under my belt, yaaaay.

<-----Feb. 5, 02 + 05:53 p.m.----->

Wow, lookie!

Amy gave me this new layout *glomp*! I think it's absolutely fabulous. Tori's never looked prettier and orange is the best colour in the world^_^. NS browsers...well. Erm, download IE this instant.

Ack, ack, gotta go to bank (am bankrupt...mother gave mollah. Mother is nice. This is not a telegraph *stop*). Right, which normally wouldn't be a big deal, but it's so cold outside today! I was walking across king's college circle after Eng, and I thought I was going to expire from the cold. At one point, I got so cold, I mistook cars for snow banks, the field for Alaska. *brrr*

<-----Feb. 4, 02 + 05:03 p.m.----->
